In order to prevent unwanted swash-over of fuel from the first chamber into the second chamber, provision is made according to the invention for there to be arranged, between the two chambers, a separating body which has a separating wall, which extends over the entire width of the central portion between an upper and a lower wall portion, and a pipe which extends from an opening in the separating wall into the first chamber and allows fluid communication between the first and the second chamber.

Methods and systems are provided for enabling a vehicle for which a jet pump that functions to transfer fuel from a passive side to an active side of a saddle fuel tank is degraded, to reach a desired destination by the taking of mitigating action. The mitigating action includes conducting a driving maneuver in response to an indication that the jet pump is degraded, the driving maneuver conducted in order to transfer a desired amount of fuel from the passive side to the active side. In this way, a vehicle may reach a desired destination even under circumstances where the vehicle may otherwise be unable to reach the desired destination.

Methods and systems for compressed natural gas (CNG)

Provided is a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system that can include a frame and at least one container. The frame can include a first side and a second side, with each side being configured to partly define a portion of an interior space. The at least one container can be configured to house or contain CNG and can be engaged to and partly encased by the frame. The at least one container can be partly located within the interior space of at least one of the first side or the second side. The frame assembly can be engaged to a chassis of a vehicle such that the at least one container is located either at least partially underneath a cab of the vehicle or at least partially behind a cab of the vehicle.

Methods and systems are provided for increase a rate at which a saddle fuel tank is depressurized responsive to a request for refueling. In one example, a method may include, responsive to the request for refueling, depressurizing a primary side of the saddle fuel tank to a secondary side of the saddle fuel tank, and commanding open a refueling lock coupled to the primary side to allow fuel to be delivered to the primary side when pressure in the primary side drops below a threshold pressure. In this way, the secondary fuel tank may be maintained at atmospheric pressure prior to the request for refueling, which may increase the rate of depressurization of the saddle fuel tank responsive to the request.

This invention is a sensor probe, generally used in the oil fracking business, and includes structurally a pair of tube members, concentrically assembled, an inner housing tube, and an outer spout tube, affixed to a cap and adaptor, with the inner housing holding one or more sensors, to detect the level of fuel within the fuel tank of the fracking truck. The adaptor has a first aperture for attachment of the fuel line, for delivery of fuel in the space between the tube members, and the adaptor has a second aperture for connection of an electrical receptacle, for attachment with the electric lines leading from the various sensors, to the adaptor, for connection with a circuit line from a remote monitor.

Fault-tolerant fuel isolation from engine firebay

Fuel isolation systems, apparatuses and methods are described. In some embodiments, a system comprises a fuel tank, a fuel pump, an engine, a firewall, a fuel line from the fuel tank to the engine, a connector coupled inline with the fuel line on a cold side of the fuel line, a valve coupled to the connector, a fluid feed line coupled to a fluid source and to the valve. In the event of an engine fire condition, a control unit outputs signaling to turn off the fuel pump and operate the valve to introduce fluid from the fluid source into the fuel line. The introduced fluid provides a siphon break in the fuel line such that the only fuel that can pass the firewall is the remaining fuel in the fuel line downstream of the connector and the introduced fluid.

This flow regulation device comprises a housing (200) having an inlet port (202) and an outlet port (204), and a fluid flow conduit (206) between them, a valve body (208) mounted in the housing (200), and a first (210) and a second (212) orifices allowing fluid flow in the conduit (206). The valve body (208) is movable between an open position, in which the first and second orifices (210, 212) are open, and a closed position, in which only one (210) of the first and second orifices (210, 212) is open. The flow regulation device (20) comprises a resilient element (214) urging the valve body (208) towards its open position, and the valve body (208) passes from its open to its closed position under action of fluid pressure (P) entering in the inlet port (202).
