Winding device and method for designing winding device
Provided is a winding device capable of speeding up a winding operation while ensuring a winding quality. A feed roller feeds a sheet-like member. A take-up roller takes up the sheet-like member. Each roller guides transportation of the sheet-like member between the feed roller and the take-up roller. A sum of moments of inertia of each free roller is determined so that a variation in a tension applied to the sheet-like member is equal to or less than 16.7 [N/m].
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR JOINING THE PLY OF A REEL OF PAPER IN DEPLETION WITH THE INITIAL FLAP OF A NEW REEL
The present invention concerns a method for joining the ply of a reel of paper in depletion with the initial flap of a new reel, as well as an apparatus adapted for carrying out such a method.
Thanks to the method according to the present invention, and to the apparatus suitable for carrying it out, the joining of the reels takes place without using gluing means, like for example the double-sided tape used in known methods, avoiding the relative drawbacks, the adhesion between the plies of the reels to be joined taking place by electrostatic attraction.
DEVICE FOR STORING AND REMOVING CARDBOARD FOR A BRIDGE IN A CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PRODUCTION LINE
A device for cardboard storage and removal for a bridge in a corrugated cardboard production line includes a bridge over which a conveyor system for conveying the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web is arranged. The exit end of the conveyor system for conveying the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web is provided with a clamping and cutting unit and a movable cardboard storage carriage unit is provided under the conveyor system for conveying the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, under which conveyor system a conveyor belt system is provided in the bridge, and in the bridge an opening is provided, under which a waste cardboard collecting carriage is provided. The movable cardboard storage carriage unit stores the cardboard by means of cardboard storage rolls, which retain the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web flat on the bridge. In the event that a splicing defect is detected, the defective piece is cut out by the clamping and cutting unit and ejected by the conveyor belt system to the waste cardboard collecting carriage through the opening. Hence, it follows that productivity is improved.
Imaging system for processing a media
An imaging system includes an imaging station, an actuator for driving a medium roller for controllably displacing the medium along a media transport path, and a controller assembly. The controller assembly includes a sensor device for generating a position signal and a processor for processing the position signal. The actuator is actuated in response to an actuation command from the controller assembly, which actuation command is derivable from a feedback component and a feedforward component. The feedback component is based on a position error. The processor is further arranged for determining a time dependent status parameter, which status parameter represents a status of the medium on the medium roller. The processor is further arranged for deriving an actuation command estimate based on the status parameter, and wherein the feedforward component includes the actuation command estimate.
ACCUMULATION DEVICE
An accumulation device is provided with a loading unit, a tensioning unit, an accumulation unit, and unloading unit and a controller. The tensioning unit comprises multiple fixed rollers capable of rolling, and movable rollers capable of rolling and arranged so as to be capable of moving with respect to the fixed rollers. Substrates are conveyed so as to move back and forth alternately between the fixed rollers and the movable rollers in a wrapped state, and a prescribed tensile force is applied to the substrates by a force acting on the moveable rollers in the direction away from the fixed rollers. The controller performs control so as to maintain the positions of the movable rollers in the tensioning unit constant.

Provided is a workpiece conveyance method for conveying a workpiece (1) in a predetermined direction by applying a conveying force (F) to the workpiece (1) while supporting the workpiece (1) through use of free rollers (11), and the workpiece conveyance method includes: applying flows of a fluid to the free rollers (11) to apply a rotation auxiliary force (f) to the free rollers (11) in a rotation direction of the free rollers (11) during conveyance of the workpiece (1).
Paper conveying mechanism for printing apparatus
A paper conveying mechanism includes an elastic urging member provided on each side surface of an upper guide. The urging member includes a projecting portion that projects toward a side guide forming each end of a paper conveying path. An outer width of the upper guide inclusive of the projecting portion is greater than an inner width of the side guides. When a printer cover is closed, the upper guide is urged by the urging member substantially to the center of the inner width of the side guides, thereby producing gaps of substantially equal size on both sides of the upper guide in the paper width direction.
SYSTEMS FOR UNWINDING A ROLL OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL INTERLEAVED WITH A POROUS MATERIAL, AND RELATED METHODS
An apparatus (un-interleaver) for unwinding a roll of material interleaved with another material, and for separating the materials, includes a first platform, a second platform, a tension-sensor, an edge-sensor, and a controller. The controller monitors signals generated by the tension sensor and the edge sensor, and in response to the signals: a) causes the speed at which the second platform rotates to change to maintain a predetermined tension in the second material as the second material travels from the first platform toward the second platform, and b) causes the second platform to move relative to the first platform to align the edge of the second material traveling toward the roll of second material with the edge of the second material in the roll.
Web transport system including scavenger blade
A web transport system for transporting a web of media along a web-transport path including a fluid bar for guiding the web of media, and a scavenger blade positioned downstream of the fluid bar. A liquid is pumped through holes in an exterior bearing surface of the fluid bar, thereby pushing the web of media away from the fluid bar. The scavenger bar includes a blade edge facing the first surface of the web of media, the blade edge being spaced apart from the first surface of the web of media by a gap distance. The scavenger blade removes at least some liquid from the first surface of the web of media as it passes by the scavenger blade, thereby reducing the amount of liquid that is carried along to portions of the web-transport path that are downstream of the scavenger blade.

Provided is a printing device including a printing mechanism that performs printing on a long medium and a cutting mechanism that cuts the medium after printing in a width direction of the medium orthogonal to a transport direction of the medium, the printing device capable of performing printing on the medium by the printing mechanism and transporting the medium toward the cutting mechanism even during the cutting of the medium by the cutting mechanism. A printing device (1) includes a tension applying mechanism (10) having a tension bar (9) that comes into contact with a medium (2) after printing to apply tension to the medium (2).
