Modular clamping system
A clamping system includes a housing, a clamping lever pivotally coupled relative to the housing, a clamping arm pivotally coupled relative to the housing and the clamping lever, and an expandable link coupled to the clamping arm. The clamping lever and the clamping arm are rotatable from an open position to a closed position. A method of mounting a device on a substrate using the clamping system is also provided.
Clamping and positioning device and operation method thereof
A clamping and positioning device includes a base, a rotary member, a moving assembly and an elastic member. The rotary member is rotatably disposed on the base and includes a stopping surface facing the base. The moving assembly includes a moving member movably disposed on the base to have a first and a second position. When being at the first position, the moving member is pressed against the rotary member to allow the stopping surface to apply a normal force to the base; when being at the second position, a gap is formed between the moving member and the rotary member so the normal force applied by the stopping surface of the rotary member is released from the base. The elastic member has two ends connected to the base and the moving member, respectively. The elastic member normally causes the moving member to be at the first position.
CLAMPING DEVICE FOR MACHINES USED FOR TRANSVERSALLY CUTTING CONVOLUTELY WOUND LOGS OF WEB MATERIALS
A log saw clamp for temporarily restraining a convolutely wound log of web material for a log saw is disclosed. The log saw clamp comprises a support structure having a first and second cam disposed therein, a pair of opposed first and second paddles, and a first and second linkage.
Centering Clamping Apparatus
A centering clamping apparatus has a housing (1) with a centering element (2) mounted to be displaceable along a longitudinal axis between an open position and a clamping position. A finger element (3), mounted with centering element (2), is displaceable transversely to the longitudinal axis between a retracted position and an extended position. The finger element (3) is operatively connected to an adjusting member (4). The adjusting element (4) is mounted to be displaceable in the centering element (2). A blocking device (5) is provided on the centering element (2). The blocking device (5) either precludes a relative movement between the housing (1) and the centering element (2), with the finger element (3) fully retracted, or precludes a relative movement between the centering element (2) and the adjusting member (4), with the finger element (3) fully extended.
CLAMP DEVICE
The present invention relates to a clamp device. The clamp device is provided with a driving force transmission mechanism, which transmits driving force from a drive unit to clamp arms. The driving force transmission mechanism converts the rectilinear movement of a piston rod of the drive unit into: a first operation, in which the clamp arms rotate while moving in directions toward or away from each other; and a second operation, in which the clamp arms move in parallel in directions toward or away from each other with gripping surfaces in a mutually parallel state.
Gripper
A gripper has a body with a jaw support portion and powering portion. A powering assembly is positioned in the powering portion. A stationary jaw is secured to the jaw support portion. A movable jaw is pivotally secured to the jaw support portion about a pivot pin. A rod from the powering assembly connects in a slot on the movable jaw. The pivot pin is positioned on an opposite side of an axis of the rod on the clevis portion away from the stationary jaw. The non-clamping end of the movable jaw is incapable of extending below an end plane of the body of the stationary jaw side of the gripper.
Clamp apparatus
A clamp apparatus includes a pair of first and second clamp arms supported rotatably on a body. The clamp apparatus also includes a manual release mechanism capable of manually releasing a clamped state in the case that an output from a drive unit to the first and second clamp arms is stopped and the clamped state of a workpiece is locked. The manual release mechanism includes a release lever disposed rotatably on a first plate body. By an operator operating the release lever to thereby rotate the release lever, a block body of a driving force transmission mechanism is pressed and moved upwardly, and pressing forces applied to the first and second clamp arms in widthwise outside directions thereof by a pair of rollers, are released. Consequently, gripping members of the first and second clamp arms are rotated in directions away from each other to thereby cause an unclamped state.
PNEUMATIC CRANKSHAFT CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A pneumatic crankshaft clamp assembly for retaining a crankshaft during processing having a housing for supporting the crankshaft and a clamp arm pivotally coupled to the housing for movement between a clamp position and an unclamp position. The clamp arm engaging the crankshaft to retain the crankshaft in contact with the housing in the clamp position and be spaced apart from the crankshaft in the unclamp position. The proximal end of the clamp arm having a cam follower. The assembly further having a pneumatic piston disposed within a piston cylinder of the housing. The pneumatic piston is moveable in response to pneumatic pressure. The piston having a cam formed thereon engaging the cam follower of the lifting arm such that the lifting arm moves in response to pneumatic pressure.
Clamp apparatus
A clamp apparatus includes a pair of first and second clamp arms. A driving force transmission mechanism transmits a driving force of a drive unit, whereby the first clamp arm is operated to rotate via a link arm, while simultaneously, the second clamp arm is rotated, and after being rotated through a predetermined angle, under moving action of a roller, which is inserted into a cam groove of a link plate, rotation of the second clamp arm is stopped and maintained in advance with respect to the first clamp arm. Consequently, after positioning of a workpiece has been carried out by the second clamp arm, rotation of which is stopped, the first clamp arm continues to be rotated, whereby the workpiece is clamped.
Pin clamp with multi-thickness clamping feature
A pin clamp for clamping a workpiece includes a housing and a locating pin extending through the housing and having a longitudinal axis. The locating pin is sized to be positioned within an opening of the workpiece. A finger is positioned adjacent to the locating pin and movable in a transverse direction relative to the longitudinal axis to retain the workpiece on the locating pin. A linear actuator is configured to move the locating pin in opposite directions along the longitudinal axis. A locking arrangement is carried by the housing. A sequence cam is connected with the linear actuator in a manner allowing axial movement of the linear actuator to be converted into transverse movement of the sequence cam. The sequence cam includes an engagement surface which engages the locking arrangement to lock the locating pin and the finger against the workpiece upon retraction of the linear actuator.
