The invention relates, inter alia, to a belt retractor (10) for a safety belt device, with a belt reel (20) for winding up and unwinding the safety belt, a pretensioner drive (40) and a pyrotechnic tensioner drive (30), wherein the pretensioner drive (40) has a force-flux-control element (100) which, in a deactivation position, interrupts the force flux between pretensioner drive (40) and belt reel (20). It is provided that the pyrotechnic tensioner drive (30) has one or more drive elements (33) which, after activation of the pyrotechnic tensioner drive (30), is or are set into motion, and, after activation of the pyrotechnic tensioner drive (30), the force-flux-control element (100) is adjusted directly or indirectly by the drive element (33) orin the case of a plurality of drive elements (33)by at least one of the drive elements (33) of the pyrotechnic tensioner drive (30) into the deactivation position.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
A seat belt system for protecting an occupant of a vehicle, the system having seat belt webbing connected to a seat belt retractor that includes (a) a frame; (b) a spool with the seat belt webbing wound around, wherein the spool is rotatably mounted to the frame and configured to rotate in a webbing extraction direction and a webbing retraction direction; (c) an energy absorbing device for absorbing energy when the spool is rotated in the webbing extraction direction after an emergency event has occurred; and (d) a mechanism for selectively cancelling the operation of the energy absorbing device by preventing motion of the spool in the webbing extraction direction.
Webbing take-up device
A webbing take-up device includes a spool, a motor that includes a rotation shaft, and an A-gear, a B-gear, a holder gear, an input gear, a clutch gear, an idle gear, and a spool gear that transmit rotation of the rotation shaft to the spool. The webbing take-up device further includes clutch weights that are moved toward a rotation-radial direction outside by being rotated together with the input gear such that rotation force of the input gear is transmitted to the clutch gear. Moreover, axial centers of rotations of the A-gear, the B-gear, the input gear and the clutch gear, and the idle gear are disposed between an axial center of rotation of the holder gear and an axial center of rotation of the spool gear.
Seatbelt retractor
A power transmission mechanism (19) for transmitting power from a motor (34) to a spindle (12) having a clutch housing (50), a pawl (41) engageable with the clutch housing (50), a gear wheel (57) which holds the pawl (41) and rotates with the rotation of the motor (34), an outer gear cover (26), and a friction ring (42) engaging with the pawl (41) and held on the outer gear cover (26) by frictional force. The friction ring (42) is provided with a protruding portion (42a) which engages with an engagement groove (41b) of the pawl (41), and a plurality of contact pieces (42b) in contact with an outer peripheral surface of a small diameter ring portion (26c) of the outer gear cover (26) and press radially against the outer peripheral surface towards an inner side The friction ring can be easily coupled to the outer gear cover.
SEATBELT RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY
A system includes a seatbelt retractor having a spool and a braking claw selectively engageable with the spool. The system includes an actuator designed to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool. The system includes a processor and a memory storing program instructions executable by the processor to actuate the actuator to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool for a threshold amount of time after detecting an impact of a vehicle.
BELT TIGHTENER, SAFETY BELT DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A SAFETY BELT DEVICE
A belt tightener for tightening a safety belt in a vehicle includes an impulse screw drive unit to generate a greater torque than can be achieved by a mechanical coupling between a motor and the belt tightener.
Vehicle seatbelt assembly
A seatback portion has a tether passageway defined therein from proximate an upper section to proximate a lower section thereof. A seatbelt tether includes a tensioning mechanism, a tether ring and a connecting portion that extends from the tether ring to the tensioning mechanism. The connecting portion extends through the tether passageway with the tether ring located at the upper section outside the seatback portion. The tether ring is shaped and dimension to slide-ably receive a seatbelt. The tensioning mechanism selectively applies tension to the tether ring. In a non-tensioned state the tether ring is movable to an upper outboard side of the seatback portion. In a tensioned state the tether ring is pulled toward a headrest supporting section of the seatback portion inboard and away from the upper outboard side of the seatback portion.
CONTROL METHOD FOR AN ELECTRIC SEATBELT RETRACTOR AND ELECTRIC SEATBELT RETRACTOR
A control method for an electric seatbelt retractor and an electric seatbelt retractor including a spindle (2) and a seatbelt (3) wound thereon, and an electric motor (4) driving the spindle (2) via a rotor (3) in pull-in or in pull-out direction when activated, and a sensor device (10) detecting the movement of the spindle (2), wherein a spring (11) is provided, which is arranged between the spindle (2) and the rotor (3) enabling a relative movement of the spindle (2) to the rotor (3) or to a retractor-fixed part, wherein the electric motor (4) is controlled by a signal of the sensor device (10) generated by the relative movement of the spindle (2) to the rotor (3) or a retractor-fixed part with torsional tensioning or expanding the spring (11).
FOUR-POINT SEATBELT DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE
A four-point seatbelt device for a vehicle including: a left and right pair of lap belts; a left and right pair of shoulder belts connected with the respective lap belts; a front latch portion connecting and disconnecting the left lap belt and left shoulder belt with the right lap belt and right shoulder belt; a retractor capable of taking up and pulling out the belt; a pull-out amount detection section capable of detecting a pull-out amount of the belt from the retractor; and a sitting posture detection section configured to determine the sitting posture of the occupant on the basis of the pull-out amount detected by the pull-out amount detection section, in a case in which a sitting posture of the occupant changes after the occupant sits on the vehicle seat and the front latch portion is connected.
