LIGHT-PROJECTING OF INSTALLATION-LOCATION PATTERNS ONTO INSTALLATION SURFACES
A light module projects multiple light beams onto an installation surface to form multiple light indicia spaced apart in a pattern on the installation surface, with the light indicia identifying installation locations on the installation surface where construction mounts are then installed. Embodiments include systems in which the light module includes a light emitter that projects a source light beam and a diffractor that diffuses the source light beam into the multiple light beams, systems in which the light module is adjustably mounted to and movable with a handheld tool used to install the construction mounts, systems in which the light module is adjustably mounted to a static-use support, and methods of using these systems to install the construction mounts.

Laser guides and methods of using the laser guides in conjunction with drilling equipment to accurately produce holes in workpieces. Such a laser guide includes a body, a laser source configured to generate a laser beam, a first end of the body configured to be releasably coupled to the spindle of the drilling machine, and a second end of the body configured to emit the laser beam such that the laser beam is axially aligned with an axis of rotation of the spindle of the drilling machine when the first end is coupled to the spindle.
Positioning device for a drilling apparatus
A positioning device for positioning a drilling tool of a drilling apparatus relative to a workpiece includes a cage mounted to the drilling apparatus such that the cage at least partially surrounds the drilling tool. The cage includes an end portion that includes an alignment surface that is configured to be engaged in physical contact with a workpiece surface of the workpiece. The alignment surface of the cage is oriented relative to a centerline axis of the drilling tool such that the centerline axis extends approximately normal to the workpiece surface when the alignment surface of the cage is in contact with the workpiece surface. The positioning device also includes a laser projector mounted to the cage such that the laser projector is configured to project an illuminated dot onto the workpiece surface that indicates where the centerline axis of the drilling tool intersects the workpiece surface.
Induction-powered device having a load nested within a core of a multi-part bobbin, and power tool attachment and power tool comprising same
An induction-powered device for use in an alternating magnetic field comprises: a magnetically permeable core; an electrically conductive coil surrounding the core; and an electrical load electrically connected to the coil. The coil is configured to generate a voltage when exposed to the alternating magnetic field, to power the electrical load.
POSITIONING DEVICE FOR A DRILLING APPARATUS

WORK SUPPORT DEVICE AND WORK SUPPORT METHOD
According to an embodiment, a work support device includes a measurement unit and an irradiation control unit. The measurement unit measures an in-passage structure of a passage inside of which a user can work. The irradiation control unit controls an irradiation unit to emit light indicative of a work region to a corrected work position obtained by correcting work position information set based on a predetermined designed in-passage structure indicative of an ideal structure in the passage by using a result of the measurement by the measurement unit.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GUIDED TOOLS WITH MULTIPLE POSITIONING SYSTEMS
The present disclosure is directed to performing work on a working surface based on a desired path using a working member. The disclosed system advances the working member with respect to the desired path using a first positioning system and a second positioning system. The first positioning system comprises a frame and actuators operable to advance the working member with respect to a portion of the desired path within an adjustment region. The second positioning system comprises actuators operable to move the frame. By moving the frame using the second positioning system, the first positioning system advances the working member with respect to a portion of the desired path that was outside the adjustment region before the frame was moved.
Devices for Attachment to Rotary Tools
A system and devices disclosed include a tool holder apparatus device that has one or more magnets that are configured to magnetically attach to a surface of the rotating portion of a rotary tool so that when the rotating portion of the rotary tool rotates, the apparatus also rotates. The tool holder apparatus may incorporate a variety of tools such as a laser alignment system, a work surface illumination system, and sanding, grinding and polishing surfaces.
Drill Accessory
A drill accessory that is configured to be releasably secured to a handheld drill wherein the drill accessory is operable to project a straight line light beam in four directions outward therefrom and along an adjacent surface. The drill accessory includes a chuck engagement member that is configured to be inserted into a chuck of a handheld drill. A body is contiguous with the drill engagement member and is cylindrical in shape having a first end and a second end. A light assembly is included and has four lights distributed equidistantly along the outer perimeter of the light assembly. A bearing assembly is intermediate the body and the light assembly and includes a plurality of ball bearings. The bearing assembly is operable to inhibit the rotational movement of the body being transferred to the light assembly so as to maintain the light assembly in a stationary position.
