CUSTOM-MADE ARTIFICIAL NIPPLE
An artificial nipple is formed of an elastomeric polymer by use of 3D printing after imaging of a mother's breast in an active state of lactation. The artificial nipple used as an attachment to a baby bottle or as the nipple component of a pacifier. Use of an artificial nipple formed in this manner mitigates a problem with nipple confusion, as may otherwise manifest in newborn offspring.
Nanocontact Molding and Casting: from 3D Fingerprint Phantoms to Designed Nanostructures
A method for fabricating a mold. The mold may comprise mold features with nanometer-scale resolution or minimum dimensions (e.g. the mold replicates nanometer-scale features of a master). The mold may comprise mold features with nanometer to micrometer-scale resolution or minimum dimensions (e.g. the mold replicates nanometer to micrometer-scale features of a master). The method may comprise providing a plate; applying a solvent to a first surface of the plate; allowing the solvent to penetrate from the first surface into the plate to thereby soften a first region of the plate, the first region of the plate including the first surface; pressing a master against the first region of the plate after the first region of the plate has softened to thereby deform at least a portion of the first region into a negative mold; and removing the master from contact with the plate.
Method for producing a negative cast for a brace with corrective forces to control PLC deficiencies
A casting method for a brace having corrective forces is disclosed. The foot is externally rotated during casting and corrective forces are applied at the lateral knee and anteromedial ankle. With the knee flexed at between about 70 to 90, the cast is fully extended, which places the knee in a position which will reduce the pressures on the medial knee. This is the position desired during the casting process with the knee flexed and then held while extending the knee. The result is control of the posterior lateral rotation, therefore controlling the posterior subluxation of the tibial plateau to achieve the motion and alignment that the screw home motion produces.
Foot impression device, system, and related methods
An impression device has a base having a recess and a conduit for fluidly coupling the recess to a vacuum source configured to temporarily apply a vacuum pressure to the recess. The device has a first plurality of particles positioned in the recess, the first plurality of particles sealed from an external environment and consisting essentially of a plurality of circular glass beads. The device has a flexible membrane coupled to the base adjacent to the first plurality of particles and holding the first plurality of particles in the base. The first plurality of particles has a first coefficient of friction between each other selected to allow the particles to move relative to each other in the absence of the vacuum pressure and to prevent the particles from moving relative to each other in the presence of the vacuum pressure.

MOLD AND METHOD FOR GETTING FOOT MODEL THEREOF
A mold stepped on by a foot includes a seat, a plurality of telescopic rods, an image capturing device and an insole material. The telescopic rods are parallel to each other and are disposed in the seat. The telescopic rods stepped on by the foot generate a plurality of restoring forces, respectively. The image capturing device is disposed on the seat. The telescopic rods are captured by the image capturing device to generate a plurality of three-dimensional data of the telescopic rods. The insole material is disposed below the telescopic rods for molding an insole.
CUSTOM ELASTOMERIC EARMOLD WITH SECONDARY MATERIAL INFUSION
A method of making a mold, the mold having an interior cavity for containing a first material and a second material, wherein the mold comprises a first port configured to receive the first material, a second port configured to receive the second material, and a first channel for directing the second material to within the first material, the method includes: determining an electronic file having data representing a shape of an ear; processing the electronic file to create an electronic model of the mold, the electronic model of the mold having sprue features; and creating the mold based on the electronic model of the mold.
Memorial object for preserving cremains and methods to produce
This device is a memorial product manufactured with cremation remains encased in various non-glass materials. A is the making of a special impression molding device from an original form of a person, pet or special object, alive or deceased, and processing this form as a memorial and a vessel made from cremation ashes. The final restoration can be accurate and well adapted from the initial impression. Then a cementitious or plaster of Paris mix is used for the purposes of making the memorial product from the impressions. A ratio of water to cementitious material and other additives are suitable. The mix flows well into the pits, fissures and undercuts. It shows impeccable details. If desired, a finish seal, paint, electro-plate, or metal leaf can be utilized as a finish.
Mold and method for getting foot model thereof
A mold includes a seat, a plurality of guiding tracks, a plurality of positioning grooves, a plurality of telescopic rods, a plurality of elastic members, at least one sliding device and an insole material. The guiding tracks are disposed on the seat. The positioning grooves are disposed on the seat and are corresponding to the guiding tracks, respectively. The telescopic rods include a plurality of abutting portions, respectively. The elastic members are disposed in the seat for applying a plurality of restoring forces to the telescopic rods, respectively. The sliding member is movable along the track to press the abutting portions, and the abutting portions are connected tightly to each other so as to position the telescopic rods. The insole material is disposed below the telescopic rods for molding an insole.
