Detection systems and methods using ultra-short range radar
An ultra-short range radar (USRR) system of a vehicle includes an object detection module configured to, based on radar signals from USRR sensors of the vehicle: identify the presence of an object that is external to the vehicle; determine a location of the object; and determine at least one of a height, a length, and a width of the object. A remedial action module is configured to, based on the location of the object and the at least one dimension of the object, at least one of: selectively actuate an actuator of the vehicle; selectively generate an audible alert via at least one speaker of the vehicle; and selectively generate a visual alert via at least one light emitting device of the vehicle.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DRIVING INFORMATION OF VEHICLE
An apparatus for transmitting driving information of a vehicle may include: a surrounding information sensing unit configured to sense an obstacle positioned within a designated distance around the vehicle or an obstacle approaching within a designated distance; a vehicle information sensing unit configured to sense a status of the ego vehicle; a control unit configured to determine a surrounding situation of the ego vehicle or whether the surrounding situation was recognized, based on the information sensed through the surrounding information sensing unit, determine the status of the ego vehicle based on the information sensed through the vehicle information sensing unit, and output information through an information output unit, the information corresponding to the determined surrounding situation or whether the surrounding situation was recognized and the determined status of the ego vehicle; and the information output unit including a display lamp and speaker installed on the vehicle body.
Automatic hazard light systems and methods
Systems and methods of automatically operating a vehicle's hazards lights are provided. The speed of vehicle can be determined. When the speed of the vehicle is compared to an expected speed of the vehicle given various operating conditions, e.g., the output of the vehicle's engine (engine RPM) or motor (motor rotation), is slower than expected, it is assumed that the vehicle is towing a load. When the vehicle is towing a load and is also traveling at a speed that is substantially slower than the flow of traffic, a current speed limit, etc., a determination can be made to automatically activate the vehicle's hazard lights. Alternatively, even if the vehicle is towing a load, but is traveling at a speed that does not warrant activation of the vehicle's hazard lights, the hazard lights may be automatically deactivated.

Vehicle slide detection
A system for monitoring vehicle dynamics and detecting adverse events during operation is presented. Position sensors attached to a vehicle are configured to identify a vehicle orientation (heading) as well as the vehicle's direction of travel (trajectory). A system controller connected to these position sensors can detect the difference between these two measurements. When the difference between these two measurements exceeds a safety threshold, it can be an indication of a slip event. A slip event can be caused by compromised traction or stability and may lead to a loss of vehicle control. The system controller can be configured to monitor various vehicle dynamics to detect these slip events. The system controller may be configured to track geolocations of slip events to create a database of historical slip events for determining location-based risk factors and prevention of future events.
Tailgate and rooftop mounted warning or emergency lights
A warning and emergency light module removably attached to a tailgate of a vehicle. A contoured fixture having a length and couture to match a panel of the tailgate holds a light bar within a channel. End caps placed on the opposing ends of the assist in holding the light bar ends in the channel and the contoured fixture on the tailgate of the vehicle. In another embodiment, a warning and emergency light module is attached to a roof of a vehicle so that lights forming an array extend longitudinally along the side of the vehicle. Visibility in all directions and functionality of an emergency vehicle is enhanced.

IMPROVED SIGNALING DEVICE
A signaling device intended to be worn by a moving user such as a rider of a two-wheel vehicle providing improved visibility on the part of other road users through the provision of a light source at a greater height than is conventional for such vehicles comprises an accelerometer taking measurements along three orthogonal axes, a rechargeable battery pack, a first light source, wireless communication means for transmitting an alert signal and a control unit which activates the light source above a particular deceleration or braking threshold, activates the communication means at a higher deceleration or accident threshold and activates the communication means when a number of switchovers between acceleration and deceleration is equal to or higher than a third threshold.
Expansion Type Caution Device
An inflatable warning system for roads that enables the user to warn the rear driver by expanding an inflatable tube, which is a warning system. More specifically, when the driver pulls the handle of the gas injector formed on the main body, the compressed gas stored in a gas container is instantaneously injected to the inflatable tube, and the warning system expanded by the injected compressed gas stands up, thereby notifying the rear driver to recognize the warning system to prevent an accident.
Roadway Hazard Warning Assembly
A roadway hazard warning assembly for enhancing visibility of a disabled vehicle on a roadway includes a vehicle that has been disabled on the side of a roadway. A warning flag is positionable on the vehicle when the vehicle becomes disabled on the roadway. The warning flag has light reflecting properties for reflecting light from headlights of oncoming traffic. In this way the warning flag can alert the oncoming traffic to the disabled vehicle. A plurality of fastening straps is provided and each of the fastening straps is removably coupled between the warning flag and the vehicle for retaining the warning flag on the vehicle.
