Seatbelt retractor assembly
A system includes a seatbelt retractor having a spool and a braking claw selectively engageable with the spool. The system includes an actuator designed to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool. The system includes a processor and a memory storing program instructions executable by the processor to actuate the actuator to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool for a threshold amount of time after detecting an impact of a vehicle.
Vehicle and control method
A vehicle comprises a motor configured to wind a seat belt provided in the vehicle; a first detection unit configured to detect a following vehicle while the vehicle is traveling; a second detection unit configured to detect a preceding vehicle while the vehicle is traveling; a determination unit configured to determine a risk that the following vehicle that is detected by the first detection unit will collide with the vehicle; and a control unit configured to control winding of the seat belt by changing a winding speed of the seat belt by the motor in a case when the determination unit determines that there is the risk.
COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A seatbelt retractor for a vehicle interior is disclosed. The retractor may comprise a spool to pretension a belt, a motor, a transmission and a one-way clutch to pretension the belt when the motor drives the spool via the transmission. The one-way clutch may comprise a drive gear rotatable in a first direction to retract the belt and a second direction opposite to the first direction, a driven gear comprising a common axis of rotation with the drive gear, a set of pawls pivotably mounted on the drive gear, and a friction ring frictionally coupled with a stop ring. The drive gear may rotate relative to the friction ring. When the drive gear is in a first position, the set of pawls may be disengaged from the driven gear. When the drive gear is in a second position, the pawls may be engaged with the driven gear.
SEATBELT CONTROL DEVICE
A seatbelt control device includes: a first driving circuit that is configured to drive a motor of a motorized seat belt at a driver seat of a vehicle; a second driving circuit that is configured to drive a motor of a motorized seatbelt at a front passenger seat of the vehicle and a motor of a motorized seatbelt at a rear seat of the vehicle; and a control section that is configured to control the first driving circuit and the second driving circuit in accordance with input signals.
VEHICLE SEATBELT ASSEMBLY
A seatback portion has a tether passageway defined therein from proximate an upper section to proximate a lower section thereof. A seatbelt tether includes a tensioning mechanism, a tether ring and a connecting portion that extends from the tether ring to the tensioning mechanism. The connecting portion extends through the tether passageway with the tether ring located at the upper section outside the seatback portion. The tether ring is shaped and dimension to slide-ably receive a seatbelt. The tensioning mechanism selectively applies tension to the tether ring. In a non-tensioned state the tether ring is movable to an upper outboard side of the seatback portion. In a tensioned state the tether ring is pulled toward a headrest supporting section of the seatback portion inboard and away from the upper outboard side of the seatback portion.
SEAT BELT RETRIEVAL CONTROL DEVICE
There is provided a seat belt retrieval control device including: a drive unit that drives a retrieval of a webbing; and a setting unit that is configured to, when a vehicle attitude is being controlled by an attitude control unit that controls a vehicle attitude, set a retrieval load applied by the drive unit to a predetermined first load, and when the vehicle attitude is not being controlled by the attitude control unit, set the retrieval load to a second load that is greater than the first load.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR FOR A VEHICLE, VEHICLE COMPRISING THE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR AND METHOD FOR REGULATING A SEAT BELT RESTRAINING FORCE AND/OR SEAT BELT TENSIONER FORCE LEVEL
A seat belt retractor is provided for a vehicle and includes a safety seat belt strap for buckling up an occupant on a vehicle seat of the vehicle. The seat belt retractor also includes a regulator for regulating a seat belt restraining force level and/or a seat belt tensioner force level for the safety seat belt strap. A sensor detects restraining and/or tensioning-relevant data. A controller actuates the regulator on the basis of the restraining and/or tensioning-relevant data such that the seat belt retractor generates and/or includes the restraining and/or tensioning-relevant data.
Seat belt device
A seat belt device includes a spindle (11) for retracting a seat belt (13), an electric actuator (55), a pre-tensioner (14) and a power transmission mechanism (20), wherein the power transmission mechanism (20) can reversibly switch the connection and disconnection between the electric actuator (55) and the spindle (11) before the pre-tensioner (14) is activated, while when the pre-tensioner (14) is activated. The power transmission mechanism (20) non-reversibly interrupts the connection between the electric actuator (55) and the spindle (11) via an elastic piece (60) when a torque difference between an actuator-side gear (80) and a spindle-side gear (82) becomes larger than a predetermined value.
WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
A webbing take-up device that includes: a cut-off section that cuts off transmission of rotation load along a rotation force transmission route from a second rotation force transmission mechanism to a spool via a first rotation force transmission mechanism due to the rotation load in a pull-out direction becoming a predetermined value or greater; and a resistance section that resists the rotation load during transmission of the rotation load, and that suppresses transmission of the rotation load along the rotation force transmission route in a case in which the rotation load is less than the predetermined value.
Motorized seat belt system
A motorized seat belt system includes: a spindle around which webbing is wound; an output gear connected to the spindle through a power transmission shaft; a torsion portion provided on the power transmission shaft or the output gear; a motor which transmits rotational power to the spindle; first and second reduction gears which are connected to an output shaft of the motor and transmit rotational power of the motor to the output gear; a first rotation amount detecting sensor that measures a rotation angle and a rotation direction of the power transmission shaft; a second rotation amount detecting sensor that measures a rotation angle and a rotation direction with respect to a rim portion of the first reduction gear; and a controller which controls output of the motor based on detection signals from the first rotation amount detecting sensor and the second rotation amount detecting sensor.
