LIQUID TANK FOR MOTOR VEHICLES, HAVING A RETENTION COMPONENT RETAINING LIQUID CLOSE TO A WITHDRAWAL OPENING
A liquid tank having a tank interior space delimited by a tank wall and fillable with liquid, a withdrawal opening; a retention component that delimits a component interior region in the tank interior space; the component volume of the interior region being less than the tank volume; a partition of the retention component permitting a flow of liquid, out of a component exterior region located outside the interior region but inside the tank volume, through the partition into the interior region and presenting a flow resistance to a flow out of the interior region through the partition into the exterior region, in such a way that the partition exhibits a liquid retention capability with respect to surging movements of liquid in the interior region; the withdrawal opening being arranged in such a way that at least as soon as a level falls below a threshold, the partition is arranged between the withdrawal opening and a liquid quantity received in an exterior region of the tank interior space; the retention component is flowthrough-capable at least in portions only unidirectionally from the exterior region into the interior region, but not in the opposite direction.
Fuel supply device and method for mounting and demounting fuel supply device
A pump unit includes an insertion guide member that extends in a longitudinal direction of the pump unit and is used to guide the pump unit at a time of inserting the pump unit into an opening portion of a fuel tank. The insertion guide member includes a stopper portion and a guide portion that are arranged along an edge part of the insertion guide member. When the pump unit is projected in the longitudinal direction onto a plane of projection, the stopper portion protrudes outward from an imaginary circle, which has a fitting portion's diameter, on the plane of projection. The guide portion guides the pump unit in a rotational direction relative to a stay. A cross section of the pump unit taken along a guide portion orthogonal plane is set to be within the imaginary circle, which has the fitting portion's diameter.
BLOW MOLDED SUPPORT FOR INLET CHECK VALVE
The invention relates to a filler pipe (1) weldable to a liquid tank (3) of a vehicle, wherein the filler pipe comprises a main body (4), a secondary body (5) configured to support an inlet check valve (2) and a weldable flange (6) suitable for welding around an opening in the liquid tank (3), the weldable flange (6) extending between the main body (4) and the secondary body (5).
Coupling
A system includes a body with a fluid passage therethrough, a first open end, and an opposite termination, a valve positioned within the body and including first and second ends, the valve moving between open and closed positions, the valve being biased into the closed position, and a seal positioned on the second end of the valve, the seal forming the closed position when the valve is biased towards the first open end of the body, and the seal engaging a shoulder formed by the body to retain the valve within the body. The seal is accessible from the termination of the body to allow the valve to be coupled to the body.
Integrated fuel tank assembly
The present invention relates to an integrated fuel tank assembly, and a process of manufacturing the same, for use in commercial vehicles, and more particularly, to an integrated fuel tank assembly that allows multiple components to be manufactured as a single integral structure, such as a single extruded device including a draw tube, a return tube, a fuel sender device, and a vent, for example.
Fuel Pump and Fuel Supply Unit
A fuel pump includes: an electric motor; a pump stage drivable by the electric motor; a fuel pump housing configured to accommodate the electric motor and the pump stage; and a bracket configured to fasten the fuel pump to a wall. The fuel pump housing includes a plastic first housing part configured to accommodate at least one selected from the group of the electric motor and the pump stage. The first housing part is configured as a single piece with the bracket, the bracket being integral with the first housing part.
Vehicle fuel pump cover assembly and method
A cover assembly and method for a vehicle fuel pump includes a cover base secured in a fixed position relative to the vehicle fuel pump and a flexible cover connected to the cover base and positioned by the cover base to inhibit water access to the vehicle fuel pump. The method includes securing the cover base in a fixed position relative to the vehicle fuel pump, connecting the flexible cover to the cover base, and positioning the flexible cover with the cover base to inhibit water access to the vehicle fuel pump.
System and method for supporting an in-tank fuel pump
An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump is capable of pressurizing the fuel to pressures suitable for use in fuel injection type engines. A resiliently deformable in-tank fuel filter may be coupled to the pump.
Fuel pump cover
A fuel pump cover includes a first cover member and a second cover member. The first cover member has an attachment flange configured to attach to a surface of a fuel tank, a cover part coupled to the attachment flange and configured to cover a first fuel pump outlet to a fuel pump, and an attachment feature. The second cover member is configured to be removably attached to the attachment feature, and configured to cover a second fuel pump outlet to the fuel pump.
Fuel tank system
A fuel tank system includes: a fuel tank capable of storing fuel; a canister that has a ventilation port and an introduction port and that accommodates an adsorbent capable of adsorbing evaporative fuel introduced into the canister; a housing attached to the canister, and accommodating a pump configured to apply a pressure to an interior of the canister through the ventilation port; a pipeline that has an atmosphere opening port opening to an outside, the pipeline extending from the atmosphere opening port toward the ventilation port; and a filter unit having an internal space in which an air filter is arranged, the filter unit being removably fitted to the housing and the pipeline, the housing and the pipeline communicating with each other via the internal space.
