The device includes a twin screw extruder set, a cooling unit, and a static mixing unit; where the twin screw extruder set includes at least two twin screw extruders in series, each of which is provided with at least two inlets and at least one vacuum port, the cooling unit is disposed between last two stages of the twin screw extruders, and an outlet of a last-stage twin screw extruder is connected to the static mixing unit. Through the arrangement of various units of the device and their positional relations, components can be mixed in sequence or added in stages, so as to adapt to the characteristics of each component; a heat stabilizer and a polymer are added together as raw materials, which can increase the temperature for dehydration and avoid thermal decomposition of the polymer, and they cooperate with a dehydrant to make water in the system easier to remove; and the device has high operation flexibility and can adapt to the requirement of variability of a formulation of the silane-modified sealing material.
Device and method for changing solution conditions in serial flow
Disclosed herein is a device and method for changing the conditions of a solution flowing in a serial path. In particular, disclosed herein is a device that includes a chemical reactor, a first system, and a second system that are each serial to one another. Each of the first system and the second system include a mixing chamber, a solvent reservoir, a solvent pump, and one or more detectors. Also disclosed herein is a method for changing the condition of a solution that includes flowing a liquid sample in a path, serially mixing the sample with at least two discrete solvents while it flows through the path, and detecting the condition of the sample after it is mixed with each solvent.
Dry additive and fluid mixing system, assembly and method
The application is directed to a system and method for mixing fluid and dry material to produce fluid mixture compositions. The system may be provided on a portable platform for transport of the system for use at different locations or the system may be provided as a permanent installation. The system includes a first module for receiving fluid into the system and an optional second module attachable to the first module for providing dry material to be mixed with the fluid received into the system. The fluid mixture compositions produced by the system can be conveyed out from the system to one or more target locations.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CONCRETE, IN PARTICULAR A HIGH EARLY STRENGTH CONCRETE
A device for producing a concrete includes a cement premixer for mixing a cement suspension, the cement premixer having an ultrasonic probe for preparing a cement suspension, a crystallization tank arrangement with the first crystallization tank, for increasing the early strengths of the concrete, and a concrete mixer for producing a concrete mixture from the premixed cement suspension, in particular with the addition of aggregates.
METHODS FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT
A method for treating wastewater containing organic contaminants is disclosed. Wastewater containing organic contaminants is fed into an outer pipe of a pipe-in-pipe assembly, wherein the outer pipe concentrically surrounds an inner pipe. Oxygen is fed into the inner pipe which is rotatably mounted and is provided with openings, thereby to provide different sizes of oxygen bubbles to the outer pipe. The oxygen is dispersed into an annular portion between the outer pipe and the inner pipe thereby contacting the wastewater with oxygen; and the thus treated wastewater is collected. The inner pipe may be a tunable membrane material, and the outer pipe may have a biocatalyst material present on its inner surface.
Apparatus and method for aerating wastewater
An aeration apparatus including a tank defining a cavity to receive a liquid, at least one aerator positioned within the tank, and a plenum connected to a bottom surface of the tank and in fluid communication with the at least one aerator, in which an air flow is directed from the plenum into the at least one aerator to deliver air to the liquid in the tank to oxidize the fluid.
INSERT ASSEMBLY FOR FOAMING DEVICE
An insert assembly for a foam generating device includes a first insert and a second insert with a channel defined therethrough. Inserts may be formed by two shell halves that are coupleable to one another to define the channel. A plurality of ribs extends along an interior surface of the channel. Pad structures defined by porous media are provided in the channel and gripped by the plurality of ribs. The pads receive cleaning solution passing through the channel and cause foam to be generated by breaking-up the cleaning solution and agitating. The ribs may be arranged horizontally relative to a longitudinal axis of the insert assembly and retain the pads within the device. Inserts may be arranged in series along a longitudinal axis of the foam generating device with the pad structures arranged within the channel.
Circulation of components during microfluidization and/or homogenization of emulsions
An improved method for the manufacture of an oil-in-water emulsion involves circulation of emulsion components between a first container and a second container via a homogenizer and/or via a microfluidization device. Usefully, all of the emulsion components from the first container are emptied before being returned.
Ultrafine bubble generation device for aquaculture or wastewater treatment
Provided is an ultrafine bubble generation device for aquaculture or wastewater treatment with which it is possible to efficiently cause ultrafine bubbles to be dissolved or to coexist, and to increase the concentration of a gas in the liquid. An ultrafine bubble generation device for aquaculture or wastewater treatment provided with a channel for channeling a liquid, a compression device for pumping a gas into the channel, and a bubble generation medium for releasing the gas pumped by the compression device as ultrafine bubbles into the liquid in the channel, wherein the bubble generation medium is formed from a carbon-based porous material and is disposed so as to be horizontal or below horizontal with respect to the direction of flow of the liquid in the channel.
