A vehicle tank having a container and a pair of spaced apart baffle plates directly connected to walls of the container to define a swirl pot. The baffle plates have at least one orifice which lies spatially above the swirl pot, and within the swirl pot, the baffle plates have valves to allow an inflow of fuel into the swirl pot.
FUEL TANK WITH WATER BLADDER
A tank assembly is provided and includes a housing which has a housing volume and which is chargeable with a volume of a first fluid, a bladder disposed within the housing and chargeable with a second fluid such that the bladder has a minimal volume in an uncharged state and a flow system. The flow system includes a portion thereof which is coupled to the bladder and which has a second volume within the housing. The flow system is configured to at least charge the bladder with a volume of the second fluid which is equal to or less than a difference between the housing volume less a sum of the minimal volume and the second volume and the volume of the first fluid.
Composite tanks for reusable launch vehicles and methods of fabricating thereof
A composite tank for a reusable launch vehicle comprises a composite wall, having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The composite wall comprises a first end, a second end, a central axis, which passes through the first end and through the second end, and a cylindrical interior surface. The composite tank also comprises slosh baffles, formed from a second material, having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is different from the first coefficient of thermal expansion. Each of the slosh baffles is attached to the cylindrical interior surface of the composite wall. Each of the slosh baffles is annular and is separated from the cylindrical interior surface of the composite wall by a radial gap, selected, in part, based on a difference between the first coefficient of thermal expansion and the second coefficient of thermal expansion. The radial gap is configured to change responsive to changes in temperature of the composite tank.

A reservoir cup assembly of an LPG fuel tank for a vehicle is configured to be installed on the fuel storage space side of the LPG fuel tank for automobiles, and includes a cup body disposed on the bottom side of the fuel storage space of the fuel tank and having a reservoir space for storing residual LPG fuel and a fuel supply formed on the reservoir space side of the cup body and inducing fuel from the fuel storage space side to the reservoir space side to a state in which fuel can flow in and remain stored.
SADDLE TANK WITH SWASH BARRIER
The present disclosure relates to a saddle tank for motor vehicles, having two chambers connected to one another in their upper region via a central portion having a reduced cross-section, wherein the first chamber has an access opening for refueling and wherein a fill level-limiting valve is arranged in the second chamber. In order to prevent unwanted swash-over of fuel from the first chamber into the second chamber, provision is made according to the invention for there to be arranged, between the two chambers, a separating body which has a separating wall, which extends over the entire width of the central portion between an upper and a lower wall portion, and a pipe which extends from an opening in the separating wall into the first chamber and allows fluid communication between the first and the second chamber.
Fuel Tank
A fuel tank for a truck, the fuel tank having a fuel tank body with a peripheral wall and end walls that define at least one receptacle to receive a liquid or gaseous medium. At least one baffle is fixedly attached to the inside surface of the peripheral wall via an inner fixing member. An outer fixing member is to fixedly attach the fuel tank body to the chassis of the truck, and is also connected to the inner fixing member through the peripheral wall.

LIQUID RESERVOIR SYSTEM AND METHOD
Liquid reservoir systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a liquid reservoir system may capture and retain a fuel reservoir to provide an un-interrupted fuel supply to a fuel pump or pickup line during low fuel conditions such as those that may be experienced during vehicle acceleration, braking or side to side maneuvers. It may also capture and retain a fuel reservoir to provide an un-interrupted fuel supply to a fuel pump or other pickup line during periods of high agitation such as may be experienced during vehicle jumping, cross country/closed course racing and other aggressive driving maneuvers.
Liquid tank including integrated surface structure
A liquid tank includes a tank wall enclosing a tank volume and at least one relief structure facing the tank volume on an inner side of the tank wall. The relief structure is formed as one-piece with the tank wall. Two shell parts can be joined along a joining surface to make a section of the tank wall. One of the shell parts can include a tank bottom. At least one part of the relief structure can be formed on the tank bottom. The relief structure can include projections protruding into the tank volume along a local direction of projection.
Floating active baffles, system and method of slosh damping comprising the same
This disclosure provides a system for damping slosh of a liquid within a tank, a baffle for use in the system, and a method of damping slosh using the system. The system includes a plurality of baffles. Each baffle has a body configured to substantially float upon the liquid. Each baffle also has an activation material received along at least a portion of the body. The activation material is magnetically reactive provided in a quantity sufficient to enable the body to be manipulated in the presence of a magnetic field (M). The system further includes an actuator configured to provide the magnetic field (M).
