The injection-molding machine or the external work cell controller transmits one or several control signals or internal operating states with increased load requirement, to the production resource so that the production resource performs a load shift, load reduction or load shedding at the times of the increased load requirement of the injection-molding machine.
Control device for injection molding machine and screen display method
Provided is a control device for an injection molding machine, capable of reducing the load on a user when re-displaying a previously displayed screen. The control device (20) for the injection molding machine (1) controls the display of display images on a display unit (29). This control device (20) divides the display unit (29) into a first display area (31) and a second display area (32) and, if an instruction to scroll in the vertical direction is received when a first display image (P1) is displayed in the first display area (31) and a second display image (P2) is displayed in the second display area (32), synchronously scrolls the first display image (P1) and the second display image (P2) whilst maintaining the relative positions of the first display image (P1) and the second display image (P2).
PREDICTIVE SIMULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INJECTION MOLDING
An exemplary method for simulating an injection molding process may include first generating a mesh model of a structure, and generating a mesh model of an injection unit molding machine, including at least a screw tip of the injection unit. The method may then include providing the ability to specify a material to be injected into the structure, configuring parameters in different zones of at least the injection unit, combining the mesh models of the structure and the injection unit, and providing the ability to apply at least one of a velocity and a pressure profile of the screw tip. The method may then include running a simulated operation of the combined mesh models of the injection unit and the structure.
Injection moulding machine
An injection moulding machine having a machine controller and a control unit, capable of starting up the injection moulding machine from a switched-off mode or a standby mode into a production operation for producing injection-moulded parts and to shut down back into a switched-off or standby mode. Start-up and shutdown of the injection moulding machine are each divided into a number of phases, and a sequence of specific machine movement commands and/or specific machine mode change commands is pre-programmed for each phase of start-up and for each phase of shutdown. One or more control elements are provided on the control unit which, when actuated, activate a pre-programmed sequence so that a phase of start-up or shutdown can be started, the functions of start-up or shutdown of the injection moulding machine associated with the machine movement command and/or the machine mode change command of this sequence then being triggered.
MULTI-LAYER INJECTION MOLDED CONTAINER
A coinjection molded multi-layer container includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.
DISPLAY UNIT OF INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND DISPLAY UNIT DISPLAY METHOD
A display unit of an injection molding machine that displays an order of operations of elements operating during clamp close or open of the injection molding machine, the display unit including a condition setting unit that sets a start condition of the operation; a group setting unit that sets the elements operating in conjunction with each other to be associated with the same group, based on the set start conditions; an order setting unit that sets the order of the operations of the elements associated with the same group, based on the set start conditions; and a display control unit that controls a display unit to display a field showing the group, and to display symbols indicating the operations of the elements associated with the groups in the fields, to show a before and after relationship in accordance with the set order of the operations.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
A control device of an injection molding machine, for controlling operations of multiple elements operating during the period of mold closing or mold opening, includes: an operation starting condition setting unit for, concerning at least part of the elements, setting an operation starting condition of one of the elements that operates in conjunction with another one thereof by an operator operating an operation unit; a group setting unit for classifying the elements based on the operation starting conditions so that elements operating in conjunction with each other belong to the same group; an operation sequence setting unit for setting order of the operations of the elements belonging to the same group based on the operation starting conditions; and a drive command generator for generating drive commands for driving the injection molding machine so as to cause the elements belonging to the same group to operate in the set order.
Apparatus and Method for Controlling Injection Molding
An apparatus and method for establishing triggers for the opening of one or multiple gates to a mold cavity of an injection molding system, followed by a sequence of predetermined valve pin movements over the course on an injection cycle. In one embodiment, the invention provides a graphical user interface and control system enabling a user to select from and arrange a plurality of virtual icons into a user-defined virtual sequence that define associated triggering events and actuator controlled pin movements over the course of an injection cycle. In various embodiments, the apparatus and method allows the system operator to view a simulated profile of such triggers and movements and to compare the simulated profile to an actual profile to access differences and make adjustments to the triggers and sequencing more quickly and efficiently. This is particularly useful in sequential molding systems where multiple gates need to be programmed and adjusted to compensate for variations from a predetermined sequence.
