A fuel cell vehicle mounted with a fuel gas tank in an underfloor of the vehicle. The fuel cell vehicle includes: a floor that has a projecting portion projecting upward in a height direction of the vehicle and extending along a front and rear direction of the vehicle; a fuel gas tank arranged under the projecting portion in the height direction of the vehicle and fixed to the floor; and an undercover arranged under the fuel gas tank in the height direction of the vehicle. The undercover has a fixation protruded portion that projects upward in the height direction of the vehicle in a side of the fuel gas tank in a width direction of the vehicle, and being fixed to the floor by the fixation protruded portion.

METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING FAILURE OF FLOWMETER IN MEASURING MACHINE AND HYDROGEN FILLING DEVICE

According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for diagnosing a failure of a flowmeter in a measuring machine, includes calculating a filling amount at an end of filling of the hydrogen gas into a tank from the measuring machine by using a pressure, a temperature, and a volume of the tank; and determining whether or not the flowmeter fails by using a plurality of error values between a metering filling amount at the end of filling measured using the flowmeter and a calculated filling amount at the end of filling calculated using the pressure, the temperature, and the volume of the tank, the plurality of error values being based on a plurality of past performance data stored in a storage device, and an error value at the end of filling of the hydrogen gas at a present time, and outputting a result.

Fuel cell vehicle

A fuel cell vehicle includes a front compartment and a metallic dash panel in a front side of the vehicle. The front compartment houses a fuel cell stack, a gas-liquid separator, and a fuel gas pump. The dash panel is disposed between the front compartment and a cabin to partition them. The fuel gas pump is mounted to a lower portion of a stack frame in a state of projecting from the stack frame toward the dash panel side. The gas-liquid separator is mounted to a lower portion of the fuel gas pump in a state of projecting from the stack frame and the fuel gas pump toward the dash panel side. The fuel gas pump is made of metal, and the gas-liquid separator is made of resin.

A gas sensor includes: a first electrode; a metal oxide layer that is on the first electrode and has a resistance value that changes when the metal oxide layer contacts hydrogen atoms; a second electrode on the metal oxide layer; and an insulating film that covers at least a part of side surfaces of the first electrode, the metal oxide layer, and the second electrode. In the metal oxide layer, a part of a first interface between the first electrode and the metal oxide layer is not covered by the insulating film and is exposed to a gas.

Vehicle frame arrangement

A frame arrangement for a vehicle may include a first side member and a second side member that each have an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portions are spaced laterally apart by a first distance, and the lower portions are spaced laterally apart by a second distance less than the first distance. The frame arrangement may further include a first battery positioned between the lower portions of the side members, and a second battery positioned between the upper portions of the side members.
