The invention relates to a foodstuff comminution system having a foodstuff comminution device which is configured as a hand-held apparatus, having a main part which has a receptacle for a cutter part, and having an activation part which is connected in an articulated manner to the main part and which for squeezing foodstuff material to be comminuted through a cutter part inserted in the receptacle is pivotable from a placing position towards the cutter part to a closing position and subsequently from the closing position back to the placing position. The foodstuff comminution system is distinguished by an additional comminution tool which is capable of being secured in a non-destructive releasable manner in an operating position on the foodstuff comminution device and which has a fastening portion as well as a tool portion, wherein the tool portion in the operating position is disposed outside the receptacle and outside the pivoting range of the activation part.

The invention relates to a foodstuff comminution system having a foodstuff comminution device having a main part which has a receptacle for a cutter part, and having an activation part which is connected in an articulated manner to the main part and which for squeezing foodstuff material to be comminuted through a cutter part inserted in the receptacle is pivotable from a placing position towards the cutter part to a closing position and subsequently from the closing position back to the placing position, wherein the foodstuff comminution device has a coupling device for coupling to a container. A cutting portion of a food cutter includes a plurality of blade portions that are provided with blades, and a terminal guide portion located on the most downstream side in the cutting operation direction and functions as a guide by coming in contact with the food material when cutting the food material; wherein the plurality of cutting portions and the terminal guide portion are provided so as to be substantially parallel with each other with gaps in between, and move together as one.

A pusher for use with a mandoline slicer includes a cap having an upper and a lower end, the cap defining an interior space. A lower plate is attached to a pillar, which is attached to a telescoping post. The pillar and telescoping post are telescopically moveable with respect to one another along the central axis and trained for movement by a guide within the cap. Stops are provided along the guide to restrict the length of travel of the telescoping post and pillar. A spring is connected to the cap and the lower plate to urge the lower plate away from the cap in a direction from the upper end toward the lower end.

A cutlery apparatus that is configured to provide efficient removal of corn kernels from a corn cob. The cutlery apparatus includes a support member that is planar in manner having an upper surface and a perimeter edge. A first brace member and a second brace member are mounted to the upper surface of the support member and further include a void therebetween. The first brace member and second brace member are parallel to each other and angularly oriented on the support member. A cutting member is provided wherein the cutting member has a first portion disposed within the void and a second portion extending beyond the perimeter edge of the support member. The second portion of the cutting member is a metal blade. A clamp member extends across the void and is movably secured to the first brace member and second brace member.

A spiral slicer for producing spiral-cut fruits and vegetables, includes a main body supporting a shaft operated by a crank handle. Rotation of the crank handle selectively moves a pusher, which attaches to a fruit or vegetable toward a set of julienne blades and a main slicing blade. The fruit or vegetable is cut by the julienne blades and then by the main blade, with the sliced portion passing through a gap positioned between the julienne blades and the main blade.

A mandoline slicer includes a slicing ramp with a rearward and forward portion defining an opening. A main slicing blade is mounted to the forward slicing portion. A spiral slicing insert is configured to fit within the opening, and includes a circular support, a spindle, and a spiral slicing blade positioned inside the circular support. In some versions, the insert is invertible, having a second spiral slicing feature on a lower side.

The invention relates to a foodstuff-cutting device called a mandoline of the type comprising a moving blade support defining a cutting plane and moving in a reciprocating translational movement in relation to the foodstuff in accordance with an inverted configuration and having a sleeve associated with a plunger allowing foodstuffs to be inserted and kept in the pathway of the moving blade support remarkable in that it comprises a receptacle with a lid preformed with a passageway which, arranged transversely in relation to the travel of the moving blade support, receives a sleeve associated with the plunger thereby allowing food stuffs to be inserted and kept in the pathway of the moving blade support.
