A track roller for an undercarriage system includes a roller shell with a first inner surface forming a larger diameter shaft bore and a second inner surface forming a smaller diameter shaft bore coaxially arranged with the larger diameter shaft bore. A roller shaft having a first shaft end and a second shaft end supports the roller shell for rotation and has an oil reservoir formed therein. A first sleeve bearing and a second sleeve bearing are positioned upon the roller shaft, and an axially extending oil passage is formed by the second inner surface of the roller shell forming the smaller diameter shaft bore and an outer bearing surface of the second sleeve bearing. The oil reservoir in the roller shaft is confined in its extent to the second shaft end of the roller shaft.

The track roller rim may include a first annular inner member, where the first annular inner member is interference fit within the inner circumference of the outer member at the first axial end. The track roller rim may include a second annular inner member, where the second annular inner member is interference fit within the inner circumference of the outer member at the second axial end.

A track-module apparatus comprising: (a) idler-arm axle structure for a vehicle and having leading and trailing idler-arm axles; (b) a leading idler arm rotatably attached to the leading idler-arm axle and extending forwardly to a leading-arm distal end at which a leading ground-engaging idler wheel is rotatably attached and rearwardly to a rearward suspension end; (c) a trailing idler arm rotatably attached to the trailing idler-arm axle and extending rearwardly to a trailing-arm distal end at which a trailing ground-engaging idler wheel is rotatably attached and forwardly to a forward suspension end; (d) bogie-axle structure (i) affixed to one of the idler arms, (ii) having at least one bogie-arm axle, and (iii) positioning the at least one bogie-arm axle adjacent to and below the idler-arm axle of the idler arm to which it is affixed; (e) leading-arm and trailing-arm suspension elements rotatably attached to and extending downwardly from the rearward and forward suspension ends, respectively, and each having a lower end; (f) front and rear bogie connecting arms rotatably attached to the front and rear axles, respectively, and extending forwardly and rearwardly to rotatable attachments at the leading-arm and trailing-arm suspension-element lower ends, respectively; (g) front and rear ground-engaging bogie-wheel sets rotatably attached to distal ends of the front and rear bogie connecting arms, respectively; and (h) an endless track extending around the wheels.

Leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies are mounted on the frame. An endless track having an inner surface is disposed around the drive wheel, the leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies. The endless track has an unsupported portion between the drive wheel and one of the leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies. The unsupported portion has a length and a center. The unsupported portion deflects a distance of between 8% and 12% of its length on application of a 25-lb. force at its center.
