An apparatus and method for inflating fishing bait is disclosed. The apparatus is comprised of a compressible air reservoir, and needle, wherein a distal end of the needle is operably coupled to the compressible air reservoir. A proximal end of the needle terminates in a dull hollow rectangular prism. There is a continuous air passage between the dull hollow rectangular prism of the needle and the compressible air reservoir. The compressible air reservoir has a vent such that it can refill with air while the continuous air passage through the needle is obstructed. The vent can be covered up by a hand of a user when the apparatus is in use.

Fish attractants comprising one or more liver derivative compounds, e.g., water-extract of dried beef liver or a bile salt, and one or more amino acids selected from the group consisting of alanine, arginine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline and taurine. nucleosides, fish oils, are useful as water solutions or in dried form. Water solutions can be dispensed from drip bags onto a water surface to attract fish to the vicinity of the drip bag. for fishing aids in drip bag application, as solids for tea bag applications or as chum blocks. Solutions of fish attractant can be dried to a powder or combined in a solid form that can be dissolved or dispersed when presented in fishing waters.

A fish attractant dispersal apparatus may comprise a dispersal pouch encompassing fish attractant. The dispersal pouch may comprise a water-soluble material configured to dissolve in water to release the fish attractant. The dispersal pouch may define an attractant cavity configured to encompass and seal the fish attractant. The attractant cavity may be sealed to at least partially reduce air trapped within the attractant cavity. The attractant cavity may be sealed to remove air within the attractant cavity.

A bait holder includes a multi-purpose lid that has a sliding portion operable to both cut and enclose bait within a bait container.

A tool for injecting prepared bait into an artificial fishing lure having a handle with a generally linear upper portion and a punch tube moveably engaged with the upper portion for movement between a retracted position and an extended position to bore the fishing lure, receive bait in the tube, and inject bait into the bored fishing lure.

A minnow capturing system includes a tubular member that has an open first end, an open second end and a perimeter wall having a plurality of elongated slits. The slits expose portions of a minnow held within the tubular member such that a hook can extend through the slits and through the minnow. A housing for holding minnows and water has a bottom wall and a peripheral wall. The peripheral wall includes a front wall, a rear wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. A juncture is defined where the bottom wall meets the first side wall. The interior surface of the first side wall is concavel arcuate from the front wall to the rear wall. The tubular member is positionable against the juncture such that a minnow in the housing swims into the second end.

A device to cut and store bait, the device having a base including a floor and a wall extending upward from a perimeter of the floor, a recess extending from an upper edge of the wall, a lid configured to fit in register with the upper edge of the wall so as to form an enclosure with the base when the device is closed, and a cutting member extending from the lid and configured to be positioned adjacent the recess when the device is closed so as to substantially block access to the enclosure through the recess, wherein the cutting member is configured so as to move through an area adjacent and axial to the recess when the lid is being closed.

A bait holder includes a multi-purpose lid that has a sliding portion operable to both cut and enclose bait within a bait container.

A bait cutting and crab measuring apparatus that combines a bait cutting device with a crab measuring device. The apparatus includes a bait-cutting channel and a crab-measuring panel. The bait-cutting channel includes first wall, a second wall, a base panel, a first plurality of segment cuts, and a second plurality of segment cuts. The crab-measuring panel can be used to visually and standardly measure various types and sizes of crabs. The first wall and the second wall can be used as a protective handle from the claws of crabs when measuring a crab with the crab-measuring panel. The base panel provides a platform for the bait that is placed inside the bait-cutting channel. The first plurality of segment cuts and the second plurality of segment cuts allow the user to cut the bait inside the bait cutting channel at an angle allowing the bait to spin when on a hook.

A fishing bait cartridge speed loader includes a body along an axis comprising an inlet and an outlet; a multiple of bait orientation feeder channels within the inlet to the body; and a bait cartridge receipt member adjacent to the outlet to receive a bait cartridge along the axis such that each of the multiple of bait orientation feeder channels are aligned with at least one of a multiple of bait cells within the bait cartridge.
