ROLL LINE UNIT
A roll line unit for a continuous casting apparatus includes a roll mantle or roll body surface rotatable relative to a support housing by means of bearing(s). The support housing has a seal(s) located axially outward relative to the at least one bearing and/or seal(s) located axially inward relative to the at least one bearing, and a lubrication system having lubricant reservoir(s) containing lubricant. The support housing has one or more cavities containing lubricant located adjacent to the seal disposed axially outward of the bearing(s) and/or the seal located axially inward of the bearing(s). The lubricant reservoir(s) is/are in fluid communication with the at least one cavity. An actuator within the lubricant reservoir(s) is arranged to move when the volume of lubricant increases in the cavity and/or the reservoir, and/or to push lubricant from the lubricant reservoir into the cavity when the amount of lubricant in the cavity decreases.
CONTINUOUS CASTING APPARATUS AND CORRESPONDING METHOD
Continuous casting apparatus comprising a plurality of compression units (11), each of which is defined by a lower roll (12) and an upper roll (13) configured to exert a compression action on a cast metal product (P). Each lower roll (12) defines with the respective upper roll (13) a passage gap (14) for the metal product (P). The passage gaps (14) of the compression units (11) are disposed aligned along a casting axis (Z) with an at least partly curved development. A straightening roll (15) is disposed on the extrados side of said casting axis (Z) and between at least two of the lower rolls (12).
ROLL MANTLE, ROLL BODY AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
A roll mantle or roll body configured to be mounted on a shaft of a roll line of a continuous casting apparatus, the roll mantle or roll body being formed by casting and having at least one internal channel. The roll mantle or roll body has a first end region, a second end region and a central region in between the first end region, and the second end region extends along at least 50% of the length of the roll mantle or roll body. The at least one internal channel may be located in the central region and may include a feature such as a pattern or projection.
CONTINUOUS STEEL CASTING METHOD
In the continuous steel casting method of the present invention, a gap between strand support rolls with a strand in a rectangular shape interposed therebetween is increased toward a downstream side in a casting direction to thereby bulge the strand having an unsolidified layer thereinside such that the thickness between long-side surfaces of the strand increases within the range of 0.1% or more and 10% or less of the thickness of the strand inside a mold. A portion of the strand in which the solid phase fraction in a central portion of the strand is within the range of 0.2 or more and less than 0.9 satisfies a prescribed total rolling reduction and a prescribed reduction gradient, and a portion of the strand in which the solid phase fraction is within the range of 0.9 or more satisfies a prescribed total rolling reduction and a prescribed reduction gradient.
CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD FOR STEEL AND REDUCTION ROLL FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING
A continuous casting method of the present invention is a continuous casting method for steel in which a slab at a position where the center solid phase rate of the slab is 0.8 or more and including after complete solidification is reduced by a reduction roll. The roll outer peripheral shape in a cross-section including a roll rotation axis convex shape overhanging outward in a region including a width-direction center position of the slab. The convex shape is a shape that does not have corner portions in a convex shape defining range with a total length of 0.80W on both sides in the roll width direction from the width-direction center position. A reduction roll radius at the width-direction center position is greater by 0.005t or more than a reduction roll radius at both ends of the convex shape defining range.
Bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller
A bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller, in particular a strand-guiding roller in a strandguiding device. The bearing block is designed as a solid casting having an integrated internal coolant channel. The coolant channel has an inlet and an outlet for coolant. In order to enable an improvement in the product quality of the cast slabs, the bearing block has a rotational speed sensor for sensing the rotational speed of the roller.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ACHIEVING CORE PART PRESS-DOWN TECHNOLOGY IN CONTINUOUS CASTING ROUND BILLET SOLIDIFICATION PROCESS
The present invention discloses a device and method for achieving a core part press-down technology in a continuous casting round billet solidification process. The device includes a plurality of round billet radial press-down devices distributed along an axial array of round billets outside a press-down interval of the round billets. The press-down interval is an area from 0.65 of a solid phase ratio of the round billets to solidification end points. Each round billet radial press-down device comprises a plurality of press-down rollers. A forming hole for extruding the round billets is formed between the press-down rollers. Two adjacent round billet radial press-down devices are arranged in the manner of staggering. The device can effectively solve the defect problems of porosity, segregation and the like in the core of the continuous casting round billets, the yield of the continuous casting round billets is increased, and the production cost is reduced.
CONTINUOUS CASTING LINE HAVING INDIVIDUAL ROLLER ENGAGEMENT
A continuous casting line, which has a mold for the output of a strand and a strand guide connected to the mold having a plurality of rollers arranged in pairs for transporting the strand in a conveying direction. One or more of the rollers can be engaged so that a thickness reduction of the strand occurs in the strand guide.
Seal cassette for a continuous casting machine

The seal cassette configured to seal off a space from an outside environment and includes a first circumferential element and a second circumferential element arranged coaxially and rotatably movable relative each other. At least one third circumferential element is provided and is arranged coaxially relative the first and the second circumferential element and further arranged to be rotatably movable relative the second circumferential element. The first circumferential element is formed as a sleeve extending in an axial direction (A). The second circumferential element provides at least one circumferential seal portion arranged to seal between the second element and the first element.
