The fuel filler pipe body includes an opening of the other end thereof to which a nozzle guide is mounted. The nozzle guide includes on an one end side thereof an annular covering portion configured to cover annularly the outer circumferential surface of the other end side of the fuel filler pipe body. An annular rubber sealing member configured to seal between an inner circumferential surface of the annular recessed groove and an inner circumferential surface of the annular covering portion fits with the annular recessed groove.

A tank mounting adapter is provided that includes a tank adapter disc and a compression nut. The tank adapter disc includes an opening disposed therethrough, which may be sized to receive at least a portion of the support structure of the fluid pump. The compression nut may include a collar with a threaded opening disposed therethrough such that threads of the threaded opening are configured to correspond to threads on the support structure of the fluid pump. The compression nut may be located adjacent the tank adapter disc. The collar may further include a lower portion that extends into the opening of the tank adapter disc. The compression nut may be movable with respect to the tank adapter disc and against the tank adapter disc.

The support has a second quick connector for mating and providing fluid communication with the first quick connector. The fuel tank and support are configured such that securing the fuel tank in the support simultaneously mates the second quick connector to the first quick connector to provide for fluid communication between the second quick connector and the fuel in the fuel tank. A support for holding a portable fuel tank is also provided.

An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.
