PACKAGING UNIT MOULDED FROM PULP MATERIALS WITH IMPROVED VENTILATION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A packaging unit from a moulded pulp material and a manufacturing method therefor. The packaging unit comprises a bottom part with product receiving compartments and a number of cones that are provided between the compartments, a cover part, a hinge configured for hingedly connecting the bottom part with the cover part, and ventilation bridges formed into the bottom part between adjacent product receiving compartments. The ventilation bridges provide void spaces in a bottom surface of the bottom part and allow for the continuous flow of air through the bottom part of the packaging unit.
EGG CARTON AND FORMATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An egg carton and method and apparatus for forming an egg carton. A main body of the egg carton may be made of a single sheet of material and folded or otherwise bent to form the majority of the carton's interior space. Partition walls may be engaged with slots formed in the main body to define separate storage areas of the interior space as well as help hold the main body in the desired configuration. Hooks on the sides of the partition walls may engage with openings in the main body to secure the main body to the partition walls.
PACKAGING UNIT WITH COUNTER-EMBOSSED LABEL, AND METHOD FOR PACKING PRODUCTS
The present specification relates to a packaging unit with a label for products like eggs, and a method there for. The packaging unit according to the present specification comprises a bottom part made of moulded pulp provided with compartments for individual products and comprising a first locking element; a cover part made of moulded pulp comprising top, front, side and rear surfaces with the front surface comprising a second locking element configured for defining a lock with the first locking element in a closed state of the packaging unit; and a label provided on the packaging unit with the label comprising an embossing, with the embossing further comprising a counter-embossing.
Egg carton with diagonal lid panel
A plastic egg carton having features that enable aligning and stacking of multiple cartons for transport, and providing easy-to-view print and labeling areas in multiple directions. In one embodiment, the egg carton has a unique lid including a flat diagonal stacking panel (also referred to as a diagonal lid panel) that extends between two opposing corners of the rectangular shaped carton. The top wall of the diagonal lid panel can receive labeling or printing. The diagonal lid panel also includes a sidewall extending downwardly from the top wall toward a bottom perimeter edge of the lid, the sidewall having at each of the two opposing corners at least one flat side panel that can also receive printing or labeling. In one embodiment, each of the opposing corners includes a rounded corner portion and two flat side panels disposed on either side of the rounded corner, thus providing a total of four side viewing areas (each in a different direction) for labeling or printing, enabling the consumer to view information such as egg size, date, nutritional information, retail information, or UPC labels.
PACKAGING UNIT FROM A MOULDED PULP MATERIAL WITH A SELF-ALIGNING ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH PACKAGING UNIT
The present invention relates to a packaging unit (2) from a moulded pulp material, a method for packing products, and a method for manufacturing such packaging units. The packaging unit comprises: a bottom part (4) with product receiving compartments for holding respective products, with the bottom part at least having a bottom front (8), a bottom rear (14), and two bottom sides (10, 12); a cover part (6) at least having a cover front (20), a cover top (18), and two cover sides (22, 24); a hinge-element (28) for hingedly connecting the cover and bottom parts; anda lock (30) for locking the bottom and cover parts in a closed position of the packaging unit, and wherein the bottom side and cover side comprise a side edge having a self-aligning element (56).
EGG CARTON THAT IS TAMPER EVIDENT
The present invention provides an egg carton having a tamper evident locking mechanism, and a process for making a tamper evident carton. The carton provides, in various embodiments, a simplified construction with a tamper evident locking mechanism that both resists inadvertent opening, and once opened, alters the appearance or integrity of the carton itself.
CONTAINER TRIM CONFIGURATION
To guard against injury to persons engaging the trim edges of a hinged container, a protective flap extends from the lid on either end of the axial hinge. The flaps extend from the corners of the lid adjacent respective trim edges of the hinge. The flaps have a rounded bottom portion which is extended past the axial hinge line. The curved structure of the protective flaps helps to gently deflect objects, such as fingers, away from any sharply angled trim edges of the hinge, thereby guarding handlers from accidental injury.
Display and distribution package for eggs
A package for eggs having a bottom part, a cover part and upwardly extending retainment projections cooperating with apertures in the cover part. A pillow post may be formed between neighboring egg receiving compartments of the package. The retainment projections and corresponding apertures may be constructed so as to not be aligned after a molding process but then aligned after a subsequent drying process. The retainment projections may cooperate with apertures in the cover part including engaging a tongue located at the bottom of the apertures.
Package for eggs
The invention pertains to an egg package comprising: a bottom part (4) formed by suction molding of a fibrous material, the bottom part (4) comprising a rear side (28), a front side (30), two end sides (32), and a plurality of egg-receiving compartments (34) having non-planar side surfaces (35) so as to match at least partially the outer contours of an egg, the plurality of compartments (34) being arranged in at least two parallel rows with upwardly extending projections (36) located between the rows of compartments (34), a cover part (6) comprising two substantially planar end surfaces (10), substantially planar rear (48) and front surfaces (12), and a substantially planar top surface (14), said cover part (6) being formed by cardboard and connected to the bottom part (4) via an elongated flap (40) extending from the rear side (28) of the bottom part (4), said elongated flap (40) being provided with a weakening in the transition between said elongated flap (40) and rear side (28) of the bottom part (4), said weakening forming a hinge (50) so as to allow the cover part (6) to move between an open position and a closed position, said elongated flap (40) at least in part overlapping the inner side (42) of said rear surface (48) of the cover part (6), said bottom part (4) comprising a retainment flap (44) hinged to the front side (30) of the bottom part (4), said retainment flap (44) comprising at least one outwardly extending retainment projection (26) for locking engagement with one or more co-operating apertures (46) in the front surface (12) of the cover part (6), said cover part (6) further comprising a substantially flat display surface (16) formed in the region between the top surface (14) and front surface (12) of the cover part (6), said substantially flat display surface (16) meeting the top surface (14) at a first obtuse angle, thereby forming a first edge (18), and said substantially flat display surface (16) meeting the front surface (12) at a second obtuse angle, thereby forming a second edge (20).
