SWITCHABLE WHEEL VIEW MIRRORS
Provided are systems for switchable wheel view mirrors, which can selectively provide views of one or more wheels of a vehicle to, for example, check for obstructions. A system for a switchable wheel view mirror can include an image sensor coupled to a vehicle, a reflective surface, and an actuator. The image sensor can capture an image within a field of view of the image sensor. The reflective surface can be coupled to the actuator which moves the reflective surface between a first position and a second position. In the first position, a view of at least a portion of a wheel of the vehicle is visible within the reflective surface and the reflective surface is disposed at least partially within the field of view of the image sensor. Methods and computer program products are also provided.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and image processing system
Provision of a sense of distance by motion parallax is easily realized. A display image is obtained by superimposing an image showing a vehicle on a captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle. For example, the image showing the vehicle is a computer graphics image. For example, a change is made in a superimposed positional relationship between the captured image and the image showing the vehicle in accordance with motion of a viewpoint of a driver. Since the display image is not only made from the captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle, but the display image is obtained by superimposing the image showing the vehicle on the captured image, it is possible to easily provide a sense of distance by motion parallax.
Image forming device and image forming method
An image acquisition unit acquires camera images obtained by cameras, which are configured to photograph a periphery of the vehicle. An image synthesizing unit projects data of the camera images on a virtual projection surface, which corresponds to the periphery of the vehicle, and forms a synthetic image showing the periphery of the vehicle, which is viewed from a virtual view point, by using the data projected on the projection surface. A travelling-environment determination unit determines whether a travelling environment of the vehicle is an off-road or an on-road based on a signal from an other on-board device of the vehicle. The image synthesizing unit is configured to change a shape of the projection surface, which is for forming the synthetic image, according to whether the travelling-environment determination unit determines that the travelling environment is an off-road.
Vehicle image processing device
A vehicle image processing device includes a camera that images surroundings of a vehicle and outputs video data. An image extraction unit extracts an image from the video data when a predetermined operation for instructing image acquisition is performed, and an image processing unit processes the extracted image in accordance with a field of view of the user in a vehicle interior. A display processing unit and a display device display the processed image on a screen arranged at a position aligned with a line of sight of the user.
VEHICULAR OCCUPANT MONITORING SYSTEM USING CENTRALIZED CAMERA WITH EXPANDED VIEW
A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed within a cabin of a vehicle equipped with the vehicular vision system and positionable to view within an interior cabin of the vehicle and positionable to view exterior of the vehicle through at least one window of the vehicle. The system includes an actuator disposed at the vehicle and electrically operable to rotate the camera about an axis relative to the vehicle. Multiple frames of image data captured by the camera as the camera rotates about the axis are processed at an ECU for a plurality of vehicle functions. Respective frames of image data of the multiple frames of captured image data are processed for respective vehicle functions of the plurality of vehicle functions based on respective viewing directions of the camera when the respective frames of image data are captured by the camera.
CONTROL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A control device includes circuitry configured to: generate a bird’s-eye view image and a three-dimensional image that show a moving body and surroundings of the moving body, based on respective pieces of imaging data obtained by a plurality of imaging devices of the moving body: cause a display device to display the generated bird’s-eye view image and the generated three-dimensional image; and determine whether a predetermined object is present in a boundary region between the respective pieces of imaging data in the bird’s-eye view image and the three-dimensional image. Upon determining that the predetermined object is present in the boundary region, the circuitry is configured to preferentially change the boundary region in the three-dimensional image among the displayed bird’s-eye view image and the displayed three-dimensional image.
A METHOD FOR ADAPTING TO A DRIVER POSITION AN IMAGE DISPLAYED ON A MONITOR
The invention relates to a method and system for adapting to a driver position an image displayed on a monitor in a cab of the vehicle. The invention further relates to a vehicle including such a system. The invention is particularly well suited for heavy-duty vehicles, such as trucks, buses and construction equipment. The invention may also be used in other vehicles such as a car.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING FRONT-ORIENTED VISUAL INFORMATION TO VEHICLE DRIVER
A camera system is installed on the front end of a vehicle, either on the left front, the right front, or both sides. The camera is linked via wired or wireless connection to an onboard computer and a navigation display that is located within the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The driver reviews a visual description on the display of any oncoming traffic in the form of motor vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, animals and the like on the navigation display via a single screen, split screen or alternating screens. The camera system can include a speed sensor that detects when the vehicle reaches a threshold speed to activate or de-activate the camera. Alternatively, the computer can activate the system when a turn signal is activated, and de-activate the system when the turn signal is no longer activated. This camera system can be retrofitted into older vehicles.
VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM WITH ADAPTIVE FIELD OF VIEW
A vehicular vision system includes a camera fixedly mounted at a vehicle. The camera has a central viewing axis that bisects a total available field of view exterior of the vehicle of the camera into an at least 90 degrees zone to the left and to the right of the central viewing axis. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, a video display screen displays video images representative of a reduced field of view of the camera that is less than the total available field of view exterior of the vehicle. During the driving maneuver of the vehicle, and as the steering angle of the vehicle is adjusted toward the right side or left side of the vehicle, the reduced field of view of the camera digitally pans toward the respective right side or left side of the total available field of view exterior of the vehicle of the camera.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a mobile terminal that provides an augmented reality navigation screen in a state of being hold in a vehicle, the mobile terminal including: at least one camera configured to obtain a front image; a display; and at least one processor configured to calibrate the front image, and to drive an augmented reality navigation application so that the augmented reality navigation screen including at least one augmented reality (AR) graphic object and the calibrated front image is displayed on the display.
