Absorbent laminated material
Absorbent laminated materials that include two spunbond nonwoven layers with a cellulose layer arranged in between the spunbond nonwoven layers are disclosed. The different layers of the absorbent laminated material are bonded through an ultrasonic treatment, and can further undergo an embossing step. In addition, the absorbent laminated materials may be used as disposable wiping products, among other applications.
Joining carbon laminates using pulsed laser irradiation
A method for bonding two elements, the method including receiving first and second elements, the first element being a composite material; applying a laser-based treatment to a surface of the first element to obtain a treated surface; patterning the treated surface to have plural trenches; applying an adhesive to one of the first and second elements; and joining the first element to the second element so that the adhesive is between the first and second elements.
Composite film used for cable wrapping layer and preparation method for the same
This application provides a composite film for a cable wrapping layer and a preparation method for the same. The composite film for the cable wrapping layer includes a PE film layer, a PET film layer laminated at the PE film layer, an aluminum foil layer laminated at the PET film layer, and a bonding layer arranged between the PET film layer and the aluminum foil layer. The PE film layer is made of raw materials having the following parts by weight: 40-45 parts of LLDPE with a melt index of 0.9-1.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.920-0.922 g/cm.sup.3, 35-40 parts of m-LLDPE with a melt index of 1.9-2.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.917-0.920 g/cm.sup.3 and 15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
Trim cap structure assembly apparatus and methods of use and installation
An apparatus for assembling a securing tape on a trim strip to provide a trim cap structure having a base with an assembly path, a spool assembly to dispense tape from a coil, a guide assembly to guide the strip, and an applicator assembly to guide the securing tape to the portion of the trim strip on the assembly path. A method for assembling a sign component for a sign is also disclosed.

Method of making thermoplastic composite structures and prepreg tape used therein
A thermoplastic composite structure is produced by consolidating and forming a composite preform to a desired shape. The preform comprises plies of a high melt temperature thermoplastic prepreg that are tacked together by a low melt temperature thermoplastic adhering the plies together in fixed registration.
Artificial organ model for training for surgical technique, method for manufacturing artificial organ model, and method for training for surgical technique using artificial organ model
[Problem to be Solved by the Invention] To provide an artificial tissue model that can be more advantageously used in surgical technique training compared to previous artificial tissues, as well as a method of fabricating the same. [Solution] An artificial organ model for surgical technique training comprising two or more fibrous layers 2, 3 layered and bonded to each other so as to be peelable by a surgical technique performed by a surgical technique trainee; the layered and bonded two or more fibrous layers 2, 3 as a whole being saturated with an electroconductive liquid or gel; and two adjacent fibrous layers out of the two or more fibrous layers being formed from different materials or substances or in different colors so as to be recognizable as different membranes by the surgical technique trainee.
Tissue substitute multilayer matrix and uses thereof
Compositions-of-matter comprising a matrix made of one or more, preferably two or more elastic layers and one or more viscoelastic layer are disclosed. The compositions-of-matter are characterized by high water-impermeability and optionally by self-recovery. Processes of preparing the compositions-of-matter and uses thereof as tissue substitutes or for repairing damaged tissues are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTI-LAYERED THERMOPLASTIC PLATES BY MEANS OF THERMAL WELDING OF DIFFERENT PLATES
The invention relates to a process for the production of at least two-layer thermoplastic sheets via thermal welding of at least one thinner thermoplastic sheet with density (D1) and of at least one second thinner thermoplastic sheet with density (D2), where the density (D1) of the first thinner thermoplastic sheet is smaller than the density (D2) of the second thinner thermoplastic sheet. The process introduces at least one first heating element and at least one second heating element along mutually offset planes between the two thinner thermoplastic sheets, where the surfaces of the thinner thermoplastic sheets do not touch the surfaces of the heating elements. The first heating element transfers a quantity of energy (E1) to the surface of the first thinner thermoplastic sheet, and the second heating element transfers a quantity of energy (E2) to the surface of the second thinner thermoplastic sheet, where the quantity of energy (E1) is smaller than the quantity of energy (E2).
MULTILAYER SEALED SKIN FOR A PRESSURIZED FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE AND FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE USING SUCH A SKIN
A multilayer sealed skin, in particular for an inflatable structure and that includes a first polymer film, a reinforcing fabric disposed on the first polymer film and a second polymer film disposed on the reinforcing fabric and adhered by means of an adhesive to the first polymer film through cavities in the reinforcing fabric. The skin can be applied to the production of an inflatable structural element such as an inflatable beam for which the skin forms an outer wall of the structural element and for which the first film of the skin forms an inner face of the outer wall of the structural element, and the second film forms an outer face of the wall.
