METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE ROPE REEVING OF A PULLEY BLOCK
The disclosure relates to a method for determining the number of rope reevings of a pulley block with a top block and a bottom block, wherein the rope path of at least one rope line of the pulley block, which is covered during a time window, is detected and compared with at least one rope path of a further rope line covered within the time window and/or with the height difference between top block and bottom block changed within the time window, in order to determine the number of rope reevings of the pulley block.
Multi-purpose Adjustable Ceiling Suspension Storage Hoist
A hoist assembly includes: a rope; a first mount having a base and a pulley attached to the base; a second mount having a base and a pulley attached to the base; a first lift pulley movably associated with the first mount with the rope; a second lift pulley moveably associated with the second mount with the rope; a pair of support straps; a bracket located on each of the first lift pulley and second lift pulley for receiving one of the pair of support straps and one or more apertures formed through a side wall of the bracket; and a lateral strap secured at a first end through the one or more apertures of the bracket of the first lift pulley and at a second end through the one or more apertures of the bracket of the second lift pulley.
LIFTING MACHINERY WITH AUTOMATED REEVING CONFIGURATION CHANGE
A lifting machinery includes a lower reeve block and an upper reeve block, the lower reeve block hanging by a lifting rope connected to a lifting winch, and a reversible connection mechanical system to be reversibly configurable between two reeving configurations including a connected configuration and a disconnected configuration. The reversible connection mechanical system includes a locking element, a locking complementary element and an elastic return member urging the locking element to engage with the locking complementary element. The lifting machinery further includes a control/command unit configured to pilot the lifting winch and a sensor configured to measure a force on a strand of the lifting rope. The control/command unit is configured to pilot the lifting winch in a connection phase and in a disconnection phase according to the measurement data of the force on the strand of the lifting rope.
Hoisting system and method
A hoisting system of this disclosure includes a drawworks, a crown block or a compensator, a traveling block and at least one sheave assembly connected to the crown block or compensator in Low Load/High Speed mode and connected to the traveling block in High Load/Low Speed mode. A method to lift a load using a hoisting system of this disclosure uses a drawworks, a crown block or a compensator, a traveling block and at least one sheave assembly connected to the crown block or compensator in Low Load/High Speed mode and connected to the traveling block in High Load/Low Speed mode.
Apparatus and method for replacing cable or wire in a hoisting system
A method for replacing a length of a wire/cable in a hoisting system. The wire/cable extends from a storage drum to a winch. The method includes removing at least one lock which prevents a deadline anchor arranged between the storage drum and the winch from rotating, reeling onto the storage drum a first length of the wire/cable with a simultaneous coordinated operation of the deadline anchor and the storage drum, the simultaneous coordinated operation being controlled so that the wire/cable is in a continuous tension between the deadline anchor and the storage drum, securing the wire/cable to an attachment point, cutting a section of the wire/cable between the attachment point and the winch and removing the cut section of the wire/cable, reattaching the wire/cable remaining to the winch, reeling out a second length of the wire/cable from the storage drum, and securing the wire/cable to the deadline anchor.
Offshore floating vessel and a method of operating the same
An offshore floating vessel includes a hoisting system including a drive for moving connecting device and emergency brakes to inhibit motion of the connecting device; wherein the hoisting system is to be operated at least in a hoisting mode and in an active heave compensation mode; wherein hoisting system is to perform an active heave compensation when operated in the active heave compensation mode and to operate without active heave compensation when operated in the hoisting mode; wherein the emergency brakes are operable in a normally-energized mode including a de-energized state where the emergency brakes engage so as to inhibit motion of the connecting device relative to the floating vessel; wherein each emergency brake of the plurality of hydraulic emergency brakes has associated with it a separate accumulator reservoir.
IMPROVED MULTIPLE ACTION HOIST
A hoist for transferring the ends of power lines between supports at different locations including a pair of hoist mechanisms each having a respective tension line receiving drum and which are simultaneously operable with a single crank arm. Each drum has a respective ratchet mechanism that can be selectively set such that upon pivotable movement of the single crank arm between a first and second positions the ratchet mechanisms (i) simultaneously rotate both the drums in a take up direction for simultaneously winding said tensions lines onto the drums, (ii) simultaneously enable rotation of the drums in a release direction for simultaneously unwinding the tensions lines from the drums, or (iii) rotate one drum in a take-up direction for winding the respective tension line on the one drum while simultaneously enabling rotating the other drum in a release direction for unwinding the tension line from the other drum.
Vehicle Winch Game Loader
A vehicle winch game loader. The device includes a central support including a first pulley connected to an upper end thereof. A rear support is connected to the upper end of the central support. A front support includes a rear end connected to a lower end of the central support and a front end having a second pulley connected thereto. The front support extends in a direction opposite the rear support. A crossbar is connected to the lower end of the central support, wherein the crossbar is oriented perpendicular to the front support. A rear end of the rear support is configured to frictionally engage a rear end of a vehicle when the crossbar and the front support are supported on an upper surface of a front end of the vehicle. The device may be utilized to load game or other objects onto the vehicle using the vehicle's winch.
