Alternative fuel system
An apparatus and a method are provided for an alternative fuel system, comprising a plurality of fuel tank assemblies interconnected with fuel lines; the plurality of fuel tank assemblies comprising a CNG fuel tank and a fuel tank shield; wherein a first and second fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately in front of a rear wheel assembly, and a third fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately behind the rear wheel assembly.
LIQUID TANK FOR MOTOR VEHICLES, HAVING A RETENTION COMPONENT RETAINING LIQUID CLOSE TO A WITHDRAWAL OPENING
A liquid tank having a tank interior space delimited by a tank wall and fillable with liquid, a withdrawal opening; a retention component that delimits a component interior region in the tank interior space; the component volume of the interior region being less than the tank volume; a partition of the retention component permitting a flow of liquid, out of a component exterior region located outside the interior region but inside the tank volume, through the partition into the interior region and presenting a flow resistance to a flow out of the interior region through the partition into the exterior region, in such a way that the partition exhibits a liquid retention capability with respect to surging movements of liquid in the interior region; the withdrawal opening being arranged in such a way that at least as soon as a level falls below a threshold, the partition is arranged between the withdrawal opening and a liquid quantity received in an exterior region of the tank interior space; the retention component is flowthrough-capable at least in portions only unidirectionally from the exterior region into the interior region, but not in the opposite direction.
BLOW MOLDED SUPPORT FOR INLET CHECK VALVE
The invention relates to a filler pipe (1) weldable to a liquid tank (3) of a vehicle, wherein the filler pipe comprises a main body (4), a secondary body (5) configured to support an inlet check valve (2) and a weldable flange (6) suitable for welding around an opening in the liquid tank (3), the weldable flange (6) extending between the main body (4) and the secondary body (5).
TANK FLAP OR CHARGING FLAP ARRANGEMENT
A tank flap or charging flap arrangement, for a vehicle, includes a housing body and a tank flap or charging flap which is mounted on the housing body via a hinge arm so as to be pivotable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the hinge arm is received in a receiving space of the housing body and, in the open position, protrudes at least partially out of the receiving space. A cover is arranged on the housing body or the hinge arm and covers the receiving space when the tank or charging flap is in the open position.
Fuel supply portion structure of fuel supply pipe
To prevent fuel from leaking to outside even when the fuel flows back at the time of an automatic stop operation during refueling. A fuel supply portion structure of a fuel supply pipe, including a tubular portion having a filler port and a connection port, a first flap mechanism which is provided on the filler port side of the tubular portion, a drain hole, and a drain hole on-off valve, wherein the drain hole on-off valve is disposed on a placement surface located at the lowermost side of a vehicle on an inner wall of a first inner diameter member, the placement surface is made of an inclined surface falling from the filler port side toward the connection port with respect to a horizontal plane of the vehicle, and a wall portion rising toward the filler port is provided on the filler port side of the inclined surface.
Active drain liquid trap for fuel system
An active drain liquid trap configured for use with a fuel tank system and constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a trap body, a float and a pilot. The trap body defines a first inlet, a second inlet and an outlet. The first inlet is fluidly connected to a fuel pump. The second inlet is fluidly connected to a vapor line. The float is rotatably mounted about a float pivot. The pilot moves between an open and closed position. Rotation of the float causes the pilot to be urged into an open position and fluid to be drained from the trap body through the outlet.
Flap valve apparatus
A flap valve apparatus includes a main body; a valve body; and a spring member. The main body includes support shafts, and the valve body includes bearing portions. When viewed from the axial direction of the support shaft, the bearing portions has a bearing hole with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the support shaft; and an introduction groove being in communication with the bearing hole from the seal surface side of the valve body. A width of the introduction groove is smaller than the outer diameter of the support shaft, but is expandable to receive the support shaft. When viewed from the axial direction of the support shaft, an opening portion of the introduction grove is positioned near the axial center of the main body.
VENTILATION FLOW RATE REGULATOR FOR A PRESSURISED TANK OF A VEHICLE
A ventilation flow rate regulator for a pressurised tank of a vehicle. The regulator includes a body including a gas inlet and a gas outlet, and at least one restrictor mounted movably relative to the body. The restrictor is mounted to reduce a cross-section of at least one path of a gas flow proceeding from the inlet to the outlet, when a flow rate at the inlet is greater than a predetermined threshold. The regulator is arranged so that the cross-section remains non-zero irrespective of a flow rate.
Fuel tank check valve
A fuel tank check valve, which can prevent one portion of a coil portion of a torsion coil spring from being stuck on a stepped portion of a pivot includes a cylindrical member defining a flow channel for a fuel fluid; a flap axially supported on the cylindrical member through a pivot; and a torsion coil spring urging the flap in a closing direction. The pivot includes a large diameter portion around which a coil portion of the torsion coil spring is wound; and a first small diameter portion and a second small diameter portion coaxial with each other, and projecting into a shaft hole provided in either one of the cylindrical member or the flap. The first small diameter portion adjacent to the large diameter portion is off-centered to a side where the torsion coil spring presses against the pivot relative to the large diameter portion.
Separator nipple
A separation nipple to separate a liquid from a vent inlet line into a filler pipe of a motor vehicle. The separation nipple has an inlet for connection to the vent inlet line, an outlet for connection to a vent outlet line, an opening for connection to an interior of the filler pipe, and a flap to close the opening. The flap has a main flap surface and a reflector flap surface which slopes relative to the main flap surface. The reflector flap surface is configured to form a reflector with the main flap surface when the flap is in an open position, the reflector being configured to deflect liquid passing through the opening in a direction of an end of the tank of the filler pipe. The opening is configured for closing by the main flap surface when the flap is in a closed position.
