10968058 · 2021-04-06 ·

The present invention is a new apparatus to efficiently reclaim cement from a horizontal warehouse. This new reclaiming apparatus combines a mechanical cement reclaiming machine, a U Reclaimer Utility Device Apparatus, together with a reduced amount of open air slides, cement is pushed by a rotating chain with rakes on said reclaiming machine, cement is further fluidized through a porous media with low pressure air, cement flow is achieved by sloping said air slides to match the fluidized angle of repose of the powdered material. Further, the present invention introduces a conveying system, composed by a cascade of enclosed air slides and elevator machines, to convey the cement from the reclaiming area to the dispatch hopper. The introduction of these components, together with traditional cement stacking methods and dispatch systems, provides for a highly efficient manner of storing and reclaiming material from a horizontal storage facility.

A Method of Calibrating a Meter Module Comprising an Auger
20230403970 · 2023-12-21 ·

A method of calibrating a metering system having a plurality of meter modules. Each of the meter modules includes an auger in communication with a product, the auger is driven by an electric motor. The method includes loading the auger with the product, discharging a metered quantity of the product from the auger by actuating the electric motor to drive the auger at a predetermined rotational speed for a predetermined number of auger revolutions. The discharged metered quantity of the product is captured with the capture structure. A load cell generates a signal magnitude correlating a known mass to obtain a derived mass value. A controller calculates a mass per auger revolution (MPR) value. The MPR values of each of the plurality of meter modules is summed and stored in memory. A derived application rate is calculated and compared to the derived application rate.

Screw conveyor to convey powdery material, in particular cement or the like

A screw conveyor to convey powdery material, in particular cement. The screw conveyor comprises: a transfer screw; and a trough containing the transfer screw; the trough being provided with an inlet section and an outlet section of the powdery material. The screw conveyor is characterized in that the screw comprises: at least a first screw portion having a first law of continuous variation of the pitches of the screw, which can be graphically represented by means of a first function having in at least one stretch a first derivative other than zero; and at least a second screw portion having a second law of continuous variation of the pitches of the screw, which can be graphically represented by a second function having in at least one stretch a first derivative other than zero. The first law of continuous variation of the pitches is different from the second law of continuous variation of the pitches.

System for conveying pasty material
10717612 · 2020-07-21 · ·

A system for conveying pasty material through a conduit has an eccentric screw pump having a stator, a rotor that rotates in the stator, a housing with an intake port, and an output port connected to the conduit. A drive rotates the rotor and thereby draws the pasty material in through the intake port and expels the drawn-in material as a compressed-material strand into the conduit. A valve supplies gas pulses to the conduit at time intervals for separating the compressed-material strand into material plugs of limited length traveling through the conduit.

A cyclone type receiver can be used in a pneumatic conveyor system for accurately delivering a wide variety of particulate materials. A receiver may include a cylindrical body configured to hold a filter. The top end of the cylindrical body may include an air inlet for receiving a ducted air stream filled with a particulate material, and may be configured to convey the ducted air stream helically toward a conical section attached to the cylindrical section. The conical section may be configured to route the ducted air in a helical manner to remove the particulate material from the ducted air. In such a configuration, the filter and the conical section may remove particulate material, thereby preferably increasing the transfer accuracy of the system and reducing the footprint of a traditional pneumatic conveyor system.
