A beverage maker is provided having a filtered water system for processing pressurized potable water, a flavor infusion system, and a beverage discharge. Purified filtered water is thereby directed alternately directly to a beverage discharge, or through the flavor infusion system to the beverage discharge. An additional water carbonation system may be incorporated between the filtered water and the flavor infusion system such that carbonated, filtered water may be directed alternately directly to a beverage discharge, or through the flavor infusion system to the beverage discharge. The beverage maker is capable of alternately dispensing filtered, flavored, carbonated or noncarbonated water based beverages.

Mixing of Extrudable Plastics with Small Amounts of Other Substances

A main extruder and a side arm extruder are used in the extrusion of plastics with small amounts of additives or other small substances to be admixed. A minor portion of the plastic material is premixed with small quantity additive substances in a side arm extruder. The premixed material is discharged from the side arm extruder into the main extruder and there mixed with a major portion of feed material.

INTEGRATED LIME HYDRATOR

A lime hydrator integrated into a flue gas desulfurization system or other industrial system is provided that provides an in-situ variable rate of cured hydrated lime production for a variable supply rate of the in-situ produced cured hydrated lime for use within a flue gas stream as a moistened hydrated lime for a reduction of acid gas present in a flue gas stream. Also provided is a method of using a lime hydrator integrated into a flue gas desulfurization system or other industrial system to provide in-situ a variable production rate of cured hydrated lime for a variable supply rate of the in-situ produced cured hydrated lime for use within a flue gas stream as a moistened hydrated lime for a reduction of acid gas present in a flue gas stream.

STORAGE VESSEL

A storage vessel assembly for storing chemical includes a storage vessel, a frame for housing the storage vessel, an agitation device disposed in the storage vessel, a temperature control system coupled to the storage vessel, and a controller configured to operate the agitation device and the temperature control system.

Methods of making medical solutions and related systems

This disclosure relates to making medical solutions. In certain aspects, a method is performed by a data processing apparatus. The method includes introducing liquid into a container that contains a dissolvable solid concentrate in a manner so that a layer of solution above the solid concentrate is maintained at a depth that allows the liquid introduced into the container to agitate the solution adjacent to the solid concentrate to cause mixing of the solid concentrate with the solution.

SENSING AND AGITATION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PARTICULATE MATERIAL

A particulate material sensing and agitation control system includes a controller with a memory and a processor, where the controller is configured to receive at least one sensor signal indicative of a measured profile of a particulate material within a storage tank of an agricultural system, determine whether a variation between the measured profile and a target profile is greater than a threshold value, and output a first output signal to a user interface indicative of instructions to inform an operator of a profile variation, output a second signal to an agitating system indicative of activation of the agitating system, or a combination thereof, in response to determining that the variation between the measured profile and the target profile is greater than the threshold value.

MIXING DEVICE AND MOLDING MACHINE

A mixing device is configured for the continuous provision of a gelling mass for a molding machine. The mixing device includes an inlet, an outlet and a conduit section which is situated between the inlet and the outlet and into which at least one admixing conduit runs out, via which admixing conduit a substance to be admixed can be fed such that the substance to be admixed is mixed with a base mass which is fed through the inlet, in a mixing region in the conduit section. The mixing device is configured in a manner such that the spatial distance between the outlet and the mixing region in which the substance to be admixed is mixed with the base mass, can be changed. A molding machine with such a mixing device and to a method for processing a flowable and gellable mass are provided.

Caffeine reduction apparatus and method of manufacturing coffee grounds powder using same

A method of manufacturing a coffee grounds powder includes: an inputting process in which coffee grounds are input into a mixing portion of a caffeine reduction apparatus; a water inputting process in which an inlet and outlet pipe is opened and water is filled inside the main housing such that the coffee grounds input into the mixing portion are submerged; an ultraviolet ray emitting process in which ultraviolet rays are emitted to the water and an inside of the mixing portion; an elution water discharging process in which an elution water in which caffeine is decomposed is discharged to an outside from the main housing; a drying process in which the coffee grounds that remain in the mixing portion are dried by rotating the mixing portion; and a mixing process in which the coffee grounds in which drying is finished are mixed with a viscous additive.

Systems and methods for gas disposal

A method for controlling the saturation level of gas in a liquid discharge includes obtaining temperature and pressure measurements of a solvent in a mixing vessel and obtaining a pressure measurement of a source feedstock in a feedstock tank, correlating the temperature and pressure measurements of the solvent to baseline data to generate a theoretical uptake rate for the source feedstock into the solvent and a theoretical flow rate of the source feedstock into the mixing vessel, and determining a required opening setting for a feedstock valve in the feedstock input line in order to achieve a desired liquid displacement in the mixing vessel. The method includes determining an uptake duration and achieving an uptake displacement equivalent to the reverse of the desired liquid displacement. The method includes generating a valve operating control law for how the feedstock valve should function in a cycle.
