A paint nozzle used in a paint device has a paint channel that supplies paint, an air channel that supplies air, and a nozzle plate that is connected to the paint channel and the air channel. This nozzle plate is provided with a merging section that causes the paint and the air to merge and mix, and a discharge port that discharges, as paint particles, the paint and the air in a mixed state from the merging section. In addition, the interior of the nozzle plate has a tapered portion that connects the merging section and the discharge port and that tapers toward the discharge port on the distal end side.

System, method, and apparatus for hot melt adhesive application
11065640 · 2021-07-20 · ·

A hot melt adhesive applicator with one or more air outlets configured to direct a pressurized heated air stream transversely toward hot melt adhesive discharged through a discharge port of the applicator. A controller can switch between two modes, a discharge completion mode where the heated air stream pressure is temporarily increased to automatically eliminate or reduce hot melt adhesive stringing and an application mode where the heated air stream assists in heating or maintaining the hot melt adhesive at or above melt temperature.

Nozzle for Spraying Substances and Method for the Open-Loop or Closed-Loop Control of the Nozzle
20230398560 · 2023-12-14 ·

A nozzle for spraying substances, more particularly dispersions, emulsions or suspensions, and to a method for the open-loop or closed-loop control of the volumetric flow rate of a substance to be sprayed and/or of a gas of a nozzle suitable for spraying substances, more particularly dispersions, emulsions or suspensions. The nozzle includes an inner tube discharge opening and a constriction in an inner tube channel carrying the substance to be sprayed at a distance from the inner tube discharge opening.

Vacuum spray apparatus and uses thereof
11040376 · 2021-06-22 · ·

Spray apparatus and uses thereof are described herein. A vacuum spray nozzle apparatus may include a first tube in fluid communication with a fluid source, a rotor coupled to the tube, a conduit in fluid communication with the passages of the first tube, and a second tube coupled to the conduit, the second tube being in fluid communication with a vacuum source. The rotor is in fluid communication with the pressurized fluid source. The conduit is substantially arched or angled such that an outlet of the conduit is offset a radial distance in a radial direction from the rotor axis, and when pressurized fluid is ejected from the outlet, during use, rotates the conduit. The vacuum spray nozzle apparatus is configured to remove components from a material through the second tube when a pressure of the system is reduced using the vacuum source.

Fluidized bed spray dryer system

A fluidized bed spray drying system for drying liquid into powder including an elongated drying chamber, a spray nozzle assembly at an upper end of the drying chamber and a powder collection chamber at a lower end of the drying chamber. A drying gas inlet is provided in the powder collection chamber and a drying gas outlet is provided at an upper end of the drying chamber. A plurality of cylindrical filter elements at the upper end of the drying chamber are in communication with the exhaust gas outlet for filtering drying gas borne powder from drying gas exiting the drying chamber.

Modular device for cell spraying

Systems and methods for spraying a liquid treatment solution include a syringe attachment device and a handheld device. The syringe attachment device can be configured to secure a syringe containing the liquid treatment solution. The handheld device can have a movable slide configured to dispense the treatment solution from the syringe. The spray deposition system can include a cover' positioned to provide an impervious barrier between at least a portion of the syringe attachment device and the handheld device. The cover can be attached to the syringe attachment device prior to coupling the devices together. In an example, the cover can have a generally tubular shape with a closed end and an open end. The handheld device can be inserted into the cover and the cover can enclose the handheld device in the assembled position. In an example, the cover can be sterile and at least a portion of the syringe attachment device can be sterile.

CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE FOR SPRAYING A FLUID, ARRANGEMENT HAVING A CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE
20210170430 · 2021-06-10 ·

A cluster head nozzle for spraying a fluid, having a single-piece housing and multiple outlet openings which are arranged around a central region on a front side of the housing for individual spray jets, and at least one purge air outlet opening for purge air. The at least one purge air outlet opening and sections of a feed channel for the purge air are provided in the single-piece housing.

Nozzle assemblies, systems and related methods

Nozzle assemblies (10) for spray guns are disclosed. The nozzle assemblies (10) generally include a fluid outlet (100) extending along a fluid axis (102), the fluid outlet (100) including a fluid aperture (104) and a fluid side wall (164) defining the fluid aperture (104), an atomizing aperture (108) adjacent the fluid side wall (164) and at least partially surrounding the fluid axis (102), an atomizing inlet (110) configured to receive a pressurized gas, and an adjustment member (150) located on the nozzle assembly (10) and movable to: (i) an atomizing position such that the atomizing inlet (110) is in communication with the atomizing aperture (108), and (ii) a non-atomizing position such that the atomizing inlet (110) is not in communication with the atomizing aperture (108). The foregoing nozzle assemblies (810) allow dispensing of fluid coating media in both spray and bead patterns with improved ease of cleaning, superior spray performance, and adaptability with existing spray gun platforms.
