Wheel loader
The motor cooling system circulates cooling oil for cooling a motor. A transmission is configured to change a rotation speed ratio of an output shaft with respect to an input shaft by changing a rotation speed of the motor. A transmission case has an output shaft case for housing the output shaft. The output shaft case is positioned forward of the motor and protrudes to a position below the motor. The motor cooling system has a cooling oil tank for storing the cooling oil and a cooling oil pipe which connects a cooling oil tank and the motor. The cooling oil tank is positioned behind the output shaft case and under the motor.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle includes a vehicle body frame, an outer cover, an engine compartment, a cooling compartment, a partition wall, an inverter, and a capacitor. The engine compartment contains an engine. The cooling compartment contains a cooling device. The partition wall separates the cooling compartment from the engine compartment. The inverter and the capacitor are disposed between the partition wall and the cooling device. The inverter is positioned above the capacitor. A length of the capacitor in the vehicle width direction is greater than a length of the inverter in the vehicle width direction. At least one of a first side surface of the outer cover positioned leftwards of the left side surface of the inverter and a second side surface of the outer cover positioned rightwards of a right side surface of the inverter is separated from the inverter by a gap.
COOLING ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR OF A VEHICLE
Various methods and systems are provided for an electric motor arrangement in a chassis of a battery electric vehicle. In one embodiment, a front chassis for a battery electric vehicle comprises a structural frame including two parallel sidewalls and a first portion of a vehicle articulation joint and an electric motor coupled between and in face-sharing contact with each of the two parallel sidewalls.
Control to mitigate operator abuse of drivetrain on grade
A method for mitigating powertrain abuse on a grade can include determining the grade a machine is on, the machine including an impeller clutch located between an engine and a powertrain so as to connect and disconnect engine power from the powertrain; and if the grade is over a threshold, a controller ignores any operator input to the impeller clutch such that machine speed retarding is utilized to keep the machine at a proper speed.
HYDRAULIC DRIVE SYSTEM FOR A POST DRIVER OF A SKID STEER LOADER
A hydraulic system for driving a post driver of a skid steer loader. The hydraulic system includes a master cylinder disposed between a valve, such as a 4-way valve, and the driver cylinder of the post driver. The master cylinder effectively provides that hydraulic fluid from the 4-way valve to the hydraulic system of the skid steer loader can flow freely without needing an auxiliary pump and motor to overcome resistance in the return line back to the skid steer loader hydraulic system. By eliminating the restriction in the return line of the driver cylinder, a very fast retraction can be achieved, improving the impact performance of the system.
Machine power control with ratio increase
A control system for a machine having a power source configured to provide power, a number of implements including a work implement, configured to provide operations, and a number of power transmitting paths configurable to selectively make power available to the implements to perform operations. The control system may include a control arrangement configured to regulate the power source to provide a first level of available power, to configure a first power transmitting path to make a percentage A1 of said first level of power available to provide a first operation, and to configure a second power transmitting path to make a percentage A2 of said first level of power available to provide a second operation, at least the second operation being a work operation. The control arrangement may further be configured to increase said first level of available power of said power source to a second level of available power, to configure the first power transmitting path to make a percentage B1 of said second level op power available to provide said first operation, and to configure the second power transmitting path to make a percentage B2 of said second level of power available to provide said second operation, such that the ratio B2/B1 is greater than the ratio A2/A1.
Work vehicle and control method for work vehicle
A power transmission device of a work vehicle includes a generator, a motor, and an energy storage unit. The energy storage unit stores electricity generated by the generator. A forward/backward travel switch operation device receives an instruction for forward or backward travel from an operator. A vehicle speed detection unit detects the speed of the vehicle. A control unit includes an energy management requirement determination unit. The energy management requirement determination unit determines, on the basis of the difference between a target electricity storage amount and a current electricity storage amount in the energy storage unit, the energy management required power required by the power transmission device for charging the energy storage unit. The energy management requirement determination unit increases the target electricity storage amount when a first travel direction according to the instruction and a second travel direction determined from the vehicle speed are different.
Mining machine and energy storage system for same
A mobile mining machine includes a plurality of traction elements, a plurality of motors, a power source in electrical communication with the plurality of motors, and an energy storage system in electrical communication with the plurality of motors and the power source. Each of the motors is coupled to an associated one of the plurality of traction elements. Each of the motors is driven by the associated traction element in a first mode, and drives the associated traction element in a second mode. The energy storage system includes a shaft, a rotor secured to the shaft, a stator extending around the rotor, and a flywheel coupled to the shaft for rotation therewith. In the first mode, rotation of the motors causes rotation of the flywheel to store kinetic energy. In the second mode, rotation of the rotor and the flywheel discharges kinetic energy to drive the motors.
Electric drivetrain system and method having a single speed ratio direct drive
A machine having a series electric drivetrain system includes an engine to provide mechanical energy to an electric generator, the electric generator able to convert the mechanical energy received from the engine into electrical energy, the electric generator including an input shaft extending through the electric generator, a rotor to rotate on the input shaft, and the input shaft is able to rotate an input gear, an idler gear, a pump drive gear, and a rotor gear, a motor to receive the electrical energy and to produce a rotational output, a single speed ratio direct drive to transfer the rotational output of the motor to a torque output to deliver to a drive shaft, and power electronics to control the electrical energy between the electric generator and the motor and to regulate the rotational output of the motor.
