Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat having a tiltable unit provided in a receiving recess formed in a seatback, the vehicle seat including a stopper structure configured to keep the tiltable unit in the receiving recess, wherein the stopper structure is configured so that a protrusion piece provided to one of an inner peripheral part of the receiving recess and an outer peripheral part of the tiltable unit is pressed against the other, and wherein the protrusion piece is arranged to be sandwiched between a seat cover, which covers a general plane of the one of the inner peripheral part of the receiving recess and the outer peripheral part of the tiltable unit, and a seat pad covered with the seat cover, and the protrusion piece forms a protrusion shape protruding further than the general plane and pressed against the other.
Seat assembly
A seat assembly includes a seat base and a seatback disposed proximal to the seat base. The seatback includes a seatback body and an armrest movably coupled to the seatback body. As such, the armrest can move relative to the seatback body among a closed position, a release position, and an open position. The armrest is removably coupled to the seatback body. Therefore, the armrest can be removed from the seatback body only when the armrest is in the release position.
MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT HAVING AN ARMREST
A vehicle seating assembly includes a first seating unit having a backrest, which includes a front side and a back side. An armrest I operably coupled with an intermediate portion of the back side and is configured for use by a passenger seated in a second seating unit disposed behind but laterally offset from the first seating unit. The armrest is moveable between an in-use position, wherein an upper surface of the armrest is generally horizontally positioned and available to support the passenger, and a stowed position, wherein the armrest is generally adjacent to a rear face of the backrest of the first seating unit.
CENTER ARMREST LOCK
A locking assembly for a vehicle armrest includes a pivoting catch member disposed below an armrest body and a catch wire disposed on a seat back frame member. A retractable stop pin maintains engagement of the pivoting catch member and the catch wire. A release is operatively connected to the retractable stop pin, which may be urged into engagement with the pivoting catch member by a spring. Armrest and seat assemblies including the locking assembly are provided.
Armrest retractable upon an adverse event and seat assembly employing the same
The present invention in one or more embodiments provides a seat assembly of a vehicle, including a seat base, a seat back communicating with the seat base, an armrest communicating with at least one of the seat back and the seat base, and a pretension unit connected to the armrest such that the armrest is retractable upon activation of the pretension unit. The pretension unit may include a pretensioner, a pulley, and a cable.
ARTICULATING ARMREST
An articulating armrest includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion that protrude from a member a predetermined spacing apart. Each protrusion aligns within a separate track within a housing configured for stowing the armrest within a seat back. The two tracks include straight and curved portions configured to articulate the armrest. Specifically, the armrest moves along a curvilinear path between stowed and deployed positions by translating along the tracks and pivoting about the second protrusion. The armrest may stow in a seat back and beneath the seat bottom to provide a full length armrest when deployed, and the armrest may stow flush with the seat back for sitting against. Mechanical tension may be provided to automatically deploy the armrest, and a rotational damper and a gas spring may be used to control the speed at which the armrest deploys.
Vehicle Armrest Structure with Organic Fibers
A vehicle armrest includes an armrest structure with a first shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The armrest structure also includes a second shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The first shell has a first contact portion that extends toward the second shell. The second shell has a second contact portion that extends toward the first shell. The first contact portion of the first shell is connected to the second contact portion of the second shell.
ARM REST FRAME, ARM REST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARM REST FRAME
An arm rest frame (1) includes at least one frame component (7, 8, 9, 11). The at least one frame component (7, 8, 9, 11) is made from a organosheet. An arm rest and a method for producing an arm rest frame (1) are also provided.
Armrest with plastic bearing
An armrest of a vehicle seat or a seat bench includes an arm support attached to a console element. A bearing arrangement enables swivel movement of the arm support between a support element of the arm support and the console element. In a preferred embodiment, the bearing arrangement is formed by at least three sliding bearings which are disposed so as to be distributed across the width of the armrest and which, in turn, are formed by the console element and the support element, which are made of a plastic material.
