The cover is void of mechanical fasteners and has at least two functionally different cover elements which include at least a belt and a reinforcement structure.

The foamed polymer provides insulation and structure while the elastomer coating and the straps provide increased durability and functionality. The body of the cooler contains grooves in which the straps are housed in order to secure the lid. The strap system also provides a means for carrying the invention as an anchoring place for handles. The resulting cooler system is lightweight and durable as well as inexpensive to construct.

A bowl is removably positionable in the cover and the bowl is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to capture the used cooking oil. The bowl is disposed of when the bowl is removed from the pot to facilitate the used cooking oil to be disposed without pouring the used cooking oil down sewer pipes. A blower is coupled to the cover and the blower urging air upwardly onto the bowl when the blower is turned on to cool the used cooking oil in the bowl.
