SEPARATION OF FERROUS MATERIALS
A sorting apparatus is provided for sorting selected magnetically attractable articles from a stream of articles including non-selected magnetically attractable articles. The apparatus may include a conveyor for conveying the stream of articles. The conveyor may include a conveyor belt formed in an endless loop including a discharge end configured to launch the stream of articles off the conveyor. A conveyor guide may be located inside of the endless loop adjacent the discharge end. The conveyor guide may be configured to support the conveyor belt such that the conveyor belt slides on the conveyor guide along a downwardly curved path. An array of magnets may be arranged inside of the endless loop for interacting with the stream of articles as the stream of articles passes off the discharge end.
SYSTEM FOR SORTING METALLIC OBJECTS
A system for sorting metallic objects by magnetic separation has an electromagnetic core. The electronic core includes at least a first portion, a second portion, and a bottom. A sorting flap is arranged facing the electromagnetic core to fashion a circulation space for a conveyor of objects to be sorted from the first portion toward the second portion. The sorting flap includes a magnetic element arranged to form an air gap (E1) between the first portion and the sorting flap. The air gap forms a magnetic barrier opposing the passage of non-magnetic metallic objects, such that the objects are ejected from the conveyor. The second portion is arranged to ensure a return of the magnetic flux lines toward the first portion.

Machine for magnetic separation
A machine is described for magnetic separation of material, wherein the machine includes a supporting structure and at least one magnetic rotating drum supported by the supporting structure, wherein the machine further includes a vehicle for moving and transporting the supporting structure. The magnetic drum includes an outer rotating shell and a magnetic portion including at least one magnet positioned and housed within the outer shell, wherein the outer shell is rotatable around a central axis by a drive mechanism and the at least one magnet is positioned in a fixed location within the outer shell.
Crusher
The invention relates to a crusher (10), in particular a rock crusher, having a crusher unit (40), to which a band conveyor unit (60) having an endlessly circulating band conveyor is indirectly or directly assigned, wherein a magnetic separator (70) having a magnet (79) is held in the area of the band conveyor unit (60) above the band conveyor in the direction opposite from the direction of gravity,
and wherein an adjustment unit (80) is provided, which can be used to change the height of the magnet (79) above the band conveyor. To enable the reliable operation of such a crusher, it is provided according to the invention that the magnetic separator (70) is suspended from at least two limp ties (81, 82, 84, 85), and that the limp ties (81, 82, 84, 85) can be adjusted by means of at least one actuator unit (90) to change the height of the magnet (79).

Systems and methods for sorting material on a conveyor
Disclosed are systems and methods for sorting material on a conveyor of a conveyor system, such as a conveyor system for material including non-ferrous metals. The conveyor system includes a conveyor belt and a separator system. The conveyor belt is adapted to convey the material. The separator system includes a separator below the conveyor belt and is configured to selectively apply a separating force onto the material on the conveyor belt such that at least one piece of the material is lifted off of the conveyor belt. A method of sorting material on a conveyor belt includes receiving the material on the conveyor belt, conveying the material with the conveyor belt, and applying the separating force onto the material with the separator such that at least one piece of the material is lifted off of the conveyor belt.

MAGNETIZATION AND MANIPULATION OF HYDROPHOBIC ABSORBENTS
The present invention includes a method of controlling an oil spill through introduction of a plurality of magnetizable particles into the oil spill in an amount sufficient to form a colloidal mixture. An absorbent is also introduced into the oil spill to form an absorbent mixture. A magnetic field can be applied to the system to move, manipulate, or otherwise control the absorbent mixture in response to movement of the magnetic field.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING OF UNWANTED MATERIAL
A collection kit for the removal of unwanted material from a surface, said kit comprising: iv) ferromagnetic material to absorb and/or adsorb the unwanted material when spread across the unwanted material creating an area of operation; v) an apparatus having a magnetic source operable to attract the ferromagnetic material together with absorbed and/or adsorbed unwanted material when the magnetic source is touching or in the vicinity of the area of operation; and vi) means to dislodge the ferromagnetic material and absorbed and/or adsorbed unwanted material from the apparatus once the ferromagnetic material has been removed from the area of operation.
