Exhaust gas treatment system
An exhaust system for the treatment of an exhaust gas comprising a species to be treated, the system comprising: a first gas inlet for providing a flow of exhaust gas; a second gas inlet for providing a flow of heated gas; a plurality of sorbent beds for releasably storing the species; one or more catalysts for decomposing the species; first and second exhaust gas outlets; and a valve system configured to establish independently for each sorbent bed fluid communication in a first or second configuration, wherein: i) in the first configuration the flow of the exhaust gas from the first gas inlet contacts a sorbent bed for storing the species and then passes to the first gas outlet; and ii) in the second configuration the flow of heated gas from the second gas inlet contacts a sorbent bed for releasing the species, passes to one of the one or more catalysts and then passes to the second exhaust gas outlet; wherein the valve system is configured to ensure that at least one sorbent bed is in the first configuration and, preferably at least one other sorbent bed is in the second configuration.
AIR PURIFICATION DEVICE
An air purification device includes a housing, a purification dust collection structure, an ultraviolet lamp, and a harmful substance removal structure. The housing is provided with an air inlet and an air outlet, with an air supply channel formed between the air inlet and the air outlet. The purification dust collection structure is located in the air supply channel. The ultraviolet lamp is arranged in the air supply channel and configured to at least oxidize and decompose volatile compounds in air entering the air supply channel. The harmful substance removal structure is arranged in the air supply channel and configured to at least remove harmful substances generated during operation of the ultraviolet lamp.
PROCESS FOR ENERGY RECOVERY IN CARBON BLACK PRODUCTION
A combustible gas from carbon black production is utilized in a gas engine by adding an oxygen-containing gas to the combustible gas, passing said mixed gas over a selective catalyst, which is active for oxidizing H.sub.2S to SO.sub.2 but substantially inactive for oxidation of CO, H.sub.2 and other hydrocarbons with less than 4 C-atoms, passing the converted gas through an SO.sub.2 removal step, and passing the cleaned gas to a gas engine or to an energy recovery boiler. This way, the tail gas from carbon black production, which is normally combusted in a CO boiler or incinerated, can be utilized to good effect.
Honeycomb filter
A honeycomb filter includes a plurality of cells and porous cell walls. Exhaust gas is to flow through the plurality of cells. The plurality of cells include exhaust gas introduction cells and exhaust gas emission cells. The honeycomb filter has a round cross sectional shape. Each of the exhaust gas emission cells is adjacently surrounded fully by the exhaust gas introduction cells. In the cross section, the exhaust gas introduction cells and the exhaust gas emission cells each have a polygonal shape. In the cross section, a side forming a cross sectional shape of each of the first exhaust gas introduction cells faces one of the exhaust gas emission cells, a side forming a cross sectional shape of each of the second exhaust gas introduction cells faces one of the exhaust gas emission cells.
METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF OXYGEN FROM AN INDUSTRIAL GAS
Oxygen is removed from a gas feed such as a landfill gas, a digester gas or an industrial CO.sub.2 off-gas by removing sulfur-containing compounds and siloxanes from the feed gas, heating the feed gas, injecting one or more reactants for oxygen conversion into the heated feed gas, carrying out a selective catalytic oxygen conversion in at least onesuitable reactor and cleaning the resulting oxygen-depleted gas. The reactants to be injected comprise one or more of H.sub.2, CO, ammonia, urea, methanol, ethanol and dimethylether (DME).
A PROCESS FOR THE PURIFYING OF A RAW GAS STREAM CONTAINING MAINLY C1-C5 HYDROCARBONS AND CARBON DIOXIDE, AND IMPURITIES OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC SULFUR COMPOUNDS, HALOGENATED AND NON-HALOGENATED VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS AND OXYGEN
A method for the purification of a raw gas stream by selective catalytic oxidation, in which organic and inorganic sulfur compounds, halogenated and non-halogenated volatile organic compounds are selectively oxidized without substantially oxidizing the lower hydrocarbons and the sulfur containing compounds present in the gas to sulfur trioxide and excess of oxygen is removed by oxidation of lower alcohols, ethers or hydrogen added to the raw gas stream upstream the catalytic oxidation.
INTEGRATED CARBON CAPTURE AND CONVERISON FOR PRODUCTION OF SYNGAS
A method of capturing and converting a gas includes supplying a first gas to an adsorption column, adsorbing a first component of the first gas into an adsorbent contained in the adsorption column responsive to the adsorbent having an increased affinity for the first component, venting a second component of the first gas out of the adsorption column, supplying a second gas to the adsorption column so as to increase a partial pressure of the second gas thereby decreasing the partial pressure of the first component within the adsorption column, desorbing the first component from the adsorbent responsive to the increased partial pressure of the second gas and decreased partial pressure of the at least one first component, and transmitting a mixture of the first component and the second gas to a reactor via a reactor line.
AIR POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEM
An air pollution control system includes adenitration device that removes nitrogen oxide in flue gas from a boiler; a heat transfer tube for recovering part of heat of the flue gas after denitration; a precipitator that removes soot and dust in the flue gas after heat recovery; a desulfurization device that removes sulfur oxide in the flue gas discharged from the precipitator; a heat transfer tube for heating the flue gas discharged from the desulfurization device; a circulation pump that circulates a heat medium between the heat transfer tubes; a heat medium heater provided to the circulation pipe to heat the heat medium; and a control device that controls the heat medium heater based on an ammonia concentration at an outlet of the denitration device. The control device causes the heat medium heater to heat the heat medium when the ammonia concentration is higher than a certain value.
Gas purifier
The invention relates to a gas purifier that removes moisture and oxygen from inert gases and reducing gases, for example, at sub-atmospheric pressures. The purifier can remove part per million levels of moisture in a gas stream to less than 100 parts per trillion by volume, and has a low pressure drop and a sharp breakthrough curve.
