Semisubmersible with five-sided columns
A semi-submersible vessel comprises pontoons having a generally five-sided transverse cross section. In the case of a 4-sided semi-submersible, the columns may be arranged in a generally rectangular form with a column at each corner of the rectangular form, each column having with four sides disposed at a right angle to at least one adjacent side and a fifth side on the exterior of the generally rectangular form disposed at 45 degrees to each adjacent side.
WIND TRACING, ROTATIONAL, SEMI-SUBMERGED RAFT FOR WIND POWER GENERATION AND A CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed are a semi-submersible raft wind power generation unit and a construction method therefor. The raft wind power generation unit includes at least three floaters (12) and at least three wind turbines (21) configured to be placed on the floaters (12). The raft is configured to turn about a vertical axis and be fixed to a seabed (2) by a mooring line (36). A force resultant from an incoming wind load passes closely around the center of geometry of the raft, which is a distance away from the center of rotation of the raft so that a yaw moment about the center of rotation is created that rotates the raft until the force resultant passes through the center of geometry and center of rotation
Articulated multiple buoy marine platform apparatus and method of installation
A marine platform (and method of installation) provides a plurality of buoys of special configuration, a platform having a peripheral portion that includes a plurality of attachment positions, one attachment position for each buoy, and an articulating connection that connects each buoy to the platform at a respective attachment position, the connection allowing for sea state induced buoy motions while minimizing effect on the platform. A method of installation places the platform (including oil and gas drilling and/or production facility) next to the buoys. Ballasting moves the platform and buoys relative to one another until connections are perfected between each buoy and the platform.
MARINE STRUCTURE PLATFORM HAVING MOVEMENT DAMPING FUNCTION AND SUBMERSIBLE MARINE STRUCTURE HAVING SAME
The present invention provides a marine structure platform including: horizontal connecting parts which are disposed under the seawater and connected to one another in a lattice structure; vertical connecting parts which are installed uprightly at four corners of the horizontal connecting parts and protrude from the seawater; and movement damping parts which are extended at the four corners from the vertical connecting parts along the horizontal connecting parts adjacent to one another, the movement damping parts having a plate shape so as to define a vertical gap therebetween.
Ocean platform
A floating ocean platform stabilized in position by energy produced from wave energy. In one embodiment, the platform may be used to support a roadway to build a floating bridge. The platform may also include a wave break mechanism for additional stability and may submerge for storm survival. The platform may be constructed in modules to permit reconfiguration and management of resources. In other embodiments, the platform may support communities. The bridge may also provide transmission lines for conducting wave generated electricity back to the mainland.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS ASSOCIATED WITH HYBRID FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND TURBINE (FOWT) PLATFORM AND SYNTACTIC BUOYANCY MATERIAL USED FOR THE PERIMETER COLUMNS
A hybrid floating offshore wind turbine energy conversion system using light weight solid syntactic buoyancy material columns for offshore application. Each wind turbine includes a deep draft Spar hull combined with several semi-submersible syntactic columns for extra buoyancy and stabilization.
Platform for floating type offshore structure having protrusion member and semi-submersible offshore structure including the same
A platform for a semi-submersible floating type offshore structure according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a main body which is installed on the sea and has an arrangement structure in which a plurality of pontoons is combined to form a plurality of polygonal shapes; and a protrusion member connecting unit which extends from each corner of the main body and connects a protrusion member outwardly protruding from the main body to the main body.
WIDTH-ADJUSTABLE PACKAGING BAG SHAPER, BAG MAKER, PACKAGING MACHINE AND METHOD
A width-adjustable packaging bag shaper, a bag maker, a packaging machine, and a method. The packaging machine including the bag maker, a traction device and a heat sealing device are respectively arranged above the bag maker, and a width adjustment device adjusts the distances between different sub bottom plates in a front bottom plate and a rear bottom plate by using a leadscrew and slide block mechanism, and then adjusts the width of a bottom plate. The leadscrew and slide block mechanism is used as the width adjustment device of the automatic width-adjustable noodle packaging bag shaper system, and four bottom plates are respectively fixed to the width adjustment device, so the leadscrew and slide block mechanism in operation is accurate in range of adjustment, is suitable for various widths of packaging bags, and has very important significance for the three-dimensional shaping effect of the packaging bags.
Operations Vessel for the Maintenance, Installation and/or Disassembly of Offshore Structures
The invention relates to an operations vessel for the maintenance, installation and/or disassembly of offshore structures, comprising: a hull equipped with ballast means connected to a control system; at least one working platform supported on the hull by means of one or more support elements; and at least one system for coupling to an offshore structure, wherein said coupling system can adopt, at least, a state in which it is coupled to said offshore structure and a state in which it is not coupled to said offshore structure. Advantageously, the control system and the coupling system are configured in a cooperating manner, in order to adopt at least two working positions of the vessel, wherein the hull adopts an above-water state with the coupling system decoupled, and at least a second working position wherein the hull adopts a submerged state in which the coupling system is coupled to the offshore structure.
TUNED MASS DAMPER FOR FLOATING STRUCTURES
A tuned mass damper (TMD) system in combination with a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) platform includes a barge type FOWT platform having a hull configured to have a wind turbine tower mounted thereon. A TMD system is mounted in the hull and has a first TMD configured to operate at a first frequency, and a second TMD configured to operate at a second frequency different than the first frequency.
