The form-fit connection is produced by pressing the fastening surface of the insert part against the heated fastening region of the container wall such that the retaining geometries penetrate into the container wall without penetrating through the container wall, free ends of the retaining geometries come to lie inside the container wall, and the plastic of the container wall is arranged between the retaining geometries.

Some fluid tanks comprise stratified layers of different fluids. A buoyant portion of the suction tube can be constantly submerged in a desired portion of the fluid, allowing the desired fluid to be removed through the inlet port. The level indicator system may include a cable system connected between a biased level indicator that moves in conjunction with the movement of the buoyant portion to indicate the fluid level. In the alternative, the level indicator system can include sensors on the suction tube to remotely monitor the level of liquid in the tank; sensors include inclinometers, accelerometers, sending units, and magnetostrictive sensors.

Fuel system mountable to a vehicle frame

A fuel system is provided that includes a fuel system frame and in some cases access steps. The frame can be mounted to a vehicle frame rail. Bracket assemblies can be coupled to the fuel system frame at a plurality of positions. The fuel tank can be mounted at neck portions thereof and can be supported on the frame rail between the neck portion, e.g., spaced a distance from the neck portions in a longitudinal direction of the fuel system. The access steps can be non-rectangular to provide a wide stepping portion even if the fuel system includes large tanks. The steps can be directly supported by an outside surface of the tank.
