Methods of manufacturing topical compositions and apparatus for the same
Provided according to some embodiments of the invention are methods of manufacturing a pharmaceutical composition. In some embodiments, such methods include homogenizing at a first excipient composition that includes a viscosity agent and at least one solvent to form a first premix composition; separately homogenizing at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and a second excipient composition to form a second premix composition; and combining the first premix composition and the second premix composition to form the composition. The pre-mixing of constituents may increase the stability of the API and provide uniformity of the dispersion of the constituents throughout the final topical composition.
Smoothie machine and methods of making smoothies
Methods and systems for conveniently producing fresh smoothies, which can be tailored to the particular nutritional requirements and desires of the individual customer. The system is typically a semi-automatic or fully automatic system and may be in the form of a vending machine for smoothies. It allows a consumer to select ingredients and other options, and provides a freshly-made smoothie in a short amount of time. The system generally includes a user input apparatus for receiving orders and customer preferences, and then makes a smoothie to order, delivers the smoothie to the customer, and cleans the blending device.

What is presented and described is a method for avoiding the microbial attack of a cleaning apparatus (X2), in particular a cleaning apparatus (X2) for a metering system, wherein the cleaning apparatus (X2) has at least one mechanical cleaning element (X29) with at least one cleaning surface (X31), wherein the method is characterized in that the at least one cleaning surface (X31) of the at least one mechanical cleaning element (X29) is exposed, at least temporarily, to an oxidizing agent. The present invention further relates to a method for cleaning a metering system, in particular for a dispersion, especially a paint-metering system, to a cleaning apparatus, and to a metering system.
Drink Mixer Apparatus
A drink mixer apparatus for easily mixing beverages includes a handle having a handle proximal end, a handle distal end, a handle left side, a handle right side, a handle top side, and a handle bottom side. A battery is coupled within the handle. A motor is coupled within the handle and is in operational communication with the battery. A trigger is coupled to the handle and is in operational communication with the motor. An extension arm is coupled to the handle. The extension arm is coupled to the handle distal end and bends to form an angle between 45°-90°. A mixer shaft is rotatably coupled to the extension arm. A drive line is coupled to the motor and extends through the extension to be in operational communication with the mixer shaft. A mixer paddle is coupled to the mixer shaft.
Bone cement applicator with a closable gas supply opening
A device for producing a bone cement dough from a monomer liquid and a cement powder and dispensing the bone cement dough. The device includes a cartridge holding the cement powder in an internal space. A monomer receptacle screws onto the cartridge, forms a chamber, and has a plunger with a passage that is permeable to gases and the monomer liquid but is impermeable to the cement powder and that connects the internal space to the chamber. The plunger tightly closes the internal space with the exception of the passage. A gas supply opening is arranged in the wall of the monomer receptacle. A monomer liquid container holds the monomer liquid and is located in the chamber. An opening facility opens the container, and closes the gas supply opening before opening the container. Also provided is a method for producing and dispensing the bone cement dough.

The present invention relates to a device (60) for manufacturing pharmaceutical compositions, comprising: a support (62); a mixing container (16); a plurality of reservoirs (18, 20) containing starting materials for the composition of a medicament; at least one dispensing device (64, 66) that is designed to dispense an amount of a starting material into the mixing container, wherein the dispensing device is assembled, or is designed to be assembled, with a reservoir; a stirring device (68) that is able to stir the mixing container and/or the contents of the mixing container; and an electronic module (74) for controlling the at least one dispensing device.
METHODS OF MIXING AND DISPENSING CELLS
A vessel having a mixer that ensures a homogeneous cell distribution in dispensed quantities. The vessel has a mixer therein for stirring contents of the vessel and an orifice in a lower wall to which a cell dispenser is attached. The cell dispenser dispenses quantities of suspended cells having a homogeneous cell distribution. The vessel may be a closed system with no option or instructions for removing a cap or other access port, whereby after manufacturing the vessel is shipped to a customer and the interior remains closed to the exterior environment and fluids are transferred through tubes.

A bag assembly for use with a heat exchanger includes a flexible bag having of one or more sheets of polymeric material, the bag having a first end that bounds a first compartment and an opposing second end that bounds a second compartment, a support structure being disposed between the first compartment and the second compartment so that the first compartment is separated and isolated from the second compartment. A first inlet port, a first outlet port, and a first drain port are coupled with the flexible bag so as to communicate with the first compartment.
