Apparatus for dispensing flowable media and a method for operating an apparatus for dispensing flowable media
An apparatus for spraying flowable media and in particular plant protection agents onto plants, has at least a first spray unit and a second spray unit wherein each of the spray units has a tubular conduit unit that extends in a predetermined longitudinal direction and is suitable and intended for conducting a flowable plant protection agent, and wherein each of the spray units has at least one spray head that is in flow communication with the conduit unit associated therewith
The spray units are provided in a pivotable manner in relation to a predetermined pivot axis on a carrier, and the apparatus has an adjustment unit that allows both the first spray unit and the second spray unit to be pivoted between a working position and an idle position.
Adjustable row unit and agricultural vehicle with adjustable row unit
In accordance with one embodiment, a row unit for an agricultural vehicle comprises an upper carriage that is movable or slidable with respect to a generally horizontal beam of the vehicle. The row unit has vertical supports, where each vertical support has an upper end connected to the upper carriage and a lower end opposite the upper end. The row unit further comprises a lower carriage that is connected to the lower end of the vertical supports, such that the upper carriage determines a lateral position of the lower carriage with respect to the beam.
Integrated lighting system in a carbon fiber boom and method thereof
A spray boom includes a body having a length defined between a first end and a second end thereof. The body is formed by a plurality of layers of composite material adapted to be molded together to form an inner surface and an outer surface. An internal cavity is defined in the body internally of the inner surface. A light-emitting system is integrally formed in the body in an outer layer thereof or at a location between the inner surface and the outer surface. The light-emitting downsystem has an on state and an off state in which it is adapted to emit a light when in the on state.
BOOM MOUNTED SPRAY NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH MULTI CHECK VALVE COMPACT DESIGN
A liquid spraying system having an elongated liquid supply boom and a plurality of spray nozzle assemblies. The spray nozzle assemblies have a compact design with a nozzle body having a liquid inlet and a first spray nozzle carrying liquid outlet section on opposite upper and lower sides, second and third spray nozzle carrying liquid outlet sections disposed in transverse relation to the supply boom; and first and second check valve supporting sections disposed parallel to the liquid supply boom. A first of check valves is operable for controlling liquid flow from the supply boom to one or both of the second and third spray nozzles, and a second check valve is operable for controlling liquid flow from said liquid inlet to said first spray nozzle. The illustrated check valves are operable in response to the pressure of the supply liquid.
System for growing plants and method of operation thereof
A system for growing plants, the system may include a substrate having one or more weakened areas or openings: one or more grow portions coupled to the substrate and situated at the one or more weakened areas or openings and having at least one seed or plant; and/or a fluid distribution portion coupled to the substrate and configured to provide fluid to the one or more grow portions. The system may further include a method of operation including one or more acts of: obtaining a weather forecast for a future time period; determining whether rain is expected during the future time period; and preventing, terminating, or restricting an irrigation cycle when it is determined that rain is expected during the fare time period. The restricting may restrict a flow of liquid during the irrigation cycle or shorten the irrigation interval.
MULTI-FLUID SPRAY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT APPLICATION
An agricultural multi-fluid spray system includes a plurality of working fluid sources and a plurality of lines carrying a plurality of working fluids from the plurality of working fluid sources. A first spray nozzle has a plurality of inlets coupled to the plurality of lines and has a plurality of outlets selectively coupled to the plurality of inlets. The first spray nozzle has at least one control valve operatively positioned between the plurality of inlets and the plurality of outlets. The first spray nozzle is configured to segregate the plurality of working fluids into a plurality of fluid paths within the first spray nozzle upstream of the at least one control valve. The at least one control valve is configured and controlled to selectively route the plurality of fluid paths to one or more of the plurality of outlets.
NOZZLES WITH INTERCHANGEABLE INSERTS FOR PRECISION APPLICATION OF CROP PROTECTANT
A treatment system for spraying treatment fluid onto plants in a field is described. The treatment system includes a configurable treatment mechanism including an array of nozzles and valve assemblies coupled into manifolds, and manifold assemblies. The nozzle comprises a nozzle housing and an insert assembly contained within the nozzle housing. When coupled, a top casing including a fluid inlet and a bottom casing including at least one fluid outlet form the nozzle housing. The insert assembly comprises at least one nozzle insert to fluidically couple the fluid inlet and the fluid outlets such that fluid entering from the fluid inlet exits the nozzle housing through the fluid outlets.
Row crop sprayer
A row crop sprayer for use in spraying a liquid herbicide onto the ground between crop rows. The sprayer includes structure for deflecting the canopies of the crop rows to expose the ground adjacent the crop rows.
INSECTICIDE SPRAYER AND NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
A method of operating a fluid sprayer includes dispersing a first fluid selected from a group consisting of larvicide, adulticide, and a barrier repellant from the fluid sprayer with a first nozzle assembly at a first volumetric flow rate, replacing the first nozzle assembly with a second nozzle assembly, and dispersing a second fluid selected from the group from the fluid sprayer with the second nozzle assembly at a second volumetric flow rate different than the first volumetric flow rate.
MODULAR ELEMENT OF AN ARM OF A SPRAY BAR
A modular element for the manufacturing of an arm or of an arm segment of a spray bar provided with spray nozzles, including a first profile determining a longitudinal housing open downwards and at each of its longitudinal ends. A reinforcement is disposed above the first profile in such a way that the respective longitudinal axes of the reinforcement and of the first profile belong to the vertical plane P of longitudinal symmetry of said modular element. A plurality of stiffeners longitudinally connect at least the first profile and the reinforcement to each other, and two plates are disposed at one of the longitudinal ends of said first profile and laterally connect at least the longitudinal ends of the first profile and of the reinforcement to each other.
