RECONFIGURABLE ABSORPTION MAT
Reconfigurable rapid drying absorption mats. Such reconfigurable absorption mats include multiple connectable, disconnectable, and reconfigurable diatomaceous earth absorption substrates that are both sustainable and designed to instantly remove water from the surface thereof. Unlike traditional synthetic and cotton textile mats that absorb moisture and generate bacteria, according to the rapid drying absorption mats disclosed herein the component diatomaceous earth substrates do not produce mold. Such diatomaceous earth absorption mat components can each include connectable and disconnectable rubberized bottom polymer pads or webbing to prevent slipping and enable for drying of each individual diatomaceous earth substrate from multiple surfaces and sides thereof.

Oxygen scavenger composition
The present invention provides an oxygen scavenger composition comprising a granule having: an α layer containing a water retention agent, a swelling agent, a metal salt and water; a β layer containing iron; and a γ layer containing a porous support, wherein the granule forms a layer structure in order of the α layer, the β layer and the γ layer from an inside to an outside of the granule.

PROCESS FOR MAKING DIRECT-RUN DIATOMITE FUNCTIONAL FILLER PRODUCTS
A method for manufacturing a diatomaceous earth functional filler product with detectable or non-detectable crystalline silica includes the steps of: selecting a diatomaceous earth ore; simultaneously milling and flash-drying the diatomaceous earth ore; beneficiating the milled and flash-dried diamtomaceous earth ore; blending the beneficiated diatomaceous earth ore with a fluxing agent; calcining the blended diatomaceous earth ore and fluxing agent to produce an initial diatomaceous earth powder; air-classifying the initial diatomaceous earth powder to produce a first fraction including the diatomaceous earth functional filler product and a second fraction including coarse particles; further milling the coarse particles to produce additional diatomaceous earth powder; and re-circulating the additional diatomaceous earth powder to blend the additional diatomaceous earth powder with the initial diatomaceous earth powder.
SINTERED BODY FOR ADSORPTION, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND ADSORPTION DEVICE
To adsorb a substance to be treated in a fluid (7) with a higher adsorption capacity and lower pressure loss, an adsorptive sintered compact (20) includes powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b), and resin structures (2) in which voids (3) are formed in a three-dimensional network. The powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b) include free adsorbent materials (1a) free-movably contained in the voids (3) between the resin structures (2), and fixed adsorbent materials (1b) fixed to a surface (2a) of the resin structure (2) and/or at least partly embedded inside the resin structure (2), and the powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b) are at least one of powdered activated carbon, powdered activated clay, and zeolite.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTRACTING ANALYTES FROM A SAMPLE
Systems and methods for extracting an analyte from a sample. The system includes a reaction vessel for receiving the sample and a reaction solution, a mixer for mixing the sample with the reaction solution, a filter and a drain for passing soluble components from the reaction mixture, including the dissolved analyte, from the reaction vessel. A purification vessel is located below the reaction vessel. A selective sorbent is disposed in the purification vessel for retaining contaminants from the soluble components from the reaction mixture and passing a purified analyte. An evaporation container is located below the purification vessel. A heater heats the evaporation chamber and evaporates the solvents from the purified analyte, which can then be quantitatively measured.
Combinations of Containers and Purifying Materials Used in the Purification of Liquids
A combination for purifying a liquid, such as used cooking oil, unrefined edible oil, biodiesel fuel, rendered fat, or dielectric fluids comprising a container comprising a holding portion having at least one wall portion and at least one portion that is designed to fail structurally upon heating of the liquid, such as at least one cap portion, which is connected detachably to the holding portion. The combination also comprises at least one purifying material, such as an adsorbent powder, contained in the holding portion of the container. Upon contact of the container with the liquid and heating of the liquid, at least one of the at least one portion(s) that is designed to fail structurally provides at least one opening in the container, whereby the liquid is contacted by the at least one purifying material, and the liquid is purified.
