Shock Absorber Assembly of a Suspension System of a Vehicle
According to one embodiment a shock absorber assembly is provided that comprises a top mount and a jounce bumper. The jounce bumper includes a main body manufactured of an elastic material and a fixing element manufactured of a second material harder than the former. The jounce bumper is removably attached to the top mount through use of a movable retaining element housed in the fixing element, retaining said fixing element in the top mount in a first locking position and releasing said fixing element in a second unlocking position.
Air spring hybrid piston assembly
An air spring includes a damper, a support ring associated with a portion of the damper, and a piston assembly. The piston assembly includes a first piston member press-fitted to the damper, and a second piston member fitted with the first piston member. The second piston member is supported by the support ring. The two-piece piston assembly allows for a large package for volume at low cost.
Suspension Strut Bearing
A suspension strut bearing having a cap and a guide ring mounted such that it is rotatable in relation to the cap about an axis of rotation, a plain bearing or rolling bearing provided between the cap and the guide ring and a supporting ring provided for a bump stop, which supporting ring extends radially internally around the guide ring, and the supporting ring is connected to the guide ring with material fit.
Urethane bumper spring, and method for producing same
A urethane bumper spring is produced from a urethane raw material containing a polyester-based polyol as a polyol component and diphenylmethane diisocyanate as an isocyanate component, and includes: a skin layer; and a core portion, in which the skin layer has a density (Da) and a foamed cell diameter (Ra), and the core portion has a density (Db) and a foamed cell diameter (Rb). The density (Da), the foamed cell diameter (Ra), the density (Db), and the foamed cell diameter (Rb) satisfy relationships shown in the following expressions: 1.0Da/Db<1.34 (1) and 0.53<Ra/Rb1.0 (2). Accordingly, the urethane bumper spring can achieve a cost reduction while having durability and settling resistance under high load and high deformation.
Suspension stop device
A suspension stop device provides an upper contact cap, a lower support cap and at least one bearing arranged between the caps. The upper contact cap provides a centering portion for a damper pad, inside which the pad, which is external to the device, is intended to be mounted. The centering portion extends axially inside a bore in the lower support cap.
Air spring piston with integrated sealing
An air spring for air suspension system comprises a piston assembly and a damper assembly where the piston assembly is spaced apart from the damper assembly to at least partially define an air chamber. A seal is molded with piston walls to form an integrated piston assembly. The seal includes at least one sealing lip extending radially inward from the piston assembly at an angle that is non-perpendicular to an axis of the damper and the at least one sealing lip contacts the damper assembly when the piston assembly and the damper assembly are assembled together to seal the air chamber.
DUST BOOT, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DUST BOOT, AND SHOCK ABSORBER
A dust boot includes a tubular boot body and an annular flange portion linked to an upper end of the boot body. In an outer side of the flange portion, an angle between the flange portion and a line perpendicular to an axis of the boot body is set to be larger than 0 and smaller than 90.
DAMPING SYSTEM FOR A CABIN OF A MOVABLE WORK MACHINE
The invention relates to a damping system for a cabin of a movable work machine, wherein the cabin is supported to the frame of the work machine with suspension elements, the suspension elements forming a ROPS resistant structure and including: a first for fastening the cabin to the first end of the suspension element, a second stopper for fastening the frame to the second end of the suspension element, a guide element comprising a slide guide and a support arm, the slide guide and the support arm being arranged to move relative to each other, and the guide element having opposite ends, one of which is in the slide guide and the other is in the support arm, and one opposite ends is mechanically bound to the first end and the other is mechanically bound to the second end, a spring element, and a damping element.
Dual-rate jounce bumper
A dual-rate jounce bumper limits jounce travel between a first component and a second component of a vehicle. The second component is spaced from and moveable toward the first component along a jounce axis. The dual-rate jounce bumper includes a bumper and an outer member. The bumper has a first end for coupling to the first component and a second end spaced from the first end for contacting the second component as the second component moves along the jounce axis toward the first component. The bumper is compressible between the first and second components for limiting jounce travel. The bumper is also radially expandable as the bumper is compressed. The outer member is disposed about the bumper and is capable of limiting the radial expansion of the bumper as the bumper is compressed for increasing a stiffness of the bumper.
LOAD MANAGEMENT STRIKER CAP
A load management striker cap (LMSC), a method of forming the load management striker cap and a suspension system having the load management striker cap for a vehicle provide a cost-effective solution to manage a high load capacity in vehicles by absorbing surplus and extremely high energy transmitted by impact from a jounce bumper. The load management striker cap avoids transmission of the impact force to the frame of the vehicle as well as reduces failure of the suspension system components.
