Provided are a method for producing a tire vulcanization mold and a maintenance method. A positioning member protrudes at a position corresponding to a position on a master mold surface. A positioning hole is formed by a tip end of the positioning member in a rubber mold to which the surface of the master mold is transferred. The tip end is embedded in the positioning hole so that a rear end protrudes from the surface of the rubber mold. The rear end is embedded in a plaster mold to which the surface of the rubber mold is transferred. A case is detachably fixed to the tip end protruding from the surface of the plaster mold. The case is cast into a mold to which the surface of the plaster mold is transferred and fixed. A valve body is inserted into the case from which the positioning member is removed.

TIRE MOLD FOR VENTLESS TIRE MOLDING

A tire mold having moveable elements displaceable to bring the tire mold into an open or into a closed position. The mold comprises upper and lower side members; a plurality of mold segments defining a mold cavity; a vacuum device for removing gas from the mold cavity; and sealing means with closing seal members configured to cooperate with associated cooperating surfaces for sealing the mold cavity by contact with each other. The one or more closing seal members and the associated cooperating surfaces are moveable relative to each other upon displacement of the one or more moveable elements. Said one or more closing seal members are placed in a position in which they are facing their associated cooperating surfaces without contacting them both in a partial closure position of the tire mold and in the closed position of the tire mold when the vacuum device is not activated.

TIRE MOLDING PROCESS

A process for molding a tire within a tire mold having movable elements displaceable to bring the tire mold into an open position or a closed position. The tire mold comprises upper and lower side members; mold segments defining a mold cavity; and sealing means for sealing the mold cavity. The process comprises steps of providing a tire mold having one or more closing seal members; placing the green tire into the mold cavity; placing one or more closing seal members next to a cooperating surface so as to face it without contacting it, by bringing the tire mold into a partial closure position; and drawing a vacuum on the mold cavity causing the one or more closing seal members to be moved or deformed by suction until they are in contact with the cooperating surface so that the mold cavity is sealed in an airtight manner.

LASER SINTERING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TREAD MOLDING ELEMENT

The disclosure relates to a selective laser sintering method of manufacturing a tread molding element, said tread molding element including at least a fine lamella adapted to mold a shallow ripe in a tire tread, the fine lamella having a length (L2). The fine lamella is sintered in a plurality of portions (p2) at different layers (N), in each layer (N) the laser beam sinters the portion (p2) of the fine lamella in only one passage in the length (L2) of the fine lamella without round-trip passage of the laser beam, the direction (D1) of this passage being the same at the different layers (N) for building the different portions (p2) of the fine lamella. The thickness (w) of the fine lamella is smaller than 0.2 mm, and the height (h) of the fine lamella is smaller than or equal to 2 mm.

The interior and exterior regions of the tire mold are in fluid connection with each other via at least one conduit extending from the exterior region to the non-smooth portion of the surface defining the interior region. The system further includes a vent insert at least partially disposed inside the at least one conduit. The vent insert has a non-smooth face that corresponds to the pattern defined by the non-smooth surface of the surface of the interior region.
