According to at least one embodiment, a razor includes a handle grippable by a user, a blade housing coupled to an end of the handle, the blade housing accommodating therein one or more blades, a power generation unit mounted in the handle for generating power, a drive transmission unit configured to be driven using the power generated by the power generation unit, and a swing member disposed in front of a foremost blade among the one or more blades, to swing closer to or farther away from the one or more blades according to driving of the drive transmission unit. The razor may be realized in various ways according to embodiments disclosed.

A cutting member mounting portion provided in between the leading longitudinal side and the trailing longitudinal side. Three or more substantially parallel cutting members are disposed in the cutting member mounting portion in a shaving direction of the razor cartridge. At least one of the three or more cutting members comprises a blade support. The blade support comprises a blade mounting portion disposed on an inner surface of the respective blade support that, in use, faces away from a shaving plane. A blade attached to the blade mounting portion. The cutting members are disposed to define a plurality of inter-blade spans between cutting edges of the blades. The trailing longitudinal side of the housing does not comprise a skin care element.

A cutting member (1) for a shaving cartridge includes a front side, a back side opposing the front side, and a flat cutting portion (2) with a cutting edge portion (4). Further the cutting member includes a first bent portion (8), an intermediate portion (11), a second bent portion (9) and a base portion (10) that are made out of one single piece of material. The first bent portion is integral with the flat cutting portion. The first bent portion is convex on the back side of the cutting member, and the second bent portion is concave on the back side of the cutting member. The proposed shape of the cutting member resembles an S shape or a question mark shape.

Unitary razor cartridge and method for assembling the same

A razor cartridge and a method for assembling a razor cartridge are disclosed. A razor cartridge includes: a blade housing including a seat configured to receive at least one blade; a pair of side caps respectively disposed at opposite ends of the blade housing, wherein each side cap is configured to be engaged with a corresponding end of the blade housing; and a plurality of bridges, wherein one or more bridges are disposed at each end of the blade housing and configured to provide a moveable connection between the side cap and the corresponding end of the blade housing, wherein the blade housing, the pair of side caps, and the one or more bridges are integrally formed, and wherein each side cap is configured to secure the at least one blade to the blade housing when the side cap is engaged with the corresponding end of the blade housing.

SHAVING RAZOR CARTRIDGE

A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a front portion with a front face and an upper skin contacting surface. At least one blade is mounted to the housing. The blade has a cutting edge extending toward the front portion. The upper skin contacting surface defines a bifurcated channel having an opening at a first end toward the front face and a pair of openings at an opposing end to facilitate the flow of fluid.

SAFETY RAZOR SHAVING SYSTEM

A safety razor shaving system comprises: a handle having a handle connecting structure; and a replaceable razor cartridge having a cartridge connecting structure; wherein the handle connecting structure and the cartridge connecting structure are configured to be brought together along a connection axis into a securely connected position; and wherein the handle connecting structure or the cartridge connecting structure has an L-shaped release member including a leg that extends along the connection axis and a foot that extends away from the connection axis, the L-shaped release member configured to release the handle connecting structure and the cartridge connecting structure from the securely connected position in response to a user-applied force to the foot.

A safety razor shaving system, comprising: a handle; a replaceable razor cartridge; and a base plate comprising an elongate frame surrounding at least one hole, wherein the elongate frame is connected to the handle and provided with engaging elements on either short side portion, the engaging elements of the elongate frame configured to releasably engage complementary engaging elements of the replaceable razor cartridge.
