Container with child-resistant lid release and microdosing
10850897 · 2020-12-01 · ·

A container tin includes a container base with one or more storage compartments for ingestible products, and a reclosable lid with child-resistant (CR) features. The container incorporates mechanisms for creating and storing microdoses of edibles or medicaments. The CR reclosable container contains closure mechanisms, such as a latching pin and catch assembly, that present difficulties to a child attempting to open the container but that a properly trained adult can operate without undue problems to open the container. The container includes a cutter at the lid and a cutting support assembly at the base. A user places a product on the cutting support assembly, then closes the container lid to cut the product in two. This procedure can be used with cannabis products or similar psychoactive products to create microdoses below a threshold quantity that creates a perceptible psychoactive effect in the user.

Flat pack ramp lever

A package comprises a latch including first and second legs and an actuating portion. The first and second legs are joined at an angle. The actuator portion of the first leg is positioned to be displaced generally laterally to displace the second leg generally longitudinally to release the latch. In another embodiment the package has base wells on the inside surface. A generally flat marginal sealing surface encircles the first and second base wells. The wells of the base and/or lid are covered with a cover sheet to close them. Still another embodiment is a child-resistant container comprising a shell, two drawers, a stop, and a latch. The drawers are prevented from sliding apart past a limit of travel when one drawer is open sufficiently to provide access to its contents and the other drawer is not.

PLASTIC ENCLOSURE FOR ENCLOSING INDUSTRIAL COMPONENTS

The invention relates to a plastic enclosure for enclosing industrial components. The enclosure comprises a case (2), a lid (9), and a latch device (13) for locking the lid to the case. The lid (9) has a grip means formed as a rigid lug (14) molded to be monolithic with the lid (9), the lug comprising a throughhole (19) to which a hook portion (17) of a rocker (15) can grip. The lug (14) is arranged, in the closed position of the lid, to extend over and at a distance from the second wall (7) to be substantially in parallel with a wall of the case to limit an intermediate space between the wall (7) and the lug (14) when the lid is in the closed position. The hook portion (17) is arranged so that, in the release position (II) of the rocker (15), it is turned inside the intermediate space away from the path of the lug (14) and, in the locking position (I) of the rocker, the hook portion is turned to protrude laterally outwards through the through-hole (19) of the lug (14) and to compress the sealing gasket (12) by pressing the sealing flange (8) against the sealing gasket (12) to create a spring force against which the hook portion holds the lug (14). The output force of the hook portion (17) exerted to the lug (14) is amplified by a mechanical advantage provided by a lever effect of the rocker (15) when being turned to the locking position by an input force exerted to the handle arm (18).

Securable sampling port for an insulated container

Apparatus and installation methods for sampling ports are disclosed. Sampling ports include a port housing and a lid assembly. The lid assembly is configured to sealably close against the port housing. Additionally, the lid assembly can be secured, such as with a lock, to the port housing. In one aspect, the port housing includes a sample mount arrangement configured to receive a sampling assembly. The sample mount arrangement defines a sampling channel and the port housing defines a sampling opening and a first securing mount. The lid assembly includes a latch arrangement and defines a second securing mount.

Lid assembly for container

Lid assembly for a container includes a frame having a frame latching member extending therefrom, the frame latching member including a frame projection, an inner panel hingedly coupled to the frame along a first longitudinal side thereof and movable between a closed position and an open position, the inner panel including a panel latching member extending therefrom, the inner panel defining an orifice extending between the bottom surface and the top surface, the panel latching member including a biasing member having a panel projection, the frame projection and the panel projection being lockable when the inner panel is in the closed position and the frame projection is disposed between a base of the biasing member and the panel projection when the inner panel is in the closed position, and a cover panel hingedly coupled to the frame along a second longitudinal side thereof opposite the first longitudinal side.

Packaging container with rim and lid

A paperboard packaging container for bulk solids includes a container body having a container wall extending from a container bottom edge to a container body opening and having an inner surface facing an inner compartment in the packaging container, and a lid for closing the container body opening. An upper reinforcing rim is applied at the container body opening and extends along the opening edge, defining a perimeter of a container access opening and is joined to the inner surface of the container wall by means of a weld seal which extends around the container body opening and has an upper edge including a first abutment surface arranged to abut against a second abutment surface on an inner lid surface with the lid in a closed position on the container access opening and form a tight seal between the rim and the lid with the lid in the closed position.

A CLOSURE

A flip-top dispensing closure is provided. The closure comprises a base and a lid. The base is attachable to a container neck and includes an integral spout. The lid comprises a fixing ring and a cap. The fixing ring is attachable to the base and the cap is hingedly attached to the ring. The closure is provided with tamper-evident means comprising first and second parts which are initially frangibly connected to each other within the lid, and upon first opening of the cap the first and second parts are separated, one of the parts being retained by the cap and the other of the parts dropping onto the base.

Dispensing Tub with Spreader/Retainer Ribs on the Cover
20200231344 · 2020-07-23 ·

A dispensing tub with a lid/cover having a pair of spreader/retainer ribs. On the cover side, the spreader/retainer ribs increase the opening degree of the spring clip latches. The spring clip latches collide with the spreader/retainer ribs before the latches reach their default final position. As the lid hook reaches the spring clip assembly through the gap between the spreader/retainer ribs, the gap is larger than the width of lid hook for proper lid release and lid locking. The spreader/retainer ribs are located on top of spring clip assembly, when the spring clip assembly opens and move upward, the spring clip latches will collide with spreader/retainer ribs and the opening path of latches are guided by the spreader/retainer ribs. The spreader/retainer ribs force the spring clip latches to open with an opening degree that is larger than default to release lid hook.
