POWER GENERATION USING HYDROGEN FUEL WITH ECONOMICAL CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE
Systems and methods for generating power using hydrogen fuel, such as derived from natural gas, are provided. Feed materials are introduced into a compact hydrogen generator to produce carbon dioxide, hydrogen gas and steam. Sorbent material within the compact hydrogen generator acts to absorb carbon dioxide, forming a used sorbent. Hydrogen gas and steam are separated from the used sorbent and passed to a power generator such as a hydrogen turbine to produce power. The used sorbent is introduced into a calciner and heated to desorb carbon dioxide and form a regenerated sorbent which can be recycled to the compact hydrogen generator.

Systems for the control and use of fluids and particles in fuel applications including boilers, refinery and chemical fluid heaters, rotary kilns, glass melters, solid dryers, drying ovens, organic fume incinerators, and scrubbers
Delivery mechanisms and distribution mechanisms are varied, adjusted, or modified based on a desired fuel application. Dimensions, flow rates, pressures, viscosities, temperatures, friction parameters, and combinations thereof may be varied, adjusted or modified. The fuel application may include a scrubber application. The scrubber application uses a delivery mechanism to deliver a wet or dry scrubbing agent at a low pressure to a distribution mechanism. The distribution mechanism distributes the scrubbing agent within the scrubbing chamber. The delivery mechanism is adjustable based on properties of a feedstock utilized to deliver the scrubbing agent, properties of a propellant, or properties of the scrubbing application. The distribution mechanism is adjustable based on desired distribution characteristics including shape, size, or velocity of drops, mists, or particles distributed. Location, processes, and by-products associated with output of the scrubbing application may be based on a stage of the scrubbing application.
Post-combustion carbon dioxide capture and compression
A method is provided in which a carbon dioxide containing flue gas is provided by combusting a carbonaceous fuel in a high pressure steam generating unit using combustion air, and in which the carbon dioxide in the flue gas is at least partially captured and compressed in a carbon dioxide capture and compression unit having a carbon dioxide scrubber operated with an absorbing liquid which is regenerated using low pressure steam. The combustion air used in the high pressure steam generating unit is at least partially heated using sensible heat of the flue gas and/or the steam used for regenerating the absorption liquid of the carbon dioxide scrubber is at least partially generated using sensible heat of the flue gas. A corresponding system is also described herein.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DIRECT DRYING OF INORGANIC SLUDGE WITH DRUM DRAWING PROCESS
A method and apparatus for direct drying of inorganic sludge with a drum drawing process, comprising the following steps: 1) drum mixed drying of slag and sludge: respectively conveying the slag and sludge into a drum (1) in proportion, completing mixing, heat exchange, dehydration, cooling and crushing of the slag and sludge under the rolling action of the drum (1) and a steel ball to achieve cooling, crushing and drying of the slag and sludge, and directly discharging the obtained mixture; 2) slag and sludge separation: separating the steel slag and dry sludge in a manner of combining screening and rotary separation; 3) tail gas treatment: treating dusts, sulfides and organic compounds in tail gas generated by the dry sludge by using wet alkali washing and activated carbon adsorption, and discharging the treated tail gas; and 4) tailing sludge treatment: generating steam and dusts in the drum treatment of the slag and sludge, allowing dusts to enter a tail gas treatment device (4) with steam, aggregating the dusts after wet washing or spraying, and then conveying into a tailing sludge blending device (5) by means of a conveying device, mixing and stirring the tailing sludge and original sludge, conveying the obtained mixture into the drum (1), and drying the mixture to realize zero discharge of undried sludge.
Method of producing sulfur-depleted syngas
A system and method for processing unconditioned syngas first removes solids and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC), then removes volatile organic compounds (VOC), and then removes at least one sulfur containing compound from the syngas. Additional processing may be performed depending on such factors as the source of syngas being processed, the products, byproducts and intermediate products desired to be formed, captured or recycled and environmental considerations.

WASTE WATER EVAPORATION METHODS AND APPARATUS
A waste water processing system includes an upflow contacting column having a flue gas input for receiving flue gas having a temperature of at least 500 degrees F., a waste water input, and a flue gas output. The waste water input is coupled to a fluid injector, e.g., atomizing nozzles, positioned in the throat of a Venturi portion of the upflow contacting column or in a sidewall of the throat of the Venturi portion of the upflow contacting column. The flue gas in the upflow contacting column has a high velocity, e.g., a gas velocity exceeding 65 fps in the throat of the Venturi portion of the upflow contacting column at a position where the fluid injector is located. Drying additives such as recycled ash, lime, and/or cement may be, and sometimes are, input into the upflow contacting column downstream of the waste water input.
Process and plant for removing thiols from synthesis gas
The invention relates to a process and a plant for removing thiols from synthesis gas. Thiols and optionally thiophene and carbon disulfide are absorbed in a dedicated absorption stage with methanol as physical absorption medium. Methanol laden with at least thiols is freed of thiols in a stripping stage with methanol vapours as stripping gas and the methanol vapours-containing thiols are freed of methanol in a scrubbing stage. The process according to the invention minimizes methanol losses and the amounts of coolant required for the process.
