PULL-OFF CLOSURE FOR CONTAINERS
20190263570 · 2019-08-29 ·

A pull-off closure for containers having an opening whose end portion defines an annular collar projecting externally; the closure including: an upper portion shaped in the form of a shell having an upper face from which extends a collar, which can be turned over to abut on the annular collar of the container, during capping of the container, the upper face and the collar forming, at their connection, an annular edge; lines of weakness formed on the upper face and on the collar forming an opening strip which extends in a tab extending beyond the collar; a gripping element which can be associated with the tab, wherein the lines of weakness extend on the collar outside the annular edge.

Tamper evidence bridges

An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.

CONTAINER FOR A GOVERNMENT REGULATED PRODUCT HAVING A CHILD RESISTANT LID

Provided is a container for storing, preserving, identifying, tracking and transporting a federally controlled substance having a child resistant and senior friendly lid, and a process for identifying and tracking federally controlled substances within the re-sealable containers. The federally controlled substance containers include a two-piece child resistant and senior friendly lid and a 2-factor authentication identification tag, as well as a microchip for identifying the container controlled substance contents and tracking the container. Controlled substance contents within the containers are optimized for long term storage by removal of the oxygen therein, and the containers and controlled substance contents can be readily identified, detected, tracked and traced after being filled with a federally controlled substance.

Head stand closure with a tamper-evident seal

A head stand container closure is provided. The closure comprises a base, and a lid having a top plate upon which the closure rests in use. The base is attachable to a container and the lid is attached or attachable to the base. The closure comprises an internal tamper-evident member comprising a part which is initially spaced from the lid top plate and upon first opening of the closure the part moves to or towards the top plate when the head is in a head down orientation.

Plastic closure with enhanced performance

A plastic closure embodying the principles of the present invention comprises a closure cap having a top wall portion, and an annular skirt portion depending from the top wall portion. The skirt portion includes an internal thread formation for threaded engagement with the external thread formation of an associated container. In order to facilitate high-speed application, and minimize the use of polymeric material, the closure is configured to exhibit a variation in retention force which decreases in a direction away from the top wall portion of the closure cap.

SCORED LOCKING CAP FOR NECK CONTAINER
20240208697 · 2024-06-27 ·

A locking cap for a container comprising a neck comprises: an outer body, defined by an upper face and a cylindrical wall, and including a breakable strip extending from the upper face to a free end of the cylindrical wall, a capsule, arranged on the upper face and rigidly connected to the breakable strip, a cage, locked in the outer body, having a generally cylindrical shape, and comprising a plurality of bridges connecting neighboring branches, and a flexible member, one end of which is rigidly connected to a bridge and another free end of which is oriented upward, the flexible member being adjacent to a weak point of the bridge. The flexible member of the cage is rigidly connected to the breakable strip of the outer body.

Tamper-evident closure

A tamper-evident closure containing an outer cap with a sidewall and a top wall having a tamper-evident member connected by a frangible structure; an inner cap with a sidewall and a top wall, coaxially nested in the outer cap; a protruding element between the top walls; a first engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in a screwing direction; a second engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in an unscrewing direction; and a third engagement mechanism for breaking the frangible structure upon rotational movement of the outer and inner caps.

FLIP-TOP CLOSURE

A flip-top closure includes first and second polymeric closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion, a sealing mechanism and an annular skirt portion. The second closure portion includes a tamper-evident band. The closure portions are attached by a line of weakness. The closure portions are further attached via a hinge. The hinge includes a locking tab, a flexible tab and linking segments. The locking tab extends further outwardly from a center of the closure in a closed position than the flexible tab and the linking segments. During the opening of the flip-top closure, the locking tab moves and passes the flexible tab such that the flip-top closure locks in a fully open position.
