A container with an attached shelf includes a plurality of panels connected together to enclose an interior space. The interior space is divided into an upper interior space and a lower interior space by a shelf adhered to one or more of the plurality of panels. The shelf includes a main shelf panel and a pair of opposed side shelf flaps connected to the main shelf panel along a pair of fold lines.

The opposed shelf flaps provide load bearing support to the main shelf panel and the main shelf panel is sufficiently rigid to support the weight of an upper product placed in the upper interior space in a manner such that an air gap is maintained between the top of a lower product placed into the lower interior space and the shelf itself so as to avoid unwanted contact between the two products.

PACKAGING AND BLANK THEREFOR

A machine for forming a container from a blank of sheet material includes an outer body frame, a mandrel mounted to the body frame, a lifting assembly coupled to the body frame, and a lateral presser assembly and a folding arm assembly coupled to the lifting assembly, wherein the lifting assembly moves the lateral presser assembly and the folding arm assembly in a first direction and an opposite, second direction. A folding arm servomechanism is operatively connected to a folding arm of the folding arm assembly and rotates the folding arm relative to the mandrel to wrap a first portion of the blank around the mandrel. A lateral presser servomechanism is operatively connected to an engaging bar of the lateral presser assembly and rotates the engaging bar relative to the mandrel to wrap a second portion of the blank around the mandrel to at least partially form the container.

Carton sleeve, carton and method for producing a carton

A carton sleeve of a composite material for producing a carton is illustrated and described, including: a sleeve area, a longitudinal seam that joins two edges of the composite material to form an all-round carton sleeve, and two pseudo fold lines that pass through the sleeve area, wherein the carton sleeve is folded along both pseudo fold lines. In order to allow the production of cartons with a more complex geometry, it is envisaged that the carton sleeve in the region of the sleeve area has no further or no continuous fold lines apart from the two pseudo fold lines. In addition a carton of such a carton sleeve as well as a method for producing a carton from such a carton sleeve are illustrated and described.

REINFORCED POLYGONAL CONTAINER MADE OF GLUED CORRUGATED LAMINAR MATERIAL, PRODUCTION METHOD AND MACHINE FOR FORMING SAME

The invention relates to a polygonal container comprising a tubular polygonal body (10) with an even number of flat faces (11) numbering more than four, which is formed by a strip of corrugated cardboard (19) rolled up at least two full turns and adhered to itself by means of lines of glue (30) transverse to the channels of the corrugated cardboard, forming a multilayer wall (13); a base body (20) defined by a base panel of cut and folded stiff double-faced corrugated cardboard (24) attached around an end portion of the tubular polygonal body (10). The method comprises forming the tubular polygonal body by means of rolling the strip of corrugated cardboard around a polygonal rotary drum (51) and subsequently attaching to a base body (20).
