Method of inspecting ultraviolet curable resin for optical fiber and method of manufacturing optical fiber
A method of inspecting a degree of air bubbles which are mixed into an ultraviolet curable resin for an optical fiber having viscosity of 1.2 Pa.Math.s to 6.2 Pa.Math.s at a temperature of 255 C., is performed in such a manner that the ultraviolet curable resin for an optical fiber which is an inspecting target is put into a sealed apparatus, then the inside of the sealed apparatus is decompressed to be a predetermined pressure, and then the sealed apparatus is left to stand as it is for a predetermined time. If a ratio of the volume expansion of the ultraviolet curable resin for an optical fiber is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold, the ultraviolet curable resin for an optical fiber is recognized as an accepted product.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEALANT
A method for producing a sealant includes a weighing and mixing step, a kneading step, a stirring and defoaming step, and a filling step. In the weighing and mixing step, a main component and a curing agent are weighed and mixed together. In the kneading step, the mixture mixed in the weighing and mixing step is kneaded. In the stirring and defoaming step, the kneaded product kneaded in the kneading step is stirred and defoamed. In the filling step, the kneaded product defoamed in the stirring and defoaming step is filled into a container. In the stirring and defoaming step, the kneaded product is stirred under a condition wherein a stirring rotational speed at which the kneaded product is stirred and a stirring time for which the kneaded product is stirred are within a range from a product lower limit value to a product upper limit value.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CRYSTALLIZING TACKY MATERIALS USING A TUMBLER
A tumbler crystallizer for crystallizing pelleted, tacky, polymeric materials includes a housing for rotatably supporting a removable paneled drum on rollers. The removable panels may be made of a transparent, heat-insulating material. The drum receives a flow of hot pellets through an inlet chute, and a tumbling action of the drum and internal agitators keeps the pellets in motion relative to each other to prevent agglomeration until they reach a desired level of crystallinity and are no longer tacky. Baffle plates are provided at intervals along the length of the drum to slow the flow of pellets therethrough to increase residence time. Damper plates are provided near the exit end of the drum to aid in building a bed of pellets within the drum, and also to control residence time of the pellets within the drum.
Agitation/defoaming method and agitation/defoaming device
[Problem] To provide a agitation/defoaming method and device with which both of uniformity in dispersion of object to be processed and reduction of air bubbles can be achieved with high precision. [Solution] Provided is a agitation/defoaming method for producing orbital and spin motions of a container containing object to be processed by a device provided with orbital and spin drive motors that can independently control the velocities of the orbital and spin motions. Both defoaming and agitating treatments with high precision can be achieved by respectively performing a reverse rotation superimposition processing, wherein the rotational frequency of the spin drive motor is obtained by superimposing the first rotational frequency in a direction opposite to the direction of the orbital motion on the frequency of the orbital motion, and a same rotation superimposition processing, wherein the rotational frequency of the spin drive motor is obtained by superimposing the second rotational frequency in the same direction as the direction of the orbital motion on the frequency of the orbital motion, at least once.

ANTIBACTERIAL RESIN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A method for manufacturing an antibacterial resin according to the present invention includes the following steps. The method includes: a preparation step of preparing synthetic resin powder and an antibacterial additive; a dispersion step of introducing into a mixer the synthetic resin powder together with iron balls having a pointed protrusion formed on an outer surface thereof and dispersing particles; a dispersion and mixing step of introducing the antibacterial additive into the mixer containing the synthetic resin powder, followed by dispersion and mixing; a pellet forming step of separating the iron balls and forming the mixture of the synthetic resin powder and the antibacterial additive into pellets by melting, extrusion and cutting; and a product producing step of introducing the pellets into an injection molding machine to produce an antibacterial resin product; wherein white charcoal powder is included in the antibacterial additive in the mixing step.
