Fuel tank structure for saddle-ride type vehicle
09789760 · 2017-10-17 · ·

A fuel tank structure for a saddle-ride vehicle for discharging fuel leaking out from a filler neck between a cover member and a fuel tank. The fuel tank structure includes a filler neck having a collar portion projecting upwardly from an upper surface of a fuel tank with a tank cap to seal the filler neck. A tank cover includes a cover opening portion into which the collar portion is inserted for covering the circumference of the filler neck. The tank cap has an extending wall portion for surrounding the outside of the collar portion and extending to a position below the cover opening portion so that fuel leaking from the filler neck is discharged through a clearance between the fuel tank and the tank cover.

FUEL CELL VEHICLE

A fuel cell vehicle includes a first tank, a second tank, first and second valves for releasing gas, a gas passage for supplying gas to a fuel cell via the first and second valves, a pressure-reducing valve for decompressing the gas, side members disposed on the respective sides of the vehicle, and a motor disposed rearward of the second tank and configured to drive wheels. The first tank is not disposed downstream of the second tank, on the gas passage. The pressure-reducing valve is disposed in a region located rearward of a rear end of the second tank in a vehicle front-rear direction, forward of a rear end of the motor in the vehicle front-rear direction, and between one of the side members and an extended line extended in the vehicle front-rear direction from a side wall of the motor. The pressure-reducing valve is disposed on the second valve side.

ACTIVE DRAIN LIQUID TRAP FOR FUEL SYSTEM
20170227139 · 2017-08-10 · ·

An active drain liquid trap configured for use with a fuel tank system and constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a trap body, a float and a pilot. The trap body defines a first inlet, a second inlet and an outlet. The first inlet is fluidly connected to a fuel pump. The second inlet is fluidly connected to a vapor line. The float is rotatably mounted about a float pivot. The pilot moves between an open and closed position. Rotation of the float causes the pilot to be urged into an open position and fluid to be drained from the trap body through the outlet.

FUEL TANK ISOLATION VALVE FOR VEHICLE
20220305906 · 2022-09-29 ·

A fuel tank isolation valve for a vehicle is provided. A valve opening operation or a valve closing operation is performed using guide protrusions configured to move along a guide slot, in response to an upward or downward movement of a plunger. The discharge of a battery is prevented. An abrupt change in the pressure of a fuel tank is prevented.

Oil filler cap and saddle riding type vehicle

In an oil filler cap, a valve part of a valve device is arranged in a range between a lower end of a screw part that is screwed to an oil filler opening part in a cap body and a seal surface that is arranged at a higher position than the screw part, a ventilation passage part is arranged above the valve part, and a ratchet mechanism is arranged on an outer circumferential side of the ventilation passage part.

FUEL TANK PRESSURE REGULATOR
20170260932 · 2017-09-14 ·

A tank venting system in accordance with the present disclosure includes a vent apparatus for regulating flow of fuel vapor between a fuel tank and a fuel vapor recovery system in a vehicle. The flow of fuel vapor is controlled to maintain the pressure of fuel vapor in the fuel tank at a certain pressure level or within a certain pressure range during different modes of use.

FUEL FILL CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANTICIPATING VEHICLE REFUELING EVENTS
20210380397 · 2021-12-09 ·

Vehicle fuel fill control systems may anticipate vehicle refueling events in order to control the timing of fuel tank depressurization sequences. In a first embodiment, a global positioning system (GPS) is utilized to anticipate the vehicle refueling event prior to initializing the depressurization sequence. In another embodiment, a camera system is utilized to anticipate the refueling event prior to initializing the depressurization sequence. In yet another embodiment, both the GPS and the camera system may be utilized to anticipate the refueling event. By anticipating refueling events, customer wait time for gaining refueling access may be reduced.

PURGE SYSTEM OF FUEL VAPOR AND METHOD THEREOF
20220185101 · 2022-06-16 ·

A purge system of a fuel vapor includes a sensor sensing an operation of a refueling button, a fuel tank isolation valve provided on a vapor line connecting a fuel tank and a canister, an active purge pump provided on a purge line connecting the canister and an intake system, and a controller opening the fuel tank isolation valve and operating the active purge pump if the operation of the refueling button is recognized by the sensor to trap the fuel vapor generated from the fuel tank into the purge line.

Fuel supply device

In a fuel supply device including a regulator and float-type level sensor, a fitting tube is formed integrally with an upper housing, a fuel pump being retained between the upper and lower housings. An outer periphery of a base part of the regulator is fitted into the tube. A regulator retaining member is formed as a separate member from the upper housing and retains the regulator in cooperation with the tube. The tube and the retaining member are joined via a snap-fit join part provided on fitting parts therebetween. The snap-fit join part is formed by engaging a projecting portion or a recess part, formed on an elastic piece provided on one of the fitting parts between the retaining member and the tube, with the recess part or the projecting portion formed on the other fitting part. A sensor support arm is molded as a unit with the retaining member.

Valve system for a fuel tank

A valve system includes a housing with a tank connection for connecting to a fuel tank, a filter connection for connecting to an activated carbon filter, and a filling tube connection for connecting to a filling tube of the fuel tank. Both the tank connection and the filter connection and/or the filling tube connection can be in form of a connecting piece, connected directly or indirectly to the fuel tank through a connecting line leading to the fuel tank, the activated carbon filter or the filling tube.
