WASTEWATER SCREEN FILTER AND CHAIN TENSIONING SYSTEM
A screen filter for wastewater applications includes a chain tensioning system. The chain tensioning system provides a tensioning force for a screen filter chain. The chain tensioning system includes a chain adjuster device configured to tension the screen filter chain. The chain tensioning system additionally includes a sensor configured to provide a signal representative of a load applied by the chain adjuster; wherein the chain adjuster device is configured to apply a force in a direction that tensions the chain and wherein the signal provided by the sensor is representative of the force.
BAR SCREEN FILTER APPARATUS AND METHOD
Apparatus for removing debris from channeled water that includes a bar screen assembly. The assembly includes a plurality of spaced apart screen bars, each bar having an upstream edge and a downstream edge and distal ends to which U-shaped clips are attached. Each of the clips has a bar engaging portion and a cross member engaging portion that attaches to an associated cross member. The clips operate to space the trailing edge of the screen bars a predetermined distance from associated cross members and allow easy replacement of a bar. A continuous conveyor carries a plurality of rakes having a plurality of spaced apart tines which are adapted to fit between the screen bars as the rake is moved along the bars by the conveyor. The tines of the rake have a length that substantially spans the distance between the leading edge and trailing edge of a bar, so that tips of the rake tines extend to at least the trailing edge of an associated bar. Intermediate clips may be used to support the intermediate section of the screen bars.
POROUS LAYERED FILM
A layered porous film with a fluidic path through orthogonally oriented ribbed layers of varying size and spacing for the filtering or separation of particles or compounds. Any number of additional layers and materials may be added to modify the flow characteristics through the film.
Closed loop recycling system and dip tank for antimicrobial compounds
A dip tank and recycling system for applying antimicrobial solution to food items, including a dip tank having a bottom and sides, and holding a liquid antimicrobial solution. A conveyor to convey food items through the tank passes through the liquid antimicrobial solution held in the tank such that food items conveyed on the conveyor are dipped in the liquid antimicrobial solution. At least two discharge nozzles spray fresh antimicrobial solution into the tank. The discharge nozzles are located in the sides of the tank, and are positioned above the level of the conveyor but below an expected top level of the liquid antimicrobial solution contained within the tank such that food items conveyed on the conveyor are agitated by the force of the spray from the discharge nozzles. The spray from the discharge nozzles causes unstacking of items on the conveyor, producing an even application of the antimicrobial solution.
Barriers and Filters
An elongate barrier comprising an elongate apertured load-bearing sheet material and an elongate apertured filter material attached to the load-bearing sheet material. The length of the filter material can be changed elastically so that the barrier material can be transported in the form of a roll which can be unrolled for installation.
Filter and barrier
An elongate barrier material comprising an elongate apertured load-bearing sheet material and an elongate apertured filter material attached to the load-bearing sheet material. The apertures in the filter material have an ASTM D-4751 size less than 500 and the size of the apertures in the load-bearing material is at least 4 times the size of the apertures in the filter material. The length of the filter material can be changed elastically so that the barrier material can be transported in the form of a roll which can be unrolled for installation.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER
A method for treating wastewater in a wastewater treatment plant includes passing the wastewater passes through a rake system and, thereafter, a sand trap to separate from the wastewater, solids having different particle sizes. A screening device screens the wastewater emerging from the sand trap to yield a primary sludge that fails to pass through the screening device and a suspension passing through the screening device. The suspension is fed to at least one further treatment stage, and the primary sludge is thickened with the aid of at least one thickener. The thickened primary sludge is fed to one or several further treatment stages. Moreover, a wastewater treatment plant for treating wastewater is described.
Grid bar for a bar screen of a filter unit, and filter unit equipped therewith
A grid bar for a screen grid of a screen includes a multiple number of grid bars arranged next to each other and spaced apart from each other, which serves the purpose of separating screening material from a flowing liquid, such as wastewater flowing in a sewer channel. The grid bar includes a plastic reinforced with fibers, whereas at least a part of the fibers extend in a longitudinal direction of the grid bar. A screen includes such a screen grid.
Coke catching screen
A flow diverter of a coke catching element is provided. The flow diverter includes a body disposable in a flow field and defining an interior, an upstream end, which is defined relative to the flow field, and a downstream end, which is downstream from the upstream end. At least one of the upstream end and the downstream end is open to the interior and the other of the upstream end and the downstream end is closed. The interior diverges at the one of the upstream end and the downstream end that is open and converges at the other of the upstream end and the downstream end.
