MULTI-PURPOSE STORAGE COMPARTMENT
A vehicle dash panel storage compartment includes a storage bin disposed within the dash panel and a top-mounted storage bin closure. The storage bin closure is configured to translate between a deployed position covering the storage bin and a stowed position. A deployable tray is disposed within the storage bin, configured for translation between a stowed position and a plurality of deployed positions substantially parallel to a plane defined by a vehicle x-axis. In the deployed position, the deployable tray divides the storage bin into two vertically stacked sections.
EXPANDABLE MIRRORS
Various expandable mirrors and a vehicle having the same are described. An expandable mirror may include a first pane having a first reflective surface and a second pane having a second reflective surface. The expandable mirror may also include a mechanism connected with each of the first and second panes. The mechanism may be actuated to expand a viewing area of the mirror such that the expanded viewing area includes both the first and second reflective surfaces. The expandable mirror may also include a third pane having a third reflective surface that contributes to the viewing area when the mirror is expanded. The expandable mirror may also include a manual button configured to actuate or de-actuate the mechanism when pressed. The expandable mirror may also include a positioning motor configured to adjust the orientation of the viewing area of the mirror.
Device with a camera unit
The invention relates to a device with a camera unit, serving to take pictures of the outside of a motor vehicle, and a lid element movable via a drive between a closed position, in which the lid element covers an opening of the device and an open position, in which the lid element exposes the opening, wherein in the closed position of the lid element the camera unit is inaccessible from the outside behind the lid element and in the open position of the lid element pictures can be taken. According to the invention provision is made for the lid element to be an actuating element for the camera unit in order to move the camera unit between an idle position and an operating position.
POSITIONING SYSTEM FOR POSITIONING A DISPLAY DEVICE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND A MOTOR VEHICLE
A positioning system for positioning a display device for presenting visually perceptible information in a motor vehicle, the positioning system includes a display and a guide system with at least one rail element, and with at least one slide element guidable with the rail element. One of the two elements is fixed by a connection device to the display device and the respective other element is designed to be connected to a supporting structure or a transverse member of an instrument panel. At least one securing element which is rigidly connected by a first end region to the display device and by a second end region to the element designed for connection to the supporting structure. Under action of specific pulses, the guide system can achieve a substantially translational displacement of the display device by a relative movement between the rail element and the slide element in the guide plane.
TWO-DIMENSIONAL (2-D) ARRAYS OF TRANSITION METAL NITRIDES FOR LI-METAL ANODES
The present disclosure is directed to freestanding films for a lithium-metal-anode comprising a 2D arrays of nanocrystals of a transition metal nitride, carbide, or mixture and optionally a MXene as a conductive binder, and methods of making and using the same.
Vehicle interior structures including curtain members
An interior structure includes a pillar garnish, a channel member, and a screen member. The pillar garnish is integral with a center pillar, and is formed with an opening facing a vehicle cabin and formed with a hollow housing section on the opposite side to the vehicle cabin. The channel member is provided so as to be capable of being housed in the housing section and capable of moving toward the vehicle cabin through the opening. The screen member is provided at the channel member so as to be housed in the housing section when in a non-deployed state and so as to be deployed in the vehicle cabin in a state in which the channel member has been moved into the vehicle cabin.
Vehicle shelf system and method of use
A shelf system that may be used with a vehicle is described. The shelf system may have a shelf member that selectively pivots between a raised position and a lowered position. The shelf system may have a frame system as well as a sub-frame system to support it within the vehicle.
Display device and driving support system
A display device or a driving support system which enables a driver to obtain information easily is provided. A display device or a driving support system which is unlikely to impose a burden on a driver is provided. A display device or a driving support system which is suitable for space saving is provided. A display device or a driving support system which is capable of large-area display is provided. A display device or a driving support system which does not impair the aesthetic appearance of the car interior is provided. The display device includes a display panel which has flexibility and can be transformed between a first form and a second form, and a driving means having a function of reversibly changing the display panel between the first form and the second form. The first form is a form in which a display surface of the display panel is suspended, and the second form is a form in which the display panel is stored upward.
Seatback Phone Mount Apparatus
A seatback phone mount apparatus for securing a phone to a seatback includes a main base. A pair of expandable supports is coupled to a base left side and a base right side of the main base. Each expandable support slidably moves between a compressed position and an extended position. A pair of seat clips is coupled to the pair of expandable supports. Each seat clip is coupled to a distal end of each expandable support. The pair of seat clips selectively engages a pair of seat sides of a seatback. A neck is coupled to a base front side of the main base. A phone plate is coupled to the neck. A magnet is coupled within the phone plate to secure a cellphone to the phone plate.
