The present invention relates to a pedestrian recognition apparatus. A pedestrian recognition apparatus may comprises: an image receiving unit configured to sequentially receive a plurality of images from a camera; and a pedestrian determination unit configured to perform a pedestrian candidate object detection process of detecting a pedestrian candidate object from one or more objects in the images, a mobility determination process of determining whether the pedestrian candidate object is moving, using the plurality of images, and setting the pedestrian candidate object to a moving pedestrian candidate object, and a pedestrian possibility determination process of performing a predefined operation on the moving pedestrian candidate object, and setting the moving pedestrian candidate object to a pedestrian when a value calculated through the predefined operation is equal to or more than a threshold value.
INFORMATION DISPLAY DEVICE, INFORMATION DISPLAY METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An information display device includes a surrounding environment detector, a vehicle information acquirer, a predictor, an avoidance path provider, and an information display. The surrounding environment detector detects position relevant information related to a position of at least a surrounding object in a surrounding environment of a vehicle. The vehicle information acquirer detects vehicle information including a speed and a steering direction of the vehicle. The predictor predicts a contact of the vehicle with the surrounding object, based on the position relevant information and the vehicle information. When the predictor has predicted that there is a possibility of the contact of the vehicle with the surrounding object, the avoidance path provider assumes an avoidance path for avoiding the contact, based on the position relevant information and the vehicle information. The information display displays the avoidance path.

A method includes: detecting, by a computer device, a roadside object in a vehicle driver's peripheral view; analyzing, by the computer device, the detected roadside object to assign a level of importance to the object based on predefined levels of importance; and displaying, by the computer device, the roadside object as a semi-transparent object in a display area of a windshield of the vehicle with an indication of the level of importance of the object.

A region in which the grouping is detected is classified as a relevant region.

Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for eliminating an appearance of one or more objects in an environment surrounding a vehicle during operation of the vehicle. A method generally includes detecting the one or more objects in first sensor data collected from first sensors onboard the vehicle, wherein the first sensor data is representative of the environment surrounding the vehicle; receiving, from other vehicles, second sensor data collected from second sensors onboard the other vehicles, wherein the second sensor data is representative of the environment surrounding each of the one or more other vehicles; generating one or more augmented reality images depicting portions of the environment obstructed by the one or more objects in the first sensor data; displaying the one or more augmented reality images in an augmented reality display such that the augmented reality images are positioned to overlay the one or more objects.

A head-up display device displays a virtual image in front of a vehicle, and includes a memory configured to store a program, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the program and perform a process that includes acquiring information related to a target object recognized from image data received from an imaging device that captures a view in front of the vehicle, generating a projection image to be projected as the virtual image, determining a display position of the projection image along a traveling direction of the vehicle, based on the information related to the target object, using the target object as a reference, transforming the projection image into a support image viewed from a predetermined direction, and projecting the support image in front of the vehicle.
