Overmolded Wiring Harness
20220320840 · 2022-10-06 · ·

A wiring harness for coupling electronic components includes a hollow trunk sleeve and a hollow branch sleeve. The trunk sleeve includes one or more notches and bends spaced apart along its length. The branch sleeve is interconnected to the trunk sleeve at each corresponding notch, with each branch sleeve open to the trunk sleeve through the respective notch. A bundle of wires extends through the trunk sleeve, with a sub-set of the bundle extending through each notch and corresponding branch sleeve. A first encapsulation layer is disposed about the trunk and branch sleeve at each interconnection separately secures each branch sleeve to the trunk sleeve. A second encapsulation layer is disposed about each bend to maintain the trunk sleeve in a desired pre-defined pattern with each first and second encapsulation layer being separated such that at least a portion of the trunk sleeve is free of the encapsulation layers.

Provided is a novel heat dissipation structure for a wire harness by which excellent heat dissipation can be ensured while achieving improved versatility using a simple structure. The heat dissipation structure for a wire harness includes wire harnesses, heat dissipation bodies with which the wire harnesses are in contact in a heat conductive manner, and a heat conductive member whose heat conductivity is improved in a specific direction. The wire harnesses and the heat dissipation bodies are pressed against each other with the heat conductive member sandwiched in between in the specific direction.

Wire harness

A wire harness including: a plurality of wires each including a core wire whose transverse cross-sectional shape is a flat shape, and an insulating sheath covering an outer circumference of the core wire; a plurality of outer covers into which the plurality of wires are inserted respectively, wherein the outer covers are independent of each other and each have a flat tubular shape; and a clamp that is attached to an outer circumferential surface of the outer covers and that fix the outer covers to a vehicle body.

WIRING MEMBER

A wiring member includes: at least one wiring body including a sheet and a wire-like transmission member fixed to the sheet; and a regulation member including a housing part and a retaining piece and attached to the wiring body. The housing part includes a bottom part and two sidewall parts protruding from the bottom part. The wiring body is housed in the housing part while both end portions along a width direction are bended with respect to an intermediate portion and extend toward a tip end portion of each of the two sidewall parts. The retaining piece protrudes above the housing part from the tip end portion of each of the two sidewall parts to press the end portions of the wiring body.

CONNECTOR, WIRING HARNESS AND ASSEMBLY METHOD THEREFOR

A connector includes a plurality of terminals to be respectively connected to end parts of a plurality of wires, an annular connector housing for accommodating the plurality of terminals, and an inner member to be mounted on an end part of the connector housing. The connector includes a plurality of through holes provided in the inner member, the plurality of wires being individually passed through the plurality of through holes, a plurality of annular sealing members to be individually fit inside the plurality of through holes, and an annular sealing member to be fit outside the inner member. The sealing members are held in close contact with outer peripheral surfaces of the wires and inner peripheral surfaces of the through holes. The sealing member is held in close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the inner member and an inner peripheral surface of the connector housing.

VEHICLE INTERIOR TRIM SECURING SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

A vehicle interior trim securing system includes a trim piece that includes a trim piece body. The trim piece includes a wire harness support that extends outward from the trim piece body that includes a support portion including an inner portion, an outer portion and a connecting portion that connects the inner portion and the outer portion forming a channel that is sized to receive a wire harness. A sealing structure includes a suction cup that is connected to the outer portion and a pull tab connected to the suction cup. The pull tab is partially covered by the trim piece body with the suction cup adhered to a floor underbody panel and has a length such that a free end extends laterally beyond the trim piece body.

Exterior member for electric wire and wire harness

A wire harness includes an electric wire bundle and an exterior member for electric wire. The exterior member for electric wire includes a tubular exterior body for protecting the electric wire bundle, a slit formed in the exterior body along an exterior axis of the exterior body, and an inner portion continuous with a circumferential end portion of the exterior body. The inner portion is disposed on an outer side of the exterior body before the electric wire bundle is accommodated. Further, the inner portion is formed with an electric wire pressed portion against which the electric wire bundle is pressed. Further, the inner portion is pushed into the exterior body through the slit while being deformed so as to be inverted when the electric wire bundle is pressed against the electric wire pressed portion, and is accommodated in the exterior body together with the electric wire bundle.

WIRING MEMBER

A wiring member includes a sheet, a first wire-like transmission member fixed to the sheet, and a second wire-like transmission member having lower rigidity than the first wire-like transmission member and fixed to the sheet. An intersection part of the first wire-like transmission member and the second wire-like transmission member is provided on the sheet, and the first wire-like transmission member is located closer to a side of the sheet than the second wire-like transmission member in the intersection part.

Fixing bracket, combination, arrangement, and method of manufacturing a fixing bracket

Various embodiments of the teachings here include a fixing bracket for fixing a tie wrap at a fuel rail for mounting a wiring harness at the fuel rail, the fixing bracket comprising: a one-piece bracket body extending along a longitudinal direction, the bracket body including a first longitudinal end section, a second longitudinal end section, and an intermediate section. The intermediate section is disposed between the first end section and the second end section. The intermediate section comprises a protrusion including two bows spaced apart from one other by a slot disposed between the bows.
