Closure member for a food container
A closure member for a food container including a multilayer laminate having a first layer of material at least partly light-permeable, a second layer of plastic material, a third layer of repositionable adhesive material interposed between the first and the second layer, at least one inner weakening line obtained on the second layer and extending according to a predetermined geometry defining, in use, an access gap to the container, at least one outer weakening line, obtained on the second layer, proximal to the peripheral edge with respect to the inner weakening line at least at the hand gripping portion, wherein the second layer has a predetermined graphic pattern printed or realised on at least one of its faces.
PORTABLE SANITIZING CONTAINER
A portable sanitizing container; the portable sanitizing container includes a container having a body, a lid having an aperture, a rubber flap covering the aperture and having a series of slits, and an inner volume housing an elongated sponge impregnated with a liquid disinfectant. The elongated sponge is configured to disperse the liquid disinfectant along an outer surface of an item to substantially disinfect an outer surface of the item. The container is configured to receive an item such as a handheld utensil through the aperture, the rubber flap, and the elongated sponge respectively and sanitize the item as the at least one item is inserted and removed from the container. The portable sanitizing container may be beneficial for use by a user to eliminate pathogens, germs and harmful bacteria on shared utensils.
User-friendly tamper-resistant/tamper-evident container-seal system for containers of consumer goods and methods of use
The inventive disclosures described herein pertain to an improved tamper-resistant/tamper-evident (TE) seal for containers of consumer/commercial product-containment vessels (such as, for example, prescription bottles, condiment bottles, etc.) that enables a user, and in particular older persons, to better grip and/or exert leverage to more-easily and reliably open such containers. In one embodiment of the improved TE seal, a typical prior-art seal configuration that features an inner seal with a small overlapping flexible pull-tab layer is improved by affixing the pull-tab to another substantially rigid upper layer such that a user can insert the pull-tab member between two of the user's fingers wherein the two user fingers are also disposed between the inner seal and the substantially rigid upper layer such that a user can more easily exert leverage/force to open the container that employs the tamper-resistant seal. This configuration is generally referred to as a “T-tab” configuration.
PACKAGING WITH SEPARABLE LINER AND LIDDING
A packaging assembly for holding contents is provided. The packaging assembly includes a self-supporting liner having a wall that encloses sides and bottom of an interior of the liner and defines an open top end of the liner, and a rim that projects outwardly from the wall proximal to the open top end. The packaging assembly also includes a lidding assembly including a cover region and a destructible seal region that seals the cover region to the liner extending over and closing the liner open top. The destructible cover region is weaker than the liner and the cover region so that detachment of the cover region from the liner causes the destructible seal region to fail. The lidding assembly includes a first lidding material having a center portion and an outer portion that surrounds the center portion.
OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE FOR A CONTAINER POURABLE PRODUCTS
An opening/closing device for a container for pourable products is disclosed. The device includes a collar combinable with the container at a perforable portion thereof, a moveable cap by a first guiding means, which are interposed between the cap and the collar, on the outer surface of the collar, and a cutting element constrainedly movable by second guiding means, which are interposed between the cutting element and the collar. Inside the collar, the device has pushing means for the cutting element, which are actuated by the cap during its first displacement on the outer surface of the collar, for promoting the displacement inside the collar of the cutting element in the direction of the perforable portion. The cap is also has a through hole for pouring product and a lid adapted to seal, or open, the passage of the through hole.
CONTAINER CONNECTORS
There is disclosed a connector system for connecting a plurality of containers together, for example drinks containers. The container system includes first and second-type connectors. Each of the connectors includes a ring defining an interior space, a platform extending from the ring into the interior space, an upstanding blade carried by the platform, and a membrane extending adjacent, over or across the interior space. Each connector may further includes one or more connection members to permit a positive mechanical connection of the first connector to the second connector such that the connection causes the blade of one connector to pierce the membrane of the other connector, and to permit subsequent relative rotation of the connectors.
Packaging container with stacking members
A lid component for a paperboard packaging container, the lid component comprising a lid part and a connecting part, the lid part comprising a top portion and a side wall portion, the top portion having an outer lid surface, an inner lid surface opposite to the outer lid surface, and a peripheral edge surrounding the outer lid surface; and the connecting part comprising an upper portion and a lower portion and having a lower edge surface. Stacking members are arranged on the outer lid surface and comprise a lid component stacking step and a container stacking step, the lid component stacking step being arranged laterally outboard and below the container stacking step. The lower portion of the connecting part is adapted to be supported by the lid component stacking step. A lid component comprising a locking arrangement and paperboard packaging container comprising a lid component are also disclosed.
Aroma penetration heat seal liner and method of sealing a container
A non-venting one-piece, partially perforated multilayer induction heat seal liner for a container that allows an aroma or scent from a solid substance within the sealed container to permeate through the liner, while preventing leakage and/or physical contact of the substance by the consumer. The liner includes a partial perforation extending completely through a metal foil layer, and leaving an un-perforated thickness in a paper layer. The partial perforation will allow a prospective customer to sniff the scent or aroma released through the partial perforation, while the liner remains secured to the container, extending shelf life of the substance, and preventing leakage, as well as, contamination, damage and/or reduced volume caused by consumers sampling the substance/product within the container.
CONTAINER WITH PAPERBOARD OUTER LAYER AND THIN PLASTIC FOIL INNER LAYER
A container comprising a bottom and a sidewall extending upwards from the bottom and terminating at an upper free edge, said upper free edge of the sidewall forming an opening of the container, said sidewall and said bottom comprising an outer paperboard layer and a thin inner plastic foil layer, formed in a thermoforming operation, said upper free edge of the sidewall comprising a rim portion extending past the outer surface of the paperboard layer of the sidewall. The rim portion comprises a rolled up portion of an upper portion of the outer paperboard layer of the sidewall, said rolled up portion being covered by a portion of the thin inner plastic foil layer. In this way, a stiff upper rim is provided, while allowing the use of a very thin inner plastic foil layer.
Two-Piece Child Resistant Container Lid with Push-Release Latch Arrangement
A child resistant lid features first and second lid components for covering respective fractions of a container opening. One or more latch arrangements releasably latch the components together in a closed state over the container opening, and each feature a latch hole defined in one of the components, and a latch tongue affixed to the other component. The tongue is sized and oriented to reach a position neighbouring the latch hole when said first and second lid components are mated together in the closed state. A catch button disposed on the latch tongue juts from a side thereof at a position that aligns with the latch hole in the closed state of the lid. The tongue is resiliently flexible in a bending direction, and resiliently biased into a default position that biases the catch button into the latch hole when the lid components are mated together.
